Abstract

This study aims to analyze the personal values and educational values contained in the children's story "The Buncir" by Asep Rahmat Hidayat. The story "Si Buncir" is a fairytale genre that has many moral messages for readers and as an alternative learning in conveying messages to elementary students. The research method used is a qualitative descriptive approach. The research data is the story script "The Buncir". Data collection techniques were carried out using literature study techniques, while data analysis techniques used content analysis with the results described in a narrative manner. Based on the results of the study it was found that, First, personal values include emotional development, intellectual development, imagination development, social sense growth, and ethical and religious sense growth. Second, educational values include religious values, honesty, discipline, independence, curiosity, democracy, responsibility. Thus, this children's story book provides messages and moral lessons about character that can be emulated by children, especially elementary school children, both in terms of developing personal values and character education values.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis nilai-nilai personal  dan nilai pendidikan yang terkandung dalam cerita anak “Si Buncir” Karya Asep Rahmat Hidayat. Cerita “Si Buncir” bergenre dogeng yang memiliki banyak pesan moral untuk para pembaca dan sebagai alternatif pembelajaran dalam menyampaikan pesan pada siswa SD. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Data penelitian ini adalah naskah cerita “Si Buncir”. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik studi pustaka, sedangkan teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis isi dengan hasilnya dijabarkan secara naratif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ditemukan bahwa, Pertama, nilai personal mencakup perkembangan emosional, perkembangan intelektual, perkembangan imajinasi, pertumbuhan rasa  sosial, dan pertumbuhan rasa etis dan religius. Kedua, nilai pendidikan mencakup nilai religius, kejujuran, disiplin, mandiri, rasa ingin tahu, demokratis, tanggung jawab. Dengan demikian, buku cerita anak ini memberikan pesan dan pelajaran moral tentang karakter yang dapat diteladani oleh anak-anak khususnya anak sekolah dasar, baik dalam hal pengembangan nilai personal maupun nilai pendidikan karakter.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the mathematical solving of grade 3 elementary school fractions as a form of education. Education is the acquisition of knowledge, skills, and habits by a group of people, which are transmitted from one generation to the next through teaching, training or research. The research method used in this article is a descriptive research method with a qualitative approach. Sources of data come from scores of written test results and problem-solving abilities, documents, and interviews. The research instrument used was test questions to obtain data on students' mathematical problem-solving abilities. Data collection techniques carried out by researchers were written tests, documentation, and interviews. Based on the results of the study it was concluded that the results of this analysis can be a reference for teachers and schools to identify areas of student weakness and design appropriate learning strategies to improve their mathematical problem-solving abilities.
