Abstract

This study aims to describe the mathematical solving of grade 3 elementary school fractions as a form of education. Education is the acquisition of knowledge, skills, and habits by a group of people, which are transmitted from one generation to the next through teaching, training or research. The research method used in this article is a descriptive research method with a qualitative approach. Sources of data come from scores of written test results and problem-solving abilities, documents, and interviews. The research instrument used was test questions to obtain data on students' mathematical problem-solving abilities. Data collection techniques carried out by researchers were written tests, documentation, and interviews. Based on the results of the study it was concluded that the results of this analysis can be a reference for teachers and schools to identify areas of student weakness and design appropriate learning strategies to improve their mathematical problem-solving abilities.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to determine the usefulness and effectiveness of real rubber band games for students in learning realistic mathematics with number material which is carried out on students in class 1 of elementary school or phase A at SD NEGERI 3 SIDIGEDE WELAHAN JEPARA, totaling 15 students so that they can learn mathematics. fun for students. The method used in the research is a qualitative descriptive method using observation and interviews as well as photo and video documentation techniques. The results of the research show that the use of rubber band games can be an effective method in helping grade 1 students to understand mathematical concepts, especially numbers and understanding addition and subtraction, in a fun and interactive way. The findings of the study indicate that the incorporation of rubber band games proves to be a highly effective educational approach for first-grade students. The games contribute significantly to the students' comprehension of mathematical concepts, with a specific emphasis on numbers, as well as fostering a deeper understanding of addition and subtraction operations. The interactive and enjoyable nature of the games ensures an engaging learning experience, demonstrating the potential of real rubber band games as a valuable method in elementary mathematics education.

Abstract

The Sundanese are deeply immersed in Islam, as exemplified by the adage, “to be Sunda is to be Muslim”. An important initiative within this cultural-religious context is the translation of the Quran into low vernacular Sundanese, departing from the formal and codified language forms of the original. Despite concerns about potential textual transgression, this translation negotiates linguistic barriers and reinforces cultural identity within the Islamic framework. This paper examines the contemporary Sundanese translation of the Quran, Ayat Suci Lenyepaneun (1989), and argues that its use of low colloquial Sundanese not only enhances the Quran’s legibility but also establishes an immediate connection between readers and their faith.
