Abstract

 AbstrakKarakter adalah gambaran diri manusia secara bulat dan utuh yang membuat unik dari manusia lain. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan untuk pemaknaan teks kepribadian Founding Fathers Indonesia (FFI) sebagai karakter ideal konseli. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah 1) mendeskripsikan hidup produktif menurut FFI yang dapat diserap menjadi karakter ideal konseli; 2) mendeskripsikan perilaku kerjasama menurut FFI yang dapat diserap menjadi karakter ideal konseli; 3) mendeskripsikan sikap menghargai menurut FFI yang dapat diserap menjadi karakter ideal konseli; 4) mendeskripsikan nilai kepribadian lain menurut FFI yang dapat diserap menjadi karakter ideal konseli.Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan tipe hermeneutik Gadamerian. Hermeneutik merupakan metode menafsirkan makna teks dengan pola part dan whole. Data penelitian ini bersumber dari lima buku primer Sukarno dan Suharto. Teknik mengumpulkan data dilakukan melalui dokumentasi pemaknaan teks. Analisis data menggunakan teknik part-whole. Keabsahan data penelitian ini, dilakukan melalui triangulasi sumber data, teori, dan metodologi.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa karakter ideal konseli menurut FFI terdiri dari hidup produktif, perilaku kerjasama, menghargai, nilai karakter lain yang mencakup religius dan nasionalis. Setiap karakter terbagi dalam beberapa aspek 1) hidup produktif: pola hidup sederhana, kontrol diri, dinamis, tidak bergantung pada bangsa lain, cinta produk dalam negeri, normatif, inovatif, rela berkorban, dan kebebasan; 2) perilaku kerjasama: rasa setiakawan, kesesuaian pedoman, dan nasionalisme-internasionalisme; 3) menghargai: musyawarah dan mufakat, bijaksana, dan toleransi; 4) nilai kepribadian lain meliputi 4.1) religius: keyakinan, pancasila sebagai pedoman dan rasional; 4.2) nasionalis: humanis, persatuan, dan cinta-damai. Sedangkan implikasi dalam bimbingan dan konseling sesuai dengan Standar Kompentensi Kemandirian Peserta Didik (SKKPD).Saran yang diajukan dalam penelitian ini adalah konselor seyogyanya dapat menggunakan hasil penelitian ini sebagai bahan identifikasi karakter ideal konseli. Peneliti yang berminat mengadaptasi hasil temuan ini hendaknya menggunakan subjek yang lebih luas, menggunakan varian metode hermeneutik, menggunakan varian teori konseling khususnya rumpun humanisme atau teori konseling lain dari barat maupun Indonesia, dan menggunakan buku teks bermuatan karakter yang lebih variatif. AbstractCharacter is whole picture of human and fully unique of others. This research been conducted for meaning the text of Indonesian Founding Fathers (IFF) as counselee’s ideal character. The purpose of the research are: 1) describing productivity life according to IFF can be considered to be counselee’s ideal character; 2) describing cooperative behavior according to IFF can be considered to be counselee’s ideal character. 3) describing respecting attitude according to FFI can be considered to be counselee’s ideal character. 4) describing other value of personality according to IFF can be considered to be counselee’s ideal character. This research using qualitative approach by Gadamerian hermeneutic type. Hermeneutic is interpreting teks valued methode by part and whole form. The research data based on the five Sukarno and Suharto’s primer books. Collecting data technique by meaning text documentation. The data analysis is using part-whole technique The validity of research data, been done by triangulation data course, theory, and metohology. Result of the reseach show that counselee’s ideal character according to IFF including productivity life, cooperative attitude, respecting, other character value which including religious and nationalis. Each character divided into four aspect: 1) productivity life, simplicity life form, self control, dinamic, not depending on anothers nation, love domestic product, normative, inovative, sucrificion, and freedom; 2) cooperative attitude, solidarity, according to the rule, nationalism-internationalism 3) Respecting, disccussing and making decision, and tolerance; 4) other Personality value including: 4.1.Religion, belief, pancasila as rule and rational; 4.2. nationalism, humanism, unity, and love peace. Next, the implication for the guidance and counseling according to the standard compentency otonomy of student. The recomendation which is recommending on this reserch, counselor should be using the result of this research as course of counselee’s ideal character identification. The next researcher, whom interest adopting this result should using the large subject, using variaty hermeneituc methode, using variaty counseling theory, specialy in humanism area or other counseling theory form west or Indonesia, and using text book, which content variatif character.

