Abstract

This study investigates the extent to which social network characteristics, religious identity, and past political participation influence voting intentions in Indonesia's 2024 general election, with a particular focus on the implications of religiosity in a predominantly Muslim society. A quantitative survey method was employed, gathering primary data through both online and offline surveys from 314 participants across selected locations in Indonesia. Multilevel modelling techniques were used to analyse the relationship between social network characteristics, religious identity, and voting intentions. The results revealed that social network characteristics, such as the frequency of interaction and socio-political discussions, do not significantly influence voting intentions. In contrast, religiocentrism negatively impacts voting intentions, suggesting that individuals with more conservative religious beliefs are less likely to vote. However, past offline political participation was found to be a strong positive predictor of voting intentions. These findings highlight the need for targeted interventions that address the concerns of conservative religious groups and reinforce the civic duty associated with voting. Understanding the limited role of social networks in this context can inform strategies to increase voter turnout in future elections. This study provides new insights into the complex interplay between religious identity, social networks, and political behaviour in Indonesia, a predominantly Muslim and culturally diverse nation, particularly in the post-pandemic socio-political landscape.

Abstract

ABSTRAKJantung adalah organ vital yang menuntut perhatian khusus, terutama untuk orang dengan resiko serangan jantung. Bagi orang kategori ini, diperlukan detektor detak jantung yang bekerja secara kontinu dan real-time yang dapat mendeteksi adanya gangguan jantung secara dini. Pada penelitian ini, penulis mengajukan prototipe sistem monitoring jantung portable (PSMJP) dengan menggunakan modul bio-signal BITalino. Hasil pengukuran diproses pada perangkat komputer yang terhubung dengan BITalino melalui transmisi Bluetooth. Suatu program pemroses sinyal dirancang dengan menggunakan Algorithma Hamilton. Tingkat keberhasilan deteksi pada pengujian terhadap sampel EKG mentah dan pengukuran EKG mentah adalah 100%. PSMJP diujikan kepada 15 naracoba untuk kondisi duduk dan kondisi berjalan. PSMJP berfungsi baik pada 29 dari 30 pengukuran, dimana sinyal elektrik dari jantung terbukti dapat diproses dan memberikan hasil akhir berupa fitur-fitur gelombang detak jantung dan laju detak jantung.Kata kunci: denyut jantung, algoritma Hamilton, BITalino, EKG ABSTRACTThe heart is a vital organ that requires special attention, especially for people with heart attack risk. For people of this category, a heart rate detector that works continuously and in real-time is needed so that heart problems can be detected. In this study, the authors proposed a prototype of a portable heart monitoring system (PPHMS) using the BITalino bio-signal module. The measurement results are processed on a computer device connected to BITalino via Bluetooth transmission. A signal processing program was designed using Hamilton Algorithm. The detection success rate on testing for a raw ECG sample and raw ECG measurement was 100 %. PPHMS was tested on 15 subjects for sitting conditions and walking conditions. PPHMS works well in 29 of the 30 measurements, where electrical signals from the heart are proven to be successfully processed. The final results in the form of heart wave features and heart rate can be provided.Keywords: heart rate, Hamilton Algorithm, BITalino, ECG

