Abstract

Abstract : Doping is a substance or prohibited substances and methods to increase performance in sports that are not associated with a medical indication. Drug doping is a group that included stimulant, narcotic analgesics, anabolic steroid group, class betabloker, class of diuretics, and peptide groups hormons and analogues. Selection of amphetamines (stimulants) based on the number of athletes who abuse these types of drugs, especially in the branch of cycling. Amphetamines are substances that stimulate the central nervous system works. The use of amphetamines often consumed cyclist can cause effects such as increased alertness, reduce drowsiness, reduced fatigue, and increased motor activity (physical performance).   Key words : doping, amphetamines, cyclist.

Abstract

Futsal is a sport with a team system which is very popular among Indonesian people, especially men. This can be seen from the many futsal competitions from early childhood, student, student, general and amateur to professional levels. Futsal competitions at student level involve teams from schools to show their best game. There are many factors that can influence a player's performance on the field, one of which is self-confidence. Self-confidence is a person's belief in their own ability to achieve goals or face challenges. The level of self-confidence is influenced by internal and external factors. It is not possible for a person to immediately gain high self-confidence, but it is necessary to practice and increase the number of hours of competition to increase a person's maximum level of self-confidence. This research was motivated by researchers who wanted to know the level of self-confidence of futsal extracurricular members at SMAN 4 Madiun. The results of this research obtained a mean of 78.96, a median value of 78, a mode value of 75 and a standard deviation value of 11.197. Also obtained was a minimum score of 59 and a maximum score of 104. So it can be concluded that the futsal extracurricular members of SMAN 4 Madiun have a level of self-confidence in the "High" category. With these results, the futsal extracurricular members of SMAN 4 Madiun were declared able to display their best performance in the match without hesitation and full of confidence.

Abstract

Running while listening to music is thought to be able to increase a person's average speed when running through the mood when listening to music. The aim of this research is to determine the difference between different musical rhythms on mood and average speed when running. The method in this research uses a pre-test and post-test to determine the mood of the sample being tested when running while listening to different music rhythms, while the post-test test is to determine the difference in the average speed of the sample when the test was carried out. The sample used in this research was class X high school students with an average age of 16 years. The measuring tools used in this research are the profile of mood states questionnaire to determine the difference in mood before and after treatment, and the Strava application to determine the difference in average sample speed when the test was carried out. The results of this study show that slow rhythmic music has more influence on a person's mood when running than moderate and fast rhythmic music. This is proven by the results of the questionnaire after the test was carried out that slow music has an average of 168, greater than moderate music with an average of 154 and fast music with an average of 34. Meanwhile, in terms of speed average, each different musical rhythm has difference to a person's average running speed. This is proven by the average test results (pace) with the Strava application, slow music has an average of 11 km/m, medium music 10 km/m and fast music 8 km/m. The conclusion obtained from this research is that slow music rhythms have more influence than medium and fast music rhythms on mood when running and different music rhythms make a person's average speed different when running depending on the rhythm of the music they listen to.

Abstract

Human physical abilities are divided into anaerobic and aerobic abilities, where aerobic endurance (cardiovascular fitness) involves the process of oxygen uptake, transport and utilisation. Coffee consumption before exercise can improve performance and prevent fatigue, especially if caffeine is consumed one hour before exercise, which can improve running performance. The aim of this study was to examine the effectiveness of caffeinated drinks and energy gels before high-intensity exercise over a long period of time. This study used a pretest-posttest method with participants of 30 students from extracurricular futsal at MAN Lumajang, divided into two groups: E1 (caffeinated drink) and E2 (energy gel), 15 students each. Measurements used the Balke test and data were analysed using the Mann Whitney test in SPSS. The results of hypothesis analysis using the Mann-Whitney test showed a significant difference between variables E1 (caffeinated drink) and E2 (energy gel) with a significance value of p = 0.011, indicating a significant difference between the two groups. The conclusion of this study is that caffeinated drinks and energy gel provide different impacts in improving aerobic endurance performance.

