Abstract

AbstractThis paper compares various modulation techniques of twolevelinverter, i.e 180 conduction method, Sin-PWM (SPWM) andspace vector PWM (SVPWM). Simulation result shows that 180conduction mode is able to generate the highest voltage outputhowever it results the worse performance. Comparison offundamental component of the output voltage is 0.637 : 0.5 : 0.57p.u for 180 conduction method, SPWM and SVPWM respectively.Meanwhile comparison of voltage output THD is 31% : 68% : 30%and comparison of phase stator current THD is 50 % : 24% : 9.7%for 180 conduction method, SPWM and SVPWM respectively.Furthermore, relationship of speed - torque shows that when motoris fed by inverter using 180 conduction method, motor is able toreach the highest speed (1765 rpm) but results high torque ripplecompare to SVPWM (1685 rpm) and SPWM (1460 rpm). It is alsoshown that the SVPWM method performs the smoothest torqueripple among the three modulation methods. The results prove thatSVPWM method is the most suitable method for variable speeddrive of a three-phase induction motor.Keywords— 180 conduction method, SPWM method, SVPWM method, Total Harmonics Distortion (THD), Three-phase induction motor speed drive.

Abstract

Pada penelitian ini sebuah buck converter dirancang untuk mampu menyesuaikan tegangan keluaran terhadap kebutuhan beban secara adaptif. Hal ini karena tegangan DC yang dibutuhkan oleh beban sangat bervariasi. Buck converter yang dirancang diharap mampu untuk menghasilkan tegangan keluaran DC dengan rentang 3-20 Volt sehingga dapat melayani kebutuhan beban DC berdasarkan arus bebannya. Pengujian yang dilakukan pada buck converter yang telah dirancang bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah buck converter tersebut dapat bekerja dengan baik sesuai dengan kebutuhan charging batere pada beban bervariasi. Pengujian buck converter meliputi pengujian charging batere pada beberapa jenis beban, yaitu pengujian menggunakan beban baterai murni 3.7 Volt DC, powerbank, handphone, dan laptop. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian dan analisa yang telah dilakukan pada penelitian ini diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa buck converter mampu untuk melayani kebutuhan charging batere untuk beban yang bervariasi. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa buck converter mampu melayani charging batere untuk beban baterai murni 4400 mAh dalam waktu 7 Jam 58 Menit, beban powerbank 7800 mAh dalam waktu 7 Jam 48 Menit, beban handphone 3100 mAh dalam waktu 3 Jam 41 Menit, dan beban laptop 4400 mAh dalam waktu 3 Jam 57 Menit. Nampak bahwa buck converter yang dirancang ini mampu melayani charging batere pada beban yang bervariasi. Perbedaan lama waktu charging batere dipengaruhi oleh besarnya nilai mAh dari setiap beban. Abstract

Background: NAFLD has the potential to develop into severe diseases like NASH and cirrhosis and is often linked to obesity, although it can also occur in non-obese individuals, complicating diagnosis. SCFAs, produced by intestinal bacteria through the fermentation of dietary fibers, are essential for metabolic health and may influence liver fat and weight regulation. The purpose of this study was to explore the connection between SCFA levels and the severity of NAFLD, including liver fibrosis, in individuals both with and without obesity.Methods: A cross-sectional investigation of 16 NAFLD patients with obesity and 11 without, with stool samples analyzed for SCFA via gas chromatography. Obesity was defined by abdominal circumference. Data were analyzed using Spearman’s correlation, Eta’s correlation, and Pearson’s test.Results: Levels of SCFAs, including butyrate, propionate, and acetate, were significantly correlated in both obese and non-obese individuals diagnosed with NAFLD (r=0.618, p=0.001; p=0.019; p=0.037; p=0.012). Obesity was found to be positively associated with the severity of NAFLD (r=0.582, p=0.001). However, obesity did not exhibit a statistically significant connection with liver fibrosis (p = 0.351).Conclusion: Obese NAFLD patients exhibited decreased SCFA levels compared to non-obese individuals. Central obesity was linked to NAFLD severity but not fibrosis progression. SCFAs and obesity are crucial in the pathogenesis of NAFLD.Keywords: Central obesity, gut microbiota, NAFLD, SCFA
