Abstract

The development of smart mobile phone terminals, mobile learning has become an effective and efficient way for teachers to learn, so that the continuous development of teacher competency development can take place in a fun way. From the aspect of integrated science learning material, it is very clear that science learning in the 2013 curriculum is carried out on an integrated basis. Integrative science has the meaning of combining various aspects, namely the domains of attitudes, knowledge and skills. Therefore, the assessment system developed in science learning must also be able to develop four dimensions of knowledge (factual, conceptual, procedural). In this study, procedural knowledge was specifically developed using the assessment of integrated science application using mobile learning on gadgets with the android platform. The methodology developed in this study is a Research and Development spiral model as referenced by Cennamo and Kalk (2005: 6). In this spiral model, there are 5 (five) development phases, namely: (1) definition, (2) design, (3) demonstration, (4) develop, and (5) presentation (deliver). The research results that have been achieved are; (1) A model for enhancing the professional competence of teachers in the development of procedural ability tests through the design of an assessment of integrated science using mobile learning on gadgets with a proper android platform based on expert judgemnet, (2) Practicality tests of the model have been carried out based on the results of training involving junior high school teachers in the MGMP area of science teachers, Mlati District, Sleman Regency, (3) The model is effective in improving students' procedural abilities

Abstract

Artikel ini bertujuan mengkaji teori tes klasik serta aplikasi Iteman untuk menganalisis butir soal berbentuk pilihan ganda (PG) yang diperuntuk untuk guru atau mahasiswa calon guru baik bidang IPA atau Non-IPA. Metode yang digunakan dalam kajian ini adalah studi pustaka atau literatur baik buku dan jurnal baik dari dalam maupun luar negeri. Hasil kajian diperoleh konsep bahwa konsep dasar teori tes klasik menjadi landasan munculnya formula-formula penting dalam analisis butir soal yang meliputi validitas, reliabilitas, distribusi jabawan, tingkat kesukaran, dan daya pembeda. Iteman (Item and Test Analysis) merupakan aplikasi program komputer yang dapat digunakan untuk menganalisis butir soal berbentuk pilihan ganda berdasarkan pendekatan teori tes klasik. Setelah membaca artikel ini, diharapkan guru atau mahasiswa calon guru mempunyai pemahaman tentang konsep dasar teori tes klasik, validitas, reliabilitas, distribusi jawaban, tingkat kesukaran, dan daya pembeda, serta mempunyai kemampuan menggunakan aplikasi Iteman untuk analisis butir soal bentuk pilihan ganda sehingga memperoleh soal yang berkualitas yang digunakan untuk evaluasi pembelajaran.

Abstract

Telah dilakukan penelitian dengan tujuan mengetahui apa yang akan terjadi ketika spektrum garis emisi yang dipancarkan oleh tabung gas elektron atom hidrogen pada panjang gelombang tertentu dilewatkan dalam medan magnetik eksternal. Penelitian ini di analisis dengan cara nonkuantitatif yaitu membandingkan antara tanpa medan dan dengan medan magnetik eksternal. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan diperoleh hasil, yaitu spektrum emisi dari gas hidrogen yang dilewatkan pada medan magnet eksternal maka spektrum tersebut berubah intensitasnya. Semakin besar medan magnetnya semakin besar intensitas yang dipancarkannya, hal ini menunjukan bahwa   di mana  semakin besar medan magnetik yang digunakan semakin besar pula jarak perpecahan garis spectral .

Abstract

This study aims at producing an assessment instrument of the PISA model to measure students’ problem-solving skills and scientific literacy in junior high schools that are valid, practical, and having potential effects. This research employed the design of development studies. The analysis used the Item Response Theory (IRT) Rasch model based on the junior high school students' responses to the developed PISA assessment instrument on natural science subjects. The result of this study was a test set of PISA model for the material of Vibration, Wave, and Sound consisting of 40 items. The test was valid in terms of content, constructs, and language according to the expert assessment, and practical based on small group trials. It also had a potential effect based on the students’ answers and questionnaires results in the field test. The qualitative analysis showed that the developed test had several potential effects, i.e. the development of students' problem-solving skills and scientific literacy so that they gained a relatively high ability to solve a test with the PISA model. The results of quantitative analysis through field test trials showed that there was a significant effect from the application of the PISA model test to enhance students’ scientific literacy and problem-solving skills in the junior high school with the Sig. value of 0.000 which was less than the significance level of 0.05 (α = 5%).

