Abstract

A shortage of seeds and low-quality production of the marine algae Kappaphycus alvarezii are classic problems that farmers encounter. Therefore, growth hormones, a natural ingredient in young coconut water, must be used. This research aimed to analyze the growth rate of the marine algae K.alvarezii using coconut water immersion treatment at different times (0 minutes, 30 minutes, 40 minutes, and 50 minutes) with an initial weight of 50 g. This research was conducted in South Sulawesi, Wakatobi Regency, Wangi-Wangi Selatan District, Liya One Melangka Village from June to October 2023. This research used the RAL method to measure the weight of the marine algae Kappaphycus alvarezii every 10 days and measure water quality for 40 days. The results of the ANOVA analysis in the soaking treatment of K.alvarezii sea algae seeds showed significant effects

Abstract

Koi (Cyprinus rubrofuscus) is one of the freshwater fish farming commodities that has an attractive color. Cultivators are trying to improve the quality of the color of this fish by adding a source of pigment. One is Spirulina, a source of natural pigments added to feed. Spirulina platensis has a content of B-carotene (28%) and Zeaxanthin (17%). This study aims to enrich Daphnia sp by using S.platensis flour to increase koi fish's color brightness and growth. This research was carried out for ±40 days at the Tatelu Freshwater Aquaculture Fisheries Center (BPBAT) Tatelu. The research method is experimental by applying a Complete Random Design (CRD) consisting of four treatments and three replicates. Treatment A (Control), B (3 g/L), C (5 g/L), D (7 g/L) S.platensis flour. The test fish used were 96 koi carp seeds with a length of 57 mm and a body weight of 5.47 g. The containers used are 12 aquariums measuring 30×40×40 cm3 with a volume of 48 L and fish stocking density of 8 fish. The data analysis used was Analysis of Variance, and a further test of the Smallest Real Difference (BNT) was carried out using the SPSS version 26.0 application. The results showed that the application of Daphnia sp enriched with S.platensis flour could have a real effect on the color brightness and specific growth rate of koi carp (p<0.05). The best treatment in this study was the administration of S.platensis flour as much as 7 g/L.

Abstract

Ikan koi (Cyprinus rubrofuscus) merupakan salah satu jenis ikan hias air tawar yang sangat digemari dan digemari oleh masyarakat, ikan ini dikenal dengan keindahan warnanya yang bervariasi, seperti merah, putih, kuning dan hitam. Keindahan warna menjadi salah satu faktor utama yang menentukan harga jual ikan hias di pasaran. Petani ikan hias sering mengalami permasalahan warna pada ikan hias yang kurang menarik. Penambahan sumber karotenoid pada pakan dapat mempengaruhi pembentukan kecerahan warna pada ikan hias. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh dan dosis yang tepat dari penambahan sari buah pepaya (Carica papaya L.) pada pakan dengan pemberian dosis yang berbeda terhadap tingkat kecerahan warna dan kelangsungan hidup ikan koi (Cyprinus rubrofuscus). Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen dengan percobaan menggunakan RAL yang terdiri dari 5 perlakuan dan diulang sebanyak 3 kali. Perlakuan A (kontrol), perlakuan B (10 ml/kg pakan), perlakuan C (20 ml/kg pakan), perlakuan D (30 ml/kg pakan) dan perlakuan E (40 ml/kg pakan). Hewan uji yang digunakan selama penelitian adalah benih ikan koi ukuran 4-5 cm sebanyak 150 ekor, dengan padat tebar 1 ekor/2 liter air. Pemeliharaan dilakukan selama 30 hari dengan frekuensi pemberian pakan 3 kali sehari sebanyak 5% dari bobot tubuh ikan. Pemberian sari buah pepaya dilakukan dengan cara disemprotkan pada pakan sesuai dosis masing-masing perlakuan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penambahan sari buah pepaya dengan dosis yang berbeda tidak berpengaruh terhadap warna dan kelangsungan hidup ikan koi (Cyprinus rubrofuscus). Nilai kecerahan tertinggi diperoleh pada perlakuan E dengan penambahan sari buah pepaya sebanyak 40 ml/kg pakan.

Abstract

Color is one of the reasons ornamental fish are in demand by the community, so farmers need to maintain the color of ornamental fish. This study aims to determine the effect of carrot juice on the color of goldfish. This research was conducted from December to January 2023. The method used was an experimental method with Complete Randomized Design (RAL) with four treatments and three repeats in each test group. Testing is carried out by giving feed with a mixture of carrot juice with different doses. The results showed that the color values in goldfish were different, namely, P0 treatment without giving carrot juice with a color value of 18.54, P1 treatment (10 g/100 ml aquades) with a color value of 18.4, P2 treatment (20 g/100 ml) with a color value of 19.35, P3 treatment (30 g/100 ml) with a color value of 17.67. Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) showed that the effect of carrot juice on the color of goldfish had no significant effect on each treatment with FHitung (0.11) > FTabel (4.07). Water quality parameters during the study were still in normal conditions for the growth of goldfish.

