Abstract

Researcher takes particular interest to discover the respondents’ orientation towards happiness based on where the respondent was raised. The study involves 467 senior high school students with ages ranging from 14-17 years old. The data is analyzed using an adapted society psychological approach. The results shows that adolescents raised in rural areas are consider the family to be a factor that contributes to their happiness. Second, achievement is also a factor that leads to happiness. However for the category, to love and be loved, adolescents growing in urban areas place this as a factor that leads to happiness. Similar with spirituality, friends and leisure time are factors that make adolescents raised in urban areas to become happy. Nevertheless, the results of cross tabulation with Pearson chi square test scoring demonstrates that no correlations exist between adolescent happiness raised from urban or rural areas.

Abstract

Sering dijumpai para konsumen yang merasa kecewa dengan barang yang dibeli sesudah mereka sampai dirumah. Walaupun ketika melakukan proses pembelian para konsumen tersebut merasa telah melakukan beberapa pertimbangan sebelum akhirnya memutuskan membeli. Terutama dikalangan ibu-ibu yang sering terlibat dalam proses belanja sering dijumpai fenomena ini. Proses psikologis ternyata cukup banyak mewarnai proses pengambilan keputusan dalam pembelian. Salah satu diantaranya adalah rasa bersalah (guilty feeling).

Abstract

Sebagian orang pernah mengalami pengalaman dekat dengan kematian atau Near-Death Experience. Pengalaman semacam ini sering kali disebabkan oleh penyakit yang parah, kerusakan organ vital karena kecelakaan, atau keadaan seperti tidak dapat menghidari kematian. Tujuan dari penelitian adalah untuk memahami dinamika psikologis pada orang-orang yang pernah mengalami pengalaman dekat dengan kematian (NDE). Informan pada penelitian ini dipilih secara purposive sampling dengan jumlah informan 6 orang yang memenuhi kriteria penelitian yaitu pernah selamat dalam melawan penyakit yang berisiko kematian atau pernah mengalami kecelakaan parah dan divonis tidak selamat namun bisa  selamat, berusia 17 tahun keatas dan bersedia menjadi informan penelitian. Analisis Dalam penelitian menggunakan matriks, analisis deskriptif berbentuk narasi untuk menjelaskan hasil dari analisis data. Pengalaman dekat dengan kematian menyertakan perubahan secara sikap, aktivitas, dan pemikiran. Peneliti menyimpulkan bahwa pengalaman NDE diawali dengan elemen kognisi sebagai kejadian sesaat sebelum NDE seperti sering melamun, teringat pada orang tua, kemudian terdapat elemen transendental yaitu kejadian yang terjadi pada saat informan mengalami pengalaman NDE seperti bertemu dengan sesosok berjubah putih, melihat cahaya, melihat dirinya sendiri, bertemu kerabat yang telah meninggal lalu diikuti oleh elemen emosi berupa perasaan senang, bahagia, serta memiliki efek sesudah (aftereffect) ikhlas menjalani kehidupan, mampu menerima, dan berkurangnya rasa takut terhadap kematian.

Abstract

Physician decision making has an important impact on patient’s recovery and rehabilitation. A qualitative research of decision making process was conducted to explore how physicians arrive at a diagnosis decision. The informants were 11 skilled physicians who interviewed and participated in in-depth interview and observation. Data from interviews with physicians were used to construct and examine theories of decision making. The study found that decision making process would be better if supported by self-sensitivity, clear information, good standard operation procedure, alternatives availability of choices, adequate emotions, meaningful experiences, and good team-work. This study also found that algorithmic model encouraged the decision maker to think systematically and follow a logical sequence through decision making process. Bayesian model that based on probability theory had limitations on applications. The discussion suggests that second generation theories of behavioral decision can be chosen. Abstract

A multisensory model was implemented to improve the stimulation and development of early literacy skill. This implementation was conducted on 56 mothers and their children aged 3-5 years old, by giving them literacy media and assistance to the mothers. The assistance was carried out by 21 literacy ambassadors. Each literacy ambassador helped 2-3 mothers. Mixed-Method Action Research (MMAR) was conducted to implement the multisensory model and evaluate its contribution. Quantitative data were collected by scales, while qualitative data were collected by observation, interviews, and questionnaires. Quantitative data analysis was done with Paired Sample T-Test, and qualitative data analysis was conducted with content analysis. Once the multisensory model was applied, the stimulation of children's literacy shifted from a textual way to a contextual way. Multisensory models contributed to creating a storybook reading routine and playing hand puppets, letter cards, and activity books. This contribution was very important because it significantly increased literacy activity and developed children’s literacy skill.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara e? kasi diri dan dukungan sosial dengan prestasi akademik mahasiswa, peran e? kasi diri terhadap prestasi akademik serta peran dukungan sosial terhadap prestasi akademik. Subjek penelitian sebanyak 86 orang, diambil dari populasi mahasiswa fakultas psikologi Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta. Alat ukur yang digunakan adalah skala e? kasi diri dari Elias (2008), Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support yang dirumuskan oleh Zimet, Dahlem, Zimet & Farley (1988) dan dokumentasi nilai in- deks prestasi. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisa regresi dua predictor. Hasil analisis menunjukkan adanya hubungan antara e? kasi diri dan dukungan social dengan prestasi akademik dengan nilai koe? sien korelasi (R) sebesar 0,310; p = 0,015 (p < 0,05) dan sumbangan efektif sebesar 9,6%. Peran e? kasi diri terhadap prestasi akademik sebesar 7,3% dengan dominasi aspek tingkatan dan kekuatan, sementara aspek keluasan tidak memberikan kontribusi signi? kan. Peran dukungan sosial terhadap prestasi akademik sebesar 7,1% dengan dominasi faktor dukungan teman dan dukungan keluarga, sementara dukungan orang lain yang dianggap penting tidak menunjukkan kontribusi yang signi?kan.