Abstract

The pulse rate gradually increases depending on the intensity of the activity performed and can potentially cause fatigue. Walking recovery and PNF (Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation) can lower the pulse rate and prevent fatigue. The research aims to prove the effects and differences resulting from walking recovery and PNF. The study uses a pretest and posttest design with impact and difference tests. Ten samples were selected purposively and underwent two recovery interventions. A 1600-meter run protocol was used to increase the pulse rate. The results showed that walking recovery could reduce the pulse rate by up to 15.49%, while passive recovery reached 29.35%. Each recovery method significantly reduced the pulse rate (p < 0.05), but there was no significant difference between the two recovery methods (p > 0.05).

Abstract

Hypertension is a non-communicable disease that many people need to pay attention to, especially the elderly, therefore it requires more comprehensive and integrated treatment over a long period of time. Uncontrolled hypertension results in a 7 times chance of suffering a stroke, a 6 times chance of suffering from coronary heart disease and a 3 times chance of suffering a heart attack. Based on this description, researchers are interested in conducting research on the effect of walking activity on blood pressure in elderly hypertensive sufferers at UPT Mojokerto. The aim of this study was to determine the effect of walking activity on blood pressure in elderly hypertensive sufferers at UPT Mojokerto. This type of research method is experimental. With a Pre-Experimental research design, and using a One Group Pretest-Posttest research design. From a population of 46 elderly people at UPT Pesanggrahan Mojokerto, a sample of 10 elderly people was taken. Determining the number of samples using purposive sampling. The instrument used is a sphygmomanometer. Implement a 30 minute walking activity exercise program for 2 weeks at a frequency of 3 times per week. The data analysis techniques used are descriptive tests, normality tests using Shapiro-Wilk and hypothesis testing using paired tests in the SPSS statistical version 23 application. The results of the descriptive test research showed that the average difference between pretest and posttest diastolic blood pressure was (4.00 mmHg) and the average difference between pretest and posttest systolic blood pressure (6.00 mmHg). And from the hypothesis test, the t-count significance value = 0.004 with a significance level of α = 0.05. Because the p-value is <0.05, there is an influence of walking activity on reducing the blood pressure of hypertension in the elderly at UPT Pesanggrahan Mojokerto.

Abstract

Futsal is a sport that is carried out with high intensity and involves movements that give rise to eccentric contractions, causing stiffness and increased pain in the muscles or called DOMS. This causes SMKN 1 Driyorejo futsal players to experience complaints of muscle pain and limited joint mobility due to DOMS. Efforts are needed to overcome these complaints, one of which is with Sport Massage. This study aims to determine the effect of Sport Massage treatment on the recovery of Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness after physical activity in futsal players of SMKN 1 Driyorejo team. The types of exercises performed in this study as DOMS inducers include squat jump, high knee, jump lunges, and single leg lateral jump. The pretest data collection time was carried out 2 days after the sample performed the exercise. Sport Massage was performed on day 3 on the lower extremities by observing the research SOP that has been given including the frequency of treatment 1 time and manipulation in the form of effleurage, petrissage, walken, and shaking with a massage duration of 20 minutes per sample. Posttest data will be taken the next day after the sample is given a Sport Massage.This research is quantitative with pre-experimental method and one group pretest-posttest design with a sample of 23 futsal players of SMKN 1 Driyorejo team. Based on the analysis of the statistical description of the initial data (pretest) obtained an average of 7.17 with a minimum value of 5 and a maximum value of 9 and a standard deviation of 0.984. While the final data (posttest) obtained an average of 2.26 with a minimum value of 0 and a maximum value of 4 and a standard deviation of 1.010. To determine whether there is a significant effect of Sport Massage treatment on DOMS recovery, a hypothesis test is conducted using Independent Sample T-Test. The test criteria are if the significance value (2-tailed) < 0.05 then H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted, while if the significance value (2-tailed) > 0.05 then H0 is accepted and Ha is rejected. The results of testing the hypothesis of this study obtained a mean value of 4.913 with a standard error of 0.294 and a significance value (2-tailed) of 0.000 <0.05, thus H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted so it is concluded that there is a significant effect of pretest and posttest data on the treatment of Sport Massage on the recovery of Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness after physical activity in futsal players of the SMKN 1 Driyorejo team.