Abstract

Sains sangat berkaiatan erat dengan keterampilan proses. Pergantian kurikulum di Indonesia dalam dekade terakhir telah memunculkan banyak cara untuk mengajarkan tugas maupun proyek peserta didik dalam bentuk eksperimen IPA. Kerja laboratorium sangat penting dalam pembelajaran IPA. Implemntasi kurikulum merdeka untuk pembelajaran IPA berbasis kerja laboratorium sangat ditentukan oleh pemahaman guru tentang kerja laboratorium itu sendiri. Kualitas guru dapat menentukan bagaimana pembelajaran akan berlangsung dan bagaimana tujuan pembelajaran dapat tercapai. Kegiatan yang akan dilaksanakan adalah kegiatan pelatihan yang ditujukan bagi guru- guru IPA tingkat SMP di Sleman-Yogyakarta. Kegiatan pelatihan meliputi penyampaian materi yang meliputi konsep dasar penilaian dalam kurikulum merdeka, instrumen evaluasi kerja laboratorium, dan keterampilan proses sains. Kegiatan pelatihan ini diperuntuk bagi guru-guru IPA di Sleman-Yogyakarta. Pelaksanaan kegiatan ini direncanakan di salah satu SMP di Sleman-Yogyakarta yang dikolaborasikan dengan kegiatan MGMP atau pertemuan guru IPA secara rutin, sehingga memudahkan akses bagi semua guru yang akan mengikuti pelatihan ini. Kegiatan PPM dilaksanakan dengan cara tutorial (Tatap Muka), workshop, penugasan terstruktur, dan konsultasi. Tujuan program pengabdian kepada masyarakat (PkM) ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kompetensi guru IPA SMP di Kabupaten Sleman, Yogyakarta dalam mengembangkan instrument kerja laboratorium yang bisa diterapkan dalam pembelajaran IPA sehingga mampu meningkatkan kemampuan peserta didik pada aspek keterampilan proses sains.

Abstract

Adanya PISA (The Programme for International Student Assessment ) dan AKM (Asesmen Kompetensi Minimum) mendorong terlaksananya pembelajaran dan sistem asesmen inovatif yang berorientasi pada pengembangan kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi yaitu kemampuan bernalar dan bukan berfokus pada hafalan. Kegiatan yang telah dilaksanakan adalah kegiatan pelatihan secara luring di SMPN 4 Pakem Yogyakarta dan daring dengan zoom meeting ditujukan bagi guru- guru IPA tingkat SMP di Kabupaten Sleman Yogyakarta yang diikuti secara luring 30 guru IPA dan daring 41 guru IPA. Kegiatan PPM dilaksanakan dengan model workshop, penugasan terstruktur, dan konsultasi dengan rincian sebagai berikut. Tutorial dan workshop yaitu penyampaian materi 1 adalah sistem penilaian berdasarkan kurikulum 2013 dan konsep dasar penilaian IPA model PISA dan AKM serta kemampuan literasi sains. Tugas Terstruktur yaitu penyusunan model penilaian hasil belajar siswa untuk mata pelajaran IPA berdasarkan kurikulum 2013 model AKM dan PISA untuk mengukur kemampuan literasi sains. Konsultasi tugas yaitu konsultasi dilakukan via email/HP, khususnya bagi peserta pelatihan yang mengalami kesulitan dalam menyelesaian tugas terstruktur. Hasil kegiatan ini telah dievaluasi berdasarkan masukkan dari guru IPA SMP dapat meningkatkan kemampuan kualitas penilaian peserta didik sehingga dapat menerapkan penilaian IPA model PISA untuk mengukur kemampuan literasi sains

Abstract

This training activity aims to improve the pedagogical competence and professional competence of junior high school science teachers in Bantul Regency in compiling teaching modules using the STEAM (Science Technology Engineering Art Mathematics) approach to equip PCK (Pedagogical Content Knowledge) for science teachers in Bantul Regency (MGMP) in implementing the independent curriculum. This activity was attended by 30 junior high school science teachers in Bantul Regency. Training activities were held offline on Wednesday 26 July 2023 at SMP N 1 Pleret. The preparation stage was carried out by coordinating with the Bantul Regency Middle School Science (MGMP) in determining the time and location of the training. The evaluation stage is carried out during the training process. Based on success indicators, this service program can be implemented well. Each science teacher actively participates in compiling teaching modules using a STEAM approach. The science teacher responded very well to the activity and provided suggestions for improving further training.

