Abstract

Human physical abilities are divided into anaerobic and aerobic abilities, where aerobic endurance (cardiovascular fitness) involves the process of oxygen uptake, transport and utilisation. Coffee consumption before exercise can improve performance and prevent fatigue, especially if caffeine is consumed one hour before exercise, which can improve running performance. The aim of this study was to examine the effectiveness of caffeinated drinks and energy gels before high-intensity exercise over a long period of time. This study used a pretest-posttest method with participants of 30 students from extracurricular futsal at MAN Lumajang, divided into two groups: E1 (caffeinated drink) and E2 (energy gel), 15 students each. Measurements used the Balke test and data were analysed using the Mann Whitney test in SPSS. The results of hypothesis analysis using the Mann-Whitney test showed a significant difference between variables E1 (caffeinated drink) and E2 (energy gel) with a significance value of p = 0.011, indicating a significant difference between the two groups. The conclusion of this study is that caffeinated drinks and energy gel provide different impacts in improving aerobic endurance performance.

Abstract

Remember sleep quality has a big impact on an athlete's best performance, this study aims to find out the relationship between sleep quality and peak performance, and how much sleep quality contributes to peak performance. To achieve peak performance, an athlete must be in optimum condition during training and matches. This research uses a quantitative descriptive research type with a correlational approach. Quantitative research collects and analyzes data using numbers and measurements. The researcher used purposive sampling, where the sample consists of 30 athletes from Ronggolawe Athletics Club in Tuban. The tools used in this study are the sleep quality scale and the peak performance scale, both administered through questionnaires. The data analysis method used is the product moment correlation test. The results of the data analysis showed a correlation coefficient of -0.423 (r = -0.423). Based on the analysis of the coefficient of determination, it was found that the sleep quality variable contributes effectively to the peak performance variable by 17.9%, while the remaining 82.1% comes from other factors not studied in this research.

Abstract

This research was conducted to look at team components starting from the strengths and weaknesses of the team so that it can be used as evaluation material to make better improvements to the team to face the next match. This research also aims to confirm the findings of video analysis in the final match of the East Java Floorball men's team at the 2024 Aceh-Sumut PON XXI exhibition. This research methodology uses quantitative descriptive, which uses match video analysis data to paint a picture or reveal information about the facts. facts about the final field for the men's floorball team in East Java. The sample from this research was the East Java Floorball men's team who were the core players or who only played in the final round. The researcher's data sheet on video match analysis served as a tool. The quantitative descriptive data analysis method was applied using figures obtained from video study findings and evaluation results. From the results of video analysis of the final match of the East Java Floorball men's team, when compared with other strategies, it was found that the tactics of passing and controlling the ball gave the best results. Players gain an advantage when the opposing team has the ball as a result of frequently using this method and developing their game. The East Java Floorball men's team has better ball control than its opponents because their passing technique and ball control are superior.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kepuasan layanan sport massage bagi pelanggan sport recovery di ShareFit Surabaya, dengan menggunakan jenis deskriptif dan pendekatan kuantitatif. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan metode survei, instrumen berupa angket melalui wawancara dan google form sebanyak 31 butir pernyataan mencakup tentang lima dimensi kualitas layanan (Tangible, Reliability, Responsiveness, Assurance, dan Emphaty). Teknik sampling menggunakan total sampling dengan sasaran penelitian ini seluruh pelanggan sport massage ShareFit Surabaya yang berjumlah 55 orang. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis data deskripsi kuantitatif dengan bentuk presentase. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan kepuasan layanan sport massage bagi pelanggan sport recovery di ShareFit Surabaya masuk dalam kategori “puas”. Penjelasan lebih detail hasil penelitian pada masing-masing dimensi, dimensi Tangible 54,56% kategori “puas”, dimensi Reliability 47,29% kategori “puas” dimensi Responsiveness 41,83% kategori “sangat puas, dimensi Assurance 38,20% kategori “puas”, dimensi Emphaty 34,54% kategori “puas dan tidak puas seimbang”. Dengan hasil ini kualitas layanan di sport massage ShareFit Surabaya tergolong baik, akan tetapi pihak manajemen ShareFit Surabaya harus senantiasa mempertahankan dan meningkatkan kualitas pelayanannya agar dapat selalu memenuhi kepuasan para pelanggan. Abstract

Bola tangan adalah olahraga yang dimainkan dengan satu atau dua tangan, melibatkan dua regu yang berusaha memasukkan bola ke gawang lawan yang dijaga oleh beberapa pemain bertahan dan seorang penjaga gawang. Setiap tim terdiri dari 7 pemain, dengan 6 pemain menyerang dan bertahan, serta 1 penjaga gawang. Pertandingan biasanya dilakukan di dalam ruangan dengan lapangan berukuran 40 x 20 meter, dilengkapi dengan dua gawang berukuran tiga meter tinggi dan dua meter lebar. Dalam permainan bola tangan, setiap atlet diharapkan menguasai berbagai teknik dasar sebagai faktor penentu keberhasilan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian non-eksperimental dengan metode deskriptif kuantitatif, bertujuan untuk memperjelas hasil penelitian. Pengumpulan sampel menggunakan teknik purposive dengan 4 pertandingan dan menganalisis taktik serangan pada 5 taktik yang di buat oleh pelatih tim bola tangan Jawa Timur. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui dokumentasi video dengan menganalisis format atau formulir penelitian yang berisi tabel untuk setiap keberhasilan dan kegagalan sistem. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan keberhasilan dan kegagalan tim dalam menggunakan taktik offense, dengan Jawa Timur vs Kalimantan Barat memiliki keberhasilan 59,42% dan kegagalan 40,58%, Jawa Timur vs Kepulauan Riau keberhasilan 73,58% dan kegagalan 26,42%, Jawa Timur vs Kalimantan Utara keberhasilan 54,72% dan kegagalan 45,28%, serta Jawa Timur vs DKI Jakarta keberhasilan 48,72% dan kegagalan 51,28%. Analisis menggunakan rumus r= ∑x X 100% untuk menghitung rata-rata keberhasilan dan kegagalan dari jumlah sistem yang berhasil dan gagal dalam setiap pertandingan.

Abstract

Aging is associated with cognitive decline that affects memory, attention, and executive function, prompting interest in interventions such as Brain Gym and body gymnastics. This study employed a quantitative quasi-experimental design involving elderly participants aged 60 years and above to examine the effects of these exercises on cognitive performance using standardized assessments, including the MMSE and task-specific cognitive tests. Interventions were delivered for 20–30 minutes, three times per week, and data were analyzed using paired and independent t-tests or ANCOVA. The findings, supported by recent literature, suggest that both Brain Gym and body gymnastics may contribute to improvements in cognitive function by enhancing neural coordination and promoting better cerebral blood flow; however, considerable heterogeneity in intervention types, durations, outcomes, and study quality limits the strength of these conclusions. The evidence should therefore be interpreted cautiously, and further high-quality randomized controlled trials are needed to verify these effects. Limitations include incomplete statistical reporting in previous studies, potential publication bias, language restrictions, methodological variability, and small sample sizes across the included literature.