Abstract

ABSTRAKKotak pembersih tangan otomatis merupakan perangkat yang dapat membantu proses pembersihan tangan lebih efisien dibandingkan dengan cuci tangan konvensional. Situasi pandemi Covid 19 membutuhkan perangkat yang dapat bekerja non-kontak untuk mengurangi penyebaran virus. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan sebuah kotak pembersih tangan otomatis yang dapat membaca suhu tubuh menggunakan sensor temperature MLX90614 dikombinasikan dengan kunci pintu solenoid, untuk menjaga seseorang yang ingin memasuki ruangan tertentu harus membersihkan tangan dan memiliki suhu di bawah batas. Saat memasuki ruangan, pengukuran suhu tubuh dilakukan dengan meletakkan tangan pengunjung di sisi kiri dan kanan kotak hand sanitizer otomatis yang dilengkapi sensor MLX90614. Sistem ini bekerja secara akurat dan dapat membaca suhu tubuh secara optimal dari 1 cm - 3 cm, dengan perbedaan dengan pengukuran thermometer guns hanya berkisar -0,27%~-1,92%. Selanjutnya sistem ADHC mampu meningkatkan efisiensi waktu sebesar 83,15% jika dibandingkan dengan metode konvensional. The Covid 19 pandemic situation requires a device with a contactless system to reduce the spread of the virus. This research aims to develop an automatic hand sanitizer box that can read body temperature using MLX90614 temperature sensor combined with a solenoid door lock to keep someone who enters the room clean their hands and have a temperature below the limit. When entering the room, body temperature measurement is done by placing the visitor's hand on the left and right sides of the automatic hand sanitizer box, equipped with sensor MLX90614. This system works accurately and can read body temperature optimally from 1 cm - 3 cm, with the difference between the thermometer guns only ranging from -0.27%~-1.92%. Furthermore, the ADHC system is able to increase time efficiency by 83,15% if compared with the conventional method.Keyword: automatic hand cleaning, body temperature check, Bluetooth, RFID.

Abstract

ABSTRAKMeningkatnya jumlah sampah botol plastik sekarang ini telah membawa banyak masalah kesehatan dan lingkungan hidup. Masalah tersebut dapat dikurangi jika seseorang mau membawa botol minum (tumbler) sendiri. Namun, dibutuhkan mesin penjual air mineral untuk mengisi ulang tumbler. Paper ini menjelaskan disain dan implementasi prototipe mesin penjual air mineral otomatis, praktis, dan ekonomis berbasis Arduino Mega 2560 dan RFID-RC522. Pengujian terhadap prototipe ini dilakukan dalam tiga tahap: (1) pengujian jarak baca antara kartu RFID dengan RFID reader, (2) pengujian pada kondisi ideal, dan (3) pengujian pada kondisi tidak ideal. Dari pengujian pertama disimpulkan bahwa RFID-RC522 dapat melakukan pembacaan optimal pada jarak 35 mm. Dari hasil pengujian kedua diperoleh nilai akurasi (keakuratan) pada saat pengisian air sebesar 82%. Sedangkan hasil pengujian ketiga menyatakan bahwa prototipe dapat membaca kemungkinan yang terjadi pada kondisi tidak ideal. Kelemahan dari prototipe ini adalah belum terintegrasi dengan sistem pembayaran uang elektronik (e-money).Kata kunci: Arduino Mega 2560, Mikrokontroller, RFID-RC522, Sampah Plastik. ABSTRACTThe increasing amount of plastic bottle waste today has brought many health and environmental problems. These problem can be minimized when someone brings their own drinking bottle water. But, vending machine-like was needed to refill the tumbler. This paper explains a design implementation of prototype that can provide an automatic, practical, and economical mineral water filling based on Arduino Mega 2560 and RFID-RC522. Testing on this prototype was carried out in three stages: (1) testing of the reading distance between the RFID card and the RFID reader, (2) testing under ideal conditions, and (3) testing under non-ideal conditions. From the first test summarized that the RFID-RC522 can perform optimal readings at a distance of 35 mm. From the second test obtained the accuracy of the prototype when filling water by 82%. And the third test shows that the prototype could read the possibilities occurred in non-ideal conditions. The drawback of this prototype is not yet integrated with e-money payment system.Keywords: Arduino Mega 2560, Microcontroller, RFID-RC522, Plastic Waste.