Abstract

Remaja merupakan masa dimana konsep diri dikembangkan. Konsep diri dipengaruhi oleh pengalaman dan lingkungan sosial dimana individu tinggal, termasuk kebudayaan dan agama yang dianut oleh keluarga. Tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui peran dukungan keluarga dan mendeskripsikan bentuk-bentuk dukungan keluarga dalam pembentukan konsep diri remaja dengan latar belakang keluarga Jawa yang beragama Islam. Teknik sampling menggunakan purposive sampling sejumlah 80 siswa. Karakteristik sampel yaitu berusia 10-14 tahun atau setingkat dengan pendidikan SMP, memiliki orang tua lengkap, beragama Islam dan orang asli Jawa yang tinggal di Surakarta. Alat pengumpul data yang digunakan adalah kuesioner terbuka dan wawancara sebagai data pendukung. Analisa data menggunakan teknik deskriptif. Disimpulkan bahwa remaja dengan konsep diri yang baik memiliki keluarga dengan komunikasi yang baik, terbuka dan kedekatan hubungan antar semua anggota keluarga, selain itu orang tua senantiasa memberikan dukungan baik secara moril maupun materiil, dalam bentuk perhatian, motivasi dan nasehat. Selain itu ajaran agama islam dan nilai Jawa yang baik juga diajarkan untuk mendukung berkembang konsep diri yang baik pada remaja.Kata kunci : Remaja, konsep diri dan dukungan keluargaAdolescence is a period which the self-concept developed. The self-concept is influenced by experiences and environmenal backgroud  where people live, include the culture and the religion professed by the family. The purpose of this research was to determine the role of family support and to describe the forms of family support in the establishment of adolescent’s self-concept is reviewed against the background of Javanese Muslim family. The sampling using purposive sampling techniques with 80 students, the characteristics of the sample are aged 10-14 years with secondary school education or equivalent, have complete parents, Muslim and native people who live in Java, Surakarta. Data collection tool used was an open questionnaire and interview. Data analysis technique is to describe the results of interpretation. It was concluded that adolescents with a good self-concept have a family with good communication, open and close relationship. Other than, the parent always give support both morally and materially, in term of attention, motivation and advice. In addition to the religious teachings of Islam and Javanese good value also taught to support the evolving concept of good self in adolescents.Key Word:  Adolescence, Self-Concept, Family Support

Abstract

This study was conducted to see the effectiveness of mindfulness training to increase resilience in people with heart disease. The heart patients involved in the study were undergoing treatment and diagnosed within the past year. Subjects were divided into experimental group (n= 2) and control group (n= 2). The research design used was a pretest-posttest control group design and was measured three times (pre-test, post-test, and follow-up for one week). The measuring instrument used to measure resilience is the Resilience Scale. Mindfulness training is an intervention that includes cognitive, affective, behavioral, moral, and interpersonal aspects. Mindfulness training has been shown to have many benefits, including reducing stress, anxiety, depression, then increasing optimism, emotion regulation, self-esteem, self-confidence, and increasing empathy. The results showed significant changes after being given Mindfulness training in the experimental group (Sig = 0.042; p < 0.05), and in the experimental group, both pretest-posttest and follow-up showed significant changes.

Abstract

This study focuses on enhancing the care and educational support for children with special needs, particularly in rural areas where their families often lack adequate support. Recognizing the vital roles of communities and governments, the research seeks to create an inclusive education and mental health service model that incorporates spirituality and community engagement. A qualitative research method was used to achieve this, involving 19 managers and caregivers of children with special needs. Through interviews, participant observations, and three focus group discussions, data were collected using the free association technique and analyzed via thematic analysis. This analysis highlighted four key themes: the development of spiritual and community-based mental health services, the application of these approaches in service delivery, the care strategies for children with special needs, and the evaluation methods and psychological interventions rooted in indigenous psychology. The goal is to establish a mental health service model for rural settings that can be adapted for broader application in other regions.
