Abstract

Communication with ODGJ is still a challenge for the soul cadres at the Bani Amrini Panti Jiwa located in Batangan Village, Tanah Merah District, Bangkalan Regency, East Java Province. This community service aims to improve the knowledge and skills of mental cadres in effective communication with People with Mental Disorders (ODGJ). Based on information from one of the soul cadres and observations by the abdimas team, so far the Bani Amrini Panti Jiwa uses a psycho-religious approach in communicating. The method in this activity is in the form of counseling involving soul cadres, village officials and the surrounding community as participants. This outreach activity was carried out face-to-face, at the Batangan Village Hall. Carrying out the concept of counseling followed by discussion sessions as well as sharing and hearings. Where participants are free to ask anything about ODGJ and Therapeutic Communication to the presenters. That way, two-way communication will appear between the presenter and the participants which shows the effectiveness of communication. The results of the activity showed that participants experienced an increase in understanding of therapeutic communication as evidenced by the activeness of participants who responded well to questions from the presenters. There was an increase in 2 days after the event based on observations made by the team at the Bani Amrini Panti Jiwa. Where the cadres become better at communicating. Such as conveying invitations, asking questions, and giving directions. Abstrak Komunikasi dengan ODGJ masih menjadi tantangan bagi kader jiwa di Panti Jiwa Bani Amrini yang berlokasi di Desa Batangan, Kecamatan Tanah Merah, Kabupaten Bangkalan, Provinsi Jawa Timur. Pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan kader jiwa dalam melakukan komunikasi yang efektif kepada Orang Dengan Gangguan Jiwa (ODGJ). Berdasarkan keterangan dari salah satu kader jiwa dan pengamatan oleh tim abdimas, selama ini Panti Jiwa Bani Amrini menggunakan pendekatan psiko-religius dalam berkomunikasi. Metode dalam kegiatan ini berupa penyuluhan yang melibatkan kader jiwa, perangkat desa dan masyarakat sekitar sebagai peserta. Kegiatan penyuluhan ini dilakukan secara tatap muka, bertempat di Balai Desa Batangan. Mengusung konsep penyuluhan diikuti dengan sesi diskusi sekaligus sharing and hearing. Dimana peserta dibebaskan bertanya apapun mengenai ODGJ dan Komunikasi Terapeutik terhadap pemateri. Dengan begitu, akan muncul komunikasi dua arah antara pemateri dengan peserta yang menunjukkan efektivitas komunikasi. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peserta mengalami peningkatan pemahaman mengenai komunikasi terapeutik dibuktikan dengan keaktifan peserta yang menanggapi pertanyaan dari pemateri dengan baik. Terjadi peningkatan di 2 hari pasca acara berdasarkan pengamatan yang tim lakukan di Panti Jiwa Bani Amrini. Dimana para kader menjadi lebih baik dalam berkomunikasi. Seperti menyampaikan ajakan, mengajukan pertanyaan, dan memberikan arahan.

Abstract

Pada tahun 2020 terdapat kasus kekerasan seksual yang dilakukan pada 25 anak laki-laki di sebuah pesantren di Sidoarjo yang dilakukan oleh Ustaz di pesantren tersebut sejak tahun 2016. UPTD PPA Sidoarjo sebagai badan yang dibentuk Pemerintah Kabupaten Sidoarjo yang bertugas dalam pendampingan perempuan dan anak korban kekerasan seksual di Kabupaten Sidoarjo memiliki peranan besar dalam pendampingan pemulihan trauma yang dialami korban. Salah satu upaya yang digunakan konselor UPTD PPA Sidoarjo dalam proses pendampingan korban adalah komunikasi terapeutik, yang berperan penting dalam penyembuhan korban. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tahapan, teknik dan hambatan komunikasi terapeutik yang dilakukan oleh koselor dalam proses pendampingan anak laki-laki korban kekerasan seksual. Jenis penelitian menggunakan penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Menggunakan teori interaksi simbolik dan teori self disclosure. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Informan dipilih dengan menggunakan metode purposive sampling. Teknik analisis data menggunakan teknik analisis data studi kasus Creswell. Teknik keabsahan data menggunakan triangulasi sumber, teori, dan metode. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat empat tahapan dalam proses komunikasi terapeutik konselor yakni tahap persiapan, perkenalan, pendampingan, dan akhir pendampingan. Teknik komunikasi terapeutik yang dilakukan oleh konselor terdiri dari teknik verbal, teknik nonverbal, dan teknik hiburan atau relaksasi. Pada proses pendampingan, hambatan yang sering ditemui oleh konselor adalah hambatan usia dan pemahaman, hambatan keluarga dan hubungan antara klien dengan pelaku.