Abstract

Violence in any form and reason specifically in educational setting will affects every individual. Teachers should be aware that violence has historical cycle in society, community, even in individual levels. Based on the consideration, this paper tries to: 1) understand the root of violence, its values and its personal and social characteristics; 2) recognize the social characteristics of patriarchy and matriarchy in educational setting, and the necessity for counselors of having matriarchal communication styles; and 3) assert the importance of school counselors to equip themselves with balanced, empathic, and mutual communication. This paper concludes that the root of violence is not inherent in human nature but socially learned and inherited. Secondly, matriarchal characteristics in social relations are needed to prevent violence. Third, school counselors should equip themselves with mutualcommunications.Abstrak: Kekerasan bentuk apapun, dalam latar manapun, khususnya dalam dunia pendidikan, membawa dampak merugikan bagi banyak pihak. Para pendidik perlu menyadari bahwa kekerasan memiliki siklus historis baik pada kesatuan sosial terbesar, komunitas terbatas, maupun individu. Atas dasar itu, tujuan kajian ini adalah: pertama, mengenali akar kekerasan, sifat personal, sifat sosial, dan nilai yang dikandungnya untuk dapat dipahami dan dikelola; kedua, mengenali keberadaan sifat-sifat sosial patriarki dan matriarki dalam institusi pendidikan, serta bagaimana keniscayaan komunikasi konselor di bawah sifat matriarki; ketiga, pentingnya konselor/Guru Bimbingan Konseling (BK) melengkapi diri dengan komunikasi berimbang, empatik, saling berbagi, dan saling memenuhi kebutuhan. Setelah melalui kajian konseptual, tulisan ini menyimpulkan bahwa: pertama, akar kekerasan adalah tidak melekat pada hakekat manusia, melainkan terkandung dalam sifat sosial yang dipelajari dan diwariskan secara sosial; kedua, keberadaan sifat sosial dan sifat matriarki (pengganti yang patriarki) adalah niscaya adanya untuk mencegah kekerasan; dan ketiga, konselor perlu melengkapi diri dengan komunikasi berimbang.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to comprehend multicultural competency of counselor in Dayak tribe in the Middle Kalimantan with etnography type. The data analysis that used is data and analysis triangulation towards culture theme.  Accordingly, the culture values of Dayak ethnic that reflects on Huma Betang filosophy consists of four main values, they are togetherness, honesty, equality and tolerance. They are aimed to actualize society life of the Middle Kalimantan that full of peace, safety and harmony. Counselor absorps the culture values to actualize multikultural competency on counselor.

Abstract

Puang Rimaggalatung was the King of Wajo Arung Matowa IV who was known as a Bugis philosopher and had advice on the value of local wisdom. There is a potential culture that can be explored, raised and developed into the study of Indonesian counseling from him. The purpose of this research is to determine and to describe the conception of indigenous counseling from Puang Rimaggalatung’s thoughts. The research method used a qualitative approach with the Gadamerian hermeneutic research method. The results showed the conception of indigenous counseling at the level of human nature, the criteria of bugis counselors, ideal and problematic characters, and the counselor's self-position. The conception of human nature lays on the terms ade’ assamaturuseng (negotiation for consensus) and maradeka (independent). In the criteria of bugis counselors, it includes lempu’, ininnawa deceng; masémpoé ati, warani, macca mpinru’. The ideal characters of the counselor are fair, honest and smart, honest and religious, honest and self-introspective, committed, ethical, conscientious and religious. Problematic characters are fraudulent, hard-hearted and maladaptive. The position of the counselor is to have good manners and be a good listener

Abstract

Abstract: This research aimed to find: (1) the difficulties possibly faced by subjects in managing personal construct when filling Tschudi ABC format; (2) key personal construct recognized by subjects in their present and desired positions; (3) the results of subjects’ learning culture internalization to the implementation of Tschudi ABC Model. This study used a qualitative approach with the type of Classroom Action Research, the empirical phenomenological variant. The observed subjects were determined by purposive sampling, taken from the students of Multicultural Counseling class. The research informants were determined through snowballing. The data collection was conducted via a medium participatory observation and in-depth interview. The individual analysis was employed in the form of dynamic analysis of the research subjects’ individual personality. This research found that: (1) there was a difficulty in the form of contradiction and disparity in personal construct management. According to the subjects, compromise and synchronization of thoughts and attitudes were effective in settling the self-denial and gap; (2) The tendency of the change of subjects’ key personal construct was intentional accompanied by discursive awareness versus withdrawal and stagnant. There was a change of key personal construct to the more productive and non-productive orientation; (3) The function of “good news” versus “bad news” was very strong in the internalization of subjects’ learning culture. Providing “good news” (positive feedback) gave rise to more non-formal and affective internalization of learning culture with the purpose stated consciously and obviously, as well as concrete, clear, decisive, and straightforward plans.Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menemukan: (1) kemungkinan kesulitan yang dihadapi oleh subjek dalam kelola konstruk pribadi ketika mengisi format ABC Tschudi; (2) konstruk pribadi kunci yang dikenali oleh para subjek dalam posisi sekarang dan posisi yang dituju; (3) hasil internalisasi budaya belajar subjek atas penerapan Model ABC Tschudi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif tipe penelitian tindakan kelas, varian fenomenologi empirik. Subjek terteliti ditetapkan melalui teknik “purposive sampling”, para peserta kuliah dalam kelas Konseling Multibudaya. Informan penelitian ditetapkan secara snowballing. Pengumpulan data melalui observasi berpartisipasi medium dan wawancara mendalam. Digunakan unit analisis individual yaitu analisis dinamika konstruk pribadi perseorangan dari subjek penelitian. Temuan penelitian ini adalah: (1) ada kesulitan berupa pertentangan dan kesenjangan dalam kelola konstruk pribadi. Kompromi dan sinkronisasi pemikiran serta sikap merupakan cara efektif yang dinyatakan oleh subjek untuk mengatasi pertentangan dan kesenjangan dalam diri; (2) kecenderungan perubahan konstruksi pribadi kunci subjek adalah intensional disertai kesadaran diskursif versus withdrawal dan stagnan. Ada perubahan konstruk pribadi kunci ke arah yang lebih produktif dan ada yang ke arah non-produktif; (3) sangat kuat fungsi “kabar gembira” versus “bukan kabar gembira” dalam internalisasi budaya belajar subjek. Pemberian “kabar gembira” (balikan positif) menimbulkan internalisasi budaya belajar secara lebih non-formal afektif dengan tujuan yang dinyatakan secara sadar dan jelas, dan rencana tindakan yang konkret, jelas, tegas, dan lugas.