Abstract

Latar Belakang: Lanjut usia mengalami penurunan rentang gerak sendi lutut, fenomena ini memiliki dampak terhadap kehidupan sehari hari. Mayoritas lansia adalah wanita, Tulang demineralisasi pada tubuh wanita membuat sulit mempertahankan postur tubuh yang benar dan meningkatkan kemungkinan terjatuh. Teknik manipulasi sport massage dapat mengatur fungsi berbagai organ tubuh menyesuaikan aktivitas fisik. Penelitian ini bertujuan Untuk mengetahui Adakah Pengaruh Terapi Sport massage Terhadap Rentang Gerak Sendi Lutut Pada Lansia Wanita Usia 60-70 Tahun. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode Quasi ExperimentalSemu dengan desain penelitian one group pre-test post-test dengan kelompok kontrol dan perlakuan. sebanyak 20 partisipan lansia yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi yang dipilih dan dibagi menjadi 2 kelompok: kelompok perlakuan yang menerima sport massage berdurasi 20 menit dan kelompok kontrol tidak menerima sport massage. Pengukuran dilakukan dengan menggunakan alat goniometer. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan uji paired t test. Hasil penelitian kelompok kontrol selisih mean 0.400 dari lutut kiri dan 0.500 dari lutut kanan. Sedangkan, kelompok perlakuan selisih mean 2.100 dari lutut kiri dan 2.200 dari lutut kanan. Temuan ini menunjukan bahwa sport massage dapat menjadi pilihan effektif dalam pengaruhnya rentang gerak sendi lutut bagi lansia. Simpulan ada pengaruh terapi sport massage terhadap rentang gerak sendi lutut pada lansia wanita usia 60 – 70 tahun di ketabang Surabaya.

Abstract

The use of social media today is not only among adults, in fact many children under 17 years old already have social media. Unfortunately, social media has many negative effects on children's lifestyles, if the child does not receive regular parenting from their parents regarding the use of social media. The aim of this research is to find out how the use of gadgets affects the physical fitness level of grade 8 male students at SMPN 1 Sukodono. The research method used is descriptive quantitative to analyze data by describing or illustrating the data. From the use of gadgets by 40 students, the results were 13% in the low category, 30% in the medium category, 38% in the high category, and 20% in the very high category. Meanwhile, the physical fitness results for grade 8 male students at SMPN 1 Sukodono were in the medium category with a score of 37,3. The results of the research on the intensity of gadget use of grade 8 male students at SMPN 1 Sukodono are in the high category with a percentage value of 38% and conversely, the physical fitness level of grade 8 male students at SMPN 1 Sukodono is dominant in the medium category with a VO²Max of 37.3.

Abstract

Kondisi fisik adalah suatu keadaan atau kemampuan fisik untuk melakukan aktivitas fisik. Permainan bolavoli sangat memerlukan pengecekan kondisi fisik karena melibatkan banyak koordinasi gerak seperti servis, passing, mapun smash. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kondisi fisik atlet bolavoli Sidoarjo Jaya usia 10-12 tahun. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif dengan desain cross sectional dimana dilakukan dalam satu waktu yang bertempat di GOR serba guna Sidoarjo. Sampel yang terlibat dalam penelitian berjumlah 20 anak dari 62 populasi anak. 20 anak tersebut terdiri dari 12 anak laki-laki dan 8 anak perempuan. Dengan pengambilan data menggunakan tes dan pengukuran meliputi: tes kecepatan (sprint 30 meter), tes kelincahan (t-test), tes kekuatan (push up dan sit up), tes tinggi lompatan (vertical jump), tes daya tahan kardiovaskular (MFT), dan tes antropometri (tinggi badan, berat badan, panjang lengan, dan panjang tungkai). Dengan hasil dimana atlet bolavoli Sidoarjo Jaya memiliki nilai sebagai berikut: 1) kecepatan putra (5.73 detik) putri (6 detik), 2) kelincahan putra (13,6 detik) putri (14.18 detik), 3) push up putra (20 kali) putri (21 kali), 4) sit up putra (20 kali) putri (17 kali), 5) vertical jump putra (29 cm) putri (29 cm), 6) MFT (Multi Fitness Test) putra (level 3 balikan 4 – level 5 balikan 1) putri (level 3 balikan 4 – level 5 balikan 1). Simpulan yang didapat bahwa atlet bolavoli di club Sidoarjo Jaya usia 10-12 tahun kondisi fisik yang didapat kategori “kurang”, sehingga perlu adanya pengembangan latihan kondisi fisik terutama pada kelincahan, kekuatan, vertical jump, dan daya tahan kardiovaskular.
