The main system features are Request Usage Form (RUF), Purchase Request (PR), Purchase Request Summary (PRS), Request for Quotation (RFQ), Quotation, Winner Selection (WS), Purchase Order (PO), and Receive Report (RR). It can be concluded that the developed system can support procurement processes effectively and efficiently, and integrate the inventory and approval system. Integration with inventory system will result in easier stock checking and automated update of goods data in the inventory system. It includes creating item, editing item, and receiving made report document. Integration with approval system will also result in the simpler process of documents approval in the e-procurement system.

Abstract

Predicting the non-purchase behavior of potential customers, such as the abandonment of online shopping carts, is a pivotal factor in determining the success of companies. Despite several conducted studies, further investigation is still required to gain a profound understanding of the underlying causes of these phenomena. The research aims to analyze the motivating factors behind shopping cart abandonment among ecommerce customers in Indonesia using a quantitative method. Furthermore, the population size is undefined, and the sample consists of 200 respondents selected through purposive sampling. The sample size is determined by five times the indicator number. The data analysis is conducted using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) through SmartPLS 4.0.8.5, and the Coefficient of determination (R2) value for shopping cart abandonment is found to be 37.5%. The results show that complicated checkout, information overload, complicated policies, and limited shipping options positively impact shopping cart abandonment. Complicated checkout emerges as the most significant variable. Meanwhile, perceived cost and emotional ambivalence have no impact. The research also provides theoretical contributions and suggests future research for e-commerce companies and merchants. The theoretical contribution is how user emotions, user experience, merchant policies, and e-commerce regulation affect shopping cart abandonment. From the practical implications, e-commerce companies should focus on the user experience during checkout to reduce shopping cart abandonment.

Abstract

Recently, trucking logistics service providers are focusing on adopting technology and Information Technology (IT) capability to improve performance. Hence, it is essential to investigate how the IT capability of the firm can enhance logistics performance and impact technology adoption on performance. Therefore, the research examines the determinant factors of logistics firm performance mediated by Optilog adoption. The research design is a mixed method with an explanatory sequential design using quantitative and qualitative data analysis. Quantitative data analysis uses Structural Equation Modeling (SEM), while qualitative analysis adopts in-depth interviews. The analysis population includes 41 Optilog users in the logistics firm in East Jakarta, with the experts adopting a census sampling method. For qualitative phase, the researchers also recruit four respondents holding supervisory positions or higher using Optilog for daily operations. The results show that logistics firm performance is influenced by service excellence and Optilog adoption. Additionally, perceived risk, traceability, and IT capability positively affect Optilog adoption, which mediates the effects on logistics firm performance. The results confirm the rejection of the hypothesis that Optilog adoption mediates IT capability on logistics firm performance. The thematic analysis further concludes that the system, implemented in March 2022, does not impact logistics firm performance significantly, according to the respondents. Consequently, IT departments depend on responsiveness to address users’ needs and issues since when the vendor develops the system, it faces significant constraints due to the development and maintenance costs.