Abstract

The music video for Man Upon The Hill by Stars and Rabbit can steal attention because it is able to present unique and interesting visuals. The purpose of this study was to determine the representation of the meaning of surrealism in the video clip Man Upon The Hill by Stars and rabbit. This research uses descriptive qualitative research methods. Data collection using the method of observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Informants were selected using purposive sampling technique. The technique of checking the validity of the research data used the source triangulation technique. The result of this research is the relationship between humans and nature, representations of several scenes: First, symbols such as the pentagram have the meaning of a dimension of life. Second, the Third Eye Chakra is the highest consciousness. Third, the arrangement of roots to form a gate represents a gate to a different dimension. Fourth, the tree root guitar represents how nature communicates, the melody that sounds from nature. Fifth, the arrangement of floating stones in a circle is the cycle of life. Sixth, black skin is a representation of the balance of the life cycle. Seventh, women with horses represent warriors, children represent purity.

Abstract

The Bani Amrini is one of the psychiatric home cares in Bangkalan Regency. In its operational activities as a rehabilitation location for patients with mental disorder (ODGJ), this psychiatric home care only uses religious therapy methods (psychoreligious). Even though there are also other methods that can also be used, such as handycraft therapy for ODGJ. The ignorance of the caretakers of the psychiatric home care about handycraft therapy made the Trunojoyo Madura University Community Service Team move to help provide training on making simple handicrafts for ODGJ at the Bani Amrini Mental Institution. The training was carried out with the practical method. This training has proven to be an alternative solution to filling in the free time of ODGJ so that cognitively, affectively and psychomotorically function properly and do not often daydream which causes relapses.

Abstract

People with mental disorders often face health challenges and are at risk of social isolation, highlighting the importance of appropriate treatment to enhance their quality of life. The objective of this initiative is to improve the quality of life and foster independence among patients with mental disorders (ODGJ) through psychotherapy in the form of handicraft activities. The program is conducted collaboratively by the community service team and the Omben Sampang Community Health Center team. It involves providing hands-on training and direct guidance to ODGJ patients in creating tote bag paintings and shibori batik. As a result of this activity, ODGJ patients exhibit positive developments in both their quality of life and their ability to engage in daily activities independently. These outcomes serve as a foundation for the development of effective treatment programs for individuals with mental disorders.

Abstract

Television is one of the mass media that is widely used by Indonesian people as a medium of information, education, and even entertainment. But not infrequently this television show affects the perception and attitude of the audience. The purpose of this study was to determine whether there was an effect of exposure to the FTV show "Suara Hati Istri" in Indosiar on the marriage anxiety of pre-wedding women in Srikandang village, Bangsri district, Jepara district and to find out how much influence exposure to the FTV show "Suara Hati Istri" in Indosiar had on marriage anxiety of pre-wedding women in Srikandang village, Bangsri district, Jepara district. This study uses a quantitative approach with a survey method, the data collection technique carried out by the researcher is using a questionnaire distributed online to 219 respondents. To be able to know the results of the research that has been done, the data obtained were analyzed by several analytical techniques, which include reliability testing, validity testing, bivariate correlation analysis, simple linear regression analysis, and coefficient of determination test. The results of this study indicate that there is a significant influence between the variable exposure to the FTV show "Suara Hati Istri" in Indosiar on the marriage anxiety variable of pre-wedding women in Srikandang village, which is 60.4%. So that there are 39.6% of this anxiety is influenced by other factors outside the research that has been done.