Abstract

In the midst of lakes or oceans, boats used for recreational fishing that are left immobile are more vulnerable to rolling waves or wind. This study was conducted to develop a prototype of the boat's stabilization system and control scheme in order to address the stability issue with the craft. Based on the prototype concept, a small boat was constructed with a control loop that included two DC motors, a motor driver, a gyroscope MPU6050, and an Arduino Uno microcontroller. A prototype stabilizer was used to evaluate two different sets of control parameters, and in both situations the stabilizer was able to provide the boat with critical interference before bringing it back to a vertical position. PWM 1 level change rate (Pulse-Width-Modulation) yields better results than 4 level change rates (PWM), with faster stabilization achievement. (1,12 seconds versus 2,46 second). In the development of the prototype, it is necessary to test the implementation of the system on the boat to the actual size.

Abstract

Salah satu bencana yang sering terjadi akibat kelalaian kecil sekalipun adalah kebakaran yang dapat menimbulkan banyak korban jiwa. Penelitian ini bertujuan melaksanakan rancang bangun prototipe sistem deteksi kebakaran rumah terintegrasi telegram dan aplikasi online berbasis Internet of Things (iot) untuk mencegah terjadinya kebakaran dan meminimalisir korban jiwa. Sistem terintegrasi akan memberikan peringatan dalam bentuk notifikasi Telegram dan mengirimkan data pada aplikasi Blynk sehingga keadaan rumah dapat dipantau dari jarak jauh. Sistem dirancang dengan tiga level kebakaran. Level 1 (Level Aman) bekerja saat suhu ruangan ≤ 33 ◦C dan kepekatan asap 200 ppm. Level 2 (Level Waspada) bekerja saat suhu ruangan 34-39 ◦C dan kepekatan asap 200 – 349 ppm. Level 3 (Level Bahaya) bekerja saat terdeteksi adanya api, suhu ruangan ≥ 40 ◦C dan kepekatan asap > 350 ppm. Prototipe ini dilengkapi dengan sistem otomatis saat listrik padam menggunakan sensor api KY-026, sensor MQ-2, dan sensor DHT11. Sistem juga menerapkan kontak otomatis dengan power bank yang memberikan tegangan AC ke DC.

Abstract

This study is intended to conduct a scoping review of the application of social network analysis (SNA) in predicting political participation in Indonesia, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic. The literature shows that investigations into political participation are not new in Indonesia. However, research that uses the application of SNA as an approach to explain the behavior of political participation in Indonesia is still very rare. For this reason, a scoping review is needed to provide an overview of political participation using a social network lens. The scoping review implementation was guided by Arksey and O'Malley's 5-step framework. The results of the scoping review show that the political participation among Indonesians is considered at a sufficient level, especially at the regional level. However, investigations of political participation using the SNA method are shown to be very rare. This research is useful for showing topics that can be explored in the social and political fields, especially by using the individual social network approach.

Abstract

This study investigates the integration of high performance communication protocols with adaptive signal processing engines in multi-core systems, aiming to enhance scalability, throughput, and inter-core communication efficiency. The challenges inherent in traditional multi core architectures, such as communication overhead, latency, and scalability limitations, are addressed through the incorporation of Network-on-Chip (NoC) architectures and adaptive signal processing techniques. By using a multi-core digital signal processing (DSP) platform, the study evaluates the performance improvements achieved by this integration under varying workloads and core configurations. The experimental results show a 35% improvement in throughput and a 25% reduction in communication latency, highlighting the effectiveness of adaptive communication protocols in managing data traffic between cores and reducing bottlenecks. The integration of NoC architecture facilitates parallel data transfers, while adaptive signal processing engines ensure that data flows more efficiently across the cores, enhancing system responsiveness, especially under high data rate conditions. Furthermore, the study explores the scalability of the proposed system, demonstrating its ability to maintain high performance as core counts increase. The findings emphasize the potential of combining advanced communication protocols with adaptive signal processing for optimizing multi-core system performance. Practical implications of this research include the design of scalable, flexible, and efficient multi core architectures suitable for complex, data-intensive applications. Future research should focus on further refining communication protocols and exploring additional integration strategies to enhance the adaptability and scalability of multi-core systems in next-generation computing environments.