Abstract

This research aimed to i) create and analyze an assessment as learning on basic physics virtual practicum to measure the process and cognitive skills on online-learning, ii) analyze the implementation of the assessment as learning on basic physics virtual practicum to measure the process and cognitive skills on online-learning, and iii) analyze the effectiveness of the implementation of assessment as learning on basic physics virtual practicum to measure the process and cognitive skills on online-learning. This research used Research and Development (R and D) model with 4-D stages consisted of define, design, develop, and disseminate. The result of the research was a product of an assessment as learning, consisting of peer and self-assessment on virtual practicum of basic physic II on online learning. The product was valid based on an analysis of the Aiken formula and empirical study of the Rasch model. The result of the independent t-test sample towards the implementation of the product of assessment as learning, both peer and self-assessment was 0.160, which was higher than 0.5. The result showed that no significant differences occurred in the implementation of assessment as learning, both peer and self-assessment on the practicum of basic physics.

Abstract

Tujuan dari program pengambdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) ini adalah untuk mengembangkan kompetensi Guru IPA di Sleman dalam mengembangkan online diagnostic assessment (ODA)  mata pelajaran IPA untuk mengukur kesiapan pembelajaran siswa pada implemetasi kurikulum merdeka. Kegiatan yang akan dilaksanakan adalah kegiatan pelatihan yang ditujukan bagi guru- guru di tingkat SMP di Sleman. Kegiatan pelatihan meliputi penyampaian materi yang meliputi konsep dasar penilaian dalam kurikulum merdeka, asesmen diganosis, dan penugasan terstuktur. Pelaksanaan kegiatan ini direncanakan di salah satu SMP di Sleman yang dikolaborasikan dengan MGMP Guru IPA, sehingga memudahkan akses bagi semua guru yang akan mengikuti pelatihan ini. Kegiatan PkM dilaksanakan dengan cara tutorial (Tatap Muka), workshop, penugasan terstruktur, dan konsultasi dengan rincian. Hasil kegiatan diharapkan Guru IPA di Sleman memiliki pemahaman tentang konsep penilaian berdasarkan Kurikulum merdeka, mampu mengembangkan instrumen asesmen diagnosis berbasis online yang berorientasi kesiapan pembelajaran IPA.Selain itu, hasil Pk Mini menjadi bahan publikasi artikel ilmiah pada Jurnal Program Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat.

Abstract

This study examined the effect of a Discovery Learning model integrated with STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) on seventh-grade students’ computational thinking (CT) in the topic of heat and heat transfer. A quasi-experimental nonequivalent control group design was employed at SMP Negeri 1 Kalasan, involving two intact classes: VII B (experimental) and VII C (control). The instructional treatment embedded the Discovery Learning phases—stimulation, problem identification, data collection, data processing, verification, and generalization—within STEM activities that required students to model heat phenomena, analyze temperature–time data from simple experiments, and design testable solutions related to heat transfer and energy conversion. CT outcomes were assessed using a test aligned to core dimensions (decomposition, pattern recognition, abstraction, and algorithmic thinking), complemented by observation sheets to monitor implementation fidelity and student engagement. Data analyses indicated that the experimental class achieved significantly higher CT performance than the control class, with notable gains in decomposing heat-transfer problems, identifying patterns in empirical data, and articulating stepwise solution procedures. Observation results further revealed more active inquiry, collaboration, and iterative design behavior in the experimental group. These findings demonstrate that integrating STEM tasks into Discovery Learning effectively strengthens CT within science learning on heat and its conversion. The approach bridges conceptual understanding and procedural reasoning by engaging learners in authentic problems and guided design cycles. Practically, teachers are encouraged to incorporate structured STEM design challenges and targeted scaffolds for data interpretation and algorithmic expression. Future research should widen the sample, examine long-term retention, and explore professional development supports that sustain high-fidelity implementation.
