Abstract

Program ketahanan pangan di Indonesia mengisyaratkan tiga hal yaitu jumlahnya cukup, mutunya baik dan dapat dijangkau oleh masyarakat. Seiring dengan tingginya permintaan bahan pangan yang bergizi baik merupakan sasaran akhir dari program pemerintah dibidang ketahanan pangan. Oleh karenanya pemantapan ketahanan pangan dapat dilakukan juga pada di tingkat rumah tangga. Salah satu program yang dianggap paling mudah dilakukan ditingkat rumah tangga adalah Rumah Pangan Lestari (RPL) namun lebih diarahkan pada produk yang bersifat organik. Kegiatan pertanian model ini selain bernilai ekonomi, juga berfungsi sosial, dan ekologi. Penggunaan ruang yang tersedia walaupun dalam luasan yang kecil akan mampu menyediakan pangan yang bernilai gizi dalam jumlah yang cukup. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk memberdayakan kelompok ibu-ibu rumah tangga yang tidak bekerja yang tergabung dalam PKK untuk pemanfaatan pekarangan sebagai usaha sampingan. Model kegiatan yang dilakukan meliputi kegiatan pendidikan dan pelatihan dan pendampingan kegiatan pembuatan Rumah Pangan Lestari (RPL) yang berorientasi organik. Hasil kegiatan ini memberikan dampak posistif terhadap perubahan perilaku masyarakat. Sampah rumah tangga yang semuala tidak dimanfaatkan dapat dijadikan sebagai pupuk organic. Lahan kosong disekitar rumah dan sepanjang kiri kanan jalan yang selama ini tidak dimanfaatkan, dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai kawasan yang menunjang ekonomi masyarakat. Pendapatan keluarga yang diperoleh masing-masing rumah tangga antara Rp. 200.000 – Rp. 400.000,- per bulan. Lingkungan yang dulu terkesan gersang kini berubah menjadi sejuk dan dan asri.

Abstract

Soil health is a global concern related to food health issues, and the intensity of using agrochemicals contributes greatly to contamination by Pb (lead), Cd (cadmium), Cu (copper), Zn (zinc), and other heavy metals. Land contaminated with heavy metals is absorbed by plants and transferred to tissue, causing food to be unhealthy for consumption. Soil improvers such as biochar and chitosan have been widely used for improvement, but the use remains partial. In this context, granular coating technology is the right choice for overcoming soil problems. Chitosan-coated biochar technology is an effort to combine biochar and chitosan, which are made into granules and function as soil amendments. Therefore, this study aimed to obtain oil amendments that are effective in reducing heavy metals in soil. The target was for the soil to be healthy as well as produce healthy and safe food products. A completely randomized design was used with three replications. The production of granular chitosan biochar was then investigated on vegetable plants. Growth observations were carried out every week until the plants were about to be harvested, while soil and heavy metal analysis was conducted before and after planting. The observed data were analyzed using an Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) and Least Significant Difference (LSD) tests. The results showed that a chitosan-coated biochar dose of 20 t/ha increased plant growth in all observed parameters. The use of chitosan-coated biochar reduced Pb from 10.77 mg/kg to 6.73 mg/kg, Cd from 5.01 mg/kg to 2.56 mg/kg, and Cu from  71.22 mg/kg to 25.65 mg/kg.

This experiment aimed to determine the best dose of biosan (biochar and chitosan) on the growth of water spinach. This experiment used a complete randomised design (CRD). With 5 treatments and 3 replications. Treatments consisted of no biosan (B0); biosan 5 tons/ha (B1); biosan 10 tons/ha (B2); biosan 15 tons/ha (B3); biosan 20 tons/ha (B4). The parameters observed included vegetative, while the heavy metal measured was Cu. Data analysis used anova at the 5% level, and BNT test. The results showed that the treatment dose of biosan 20 tonnes/ha was the ideal dose for the growth of kale plants aged 6 weeks after planting. The average results obtained include plant height (39.12) cm, number of leaves (14.00) strands, leaf area (362.62) cm2, plant wet weight (83.72) g, plant dry weight (5.42) g and production yield of 27.91 tonnes/ha. The results of Cu heavy metal analysis showed a significant decrease in Cu. Biosan, besides being used as a soil improver, can also be used to control heavy metal Cu.

Abstract

[CORRELATION AND PATH ANALYSES FOR DETERMINING THE SELECTION CRITERIA OF HIGH YIELDING SWEET POTATO (Ipomoea batatas (L.) Lam.)]. Sweet potatoes can serve as an alternative source of healthy carbohydrates. The productivity of sweet potato is relatively low, namely 13,51 tons/ha. Plant breeding activities are one of the solutions to develop superior varieties. The success of plant breeding is determined by the success of the selection activity, one of which is determined by the selection characters used. Correlation and path analysis are used to study the closeness of the quantitative variables as the basis for a more efficient selection program. The purpose of research was to determine the character selection of sweet potato and determine the correlation pattern between the observed characters based on the correlation coefficient value along the direct and indirect effect. The research was carried out on dry land with Inceptisol dryland, at an altitude of 350 m above sea level using a randomized block design with three replications. The material used in the researh was thirteen sweet potato genotypes. The results of the correlation analysis showed that the tuber yield had a very strong and positive correlation to the number of plants (r = 0.706), tuber fresh weight (r = 0.816), and tuber BK (r = 0.898), while the tuber number variable had a moderate positive correlation. (r = 0.605). Several variables also showed a negative relationship, including stover fresh weight,% BK tuber, BK stover, and BK biomass. Based on the analysis and path analysis, the BK variable can be used as an effective and efficient selection variable in producing high yield sweet potatoes.

Abstract

Islamic Religious Education (IRE) plays an important role in shaping the character of students in the digital era, but many challenges are faced, including low interest and motivation of students in learning. This study aims to analyze students' needs for the development of Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based digital comic media as an innovative solution to improve IRE learning in Junior High School. Using a quantitative descriptive method, this study involved 30 students from grade VII of SMP Negeri 7 Sekayu and used a questionnaire to collect data. The results of the analysis showed that 77.3% of students had difficulty understanding material, with only 35% showing interest in the lesson. This fact is balanced by a very high interest (82.8%) in the use of digital comic media. Only 39% of students feel that learning media is currently effective, signaling the need for a more engaging approach. This research brings hope for the development of AI-based digital comic media that is interactive and relevant to students, although limited to one school and a small sample. The suggestion for future research is to involve more schools and explore various other learning mediums to improve student learning outcomes in the field of religious education.