Abstract

Tilapia is a fish species in Indonesia with significant economic value. Tilapia cultivation has excellent prospects, both domestically and internationally, requiring effective measures to ensure production meets community standards. The prospects for developing tilapia cultivation are quite promising, as the low production costs of tilapia farming allow for higher profits. Biofloc technology is an alternative solution to the waste problem of intensive farming. This technology is highly advantageous because it not only reduces inorganic nitrogen waste from leftover feed and feces, but also provides supplemental protein feed for farmed animals, thereby increasing growth and feed efficiency.This study aims to analyze the benefits and factors that influence the success of tilapia biofloc cultivation in SikoFish Gorontalo. This study uses a quantitative method with data collection techniques through surveys and observations. The results of the study indicate that tilapia biofloc cultivation can generate profits of Rp. 180,585,000 / harvest with a return on investment of 1.14 years. Factors that influence the success of tilapia biofloc cultivation are location selection, container preparation, media preparation, seed preparation, seed distribution, feed management, water quality management, and floc density. Therefore, it is necessary to develop business and production cost efficiency to increase income and make tilapia biofloc cultivation viable.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh tingkat pemberian pakan dan padat tebar yang berbeda terhadap pertumbuhan dan kelangsungan hidup benih ikan nila (Oreochromis niloticus), kombinasi tingkat pemberian pakan dan padat tebar yang berbeda terhadap pertumbuhan dan kelangsungan hidup benih ikan nila (Oreochromis niloticus). Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Balai Usaha Pembenihan Ikan Aquakultur Kasih Karunia Suwawa, selama 30 hari. Metode yang digunakan eksperimen dengan RAL factorial. Faktor Dosis Pakan (A) Masing-masing dengan taraf (6%, 8%, dan 10%) dan faktor padat tebar (B) masing-masing dengan taraf (1 ekor/l, 2 ekor/l dan 3 ekor/l) Data yang diamati meliputi pertumbuhan panjang mutlak, berat mutlak dan kelangsungan hidup. Hasil analisis menggunakan ANOVA. menunjukan interaksi antara tingkat pemberian pakan dan padat tebar yang berbeda tidak memberikan pengaruh nyata terhadap pertumbuhan panjang mutlak dan kelangsungan hidup benih ikan nila (Oreochromis niloticus). Hasil panjang mutlak tertinggi adalah 8,01 cm terdapat pada perlakuan A3B1 (dosis pakan 10% + padat tebar 5 ekor). Kualitas air berada pada taraf optimum untuk pertumbuhan benih ikan nila

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kombinasi pupuk Urea dan TSP dapat berpengaruh terhadap pertumbuhan anggur laut (Caulerpa sp). Untuk mengetahui rasio pupuk yang baik pada pertumbuhan anggur laut (Caulerpa sp). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan rancangan acak lengkap dengan lima perlakuan yakni perlakuan A (Dosis Urea 0 mg/l + TSP 100 mg/l), B (Dosis Urea 25 mg/l + TSP 75 mg/l), C (Dosis Urea 50 mg/l + TSP 50 mg/l), D (Dosis urea 75 mg/l + TSP 25 mg/l) dan E (Dosis Urea100 mg/l + TSP 0 mg/l) dan empat kali ulangan. Pertumbuhan anggur laut tertinggi terdapat pada perlakuan D dengan nilai 84,78 gram dan terendah pada perlakuan A dengan nilai 10,28 gram. Hasil analisis ANOVA menunjukan bahwa perlakuan kombinasi pupuk Urea dan TSP berpengaruh nyata terhadap pertumbuhan (Caulerpa sp) dilihat pada taraf (0,05).

Abstract

Salah satu ikan hias air tawar yang banyak dibudidayakan masyarakat adalah ikan mas koki (Carassius auratus). Karena selain memiliki kelebihan dari bentuk tubuhnya yang indah dan menarik, ikan mas koki juga memiliki peluang pasar yang besar, baik di dalam negeri maupun di luar negeri. Salah satu faktor yang mempengaruhi pertumbuhan ikan mas koki adalah pakan, dalam budidaya ikan hias harus diperhatikan tentang pemberian dan penyediaan pakan yang berkualitas dan berprotein tinggi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui perbandingan komposisi campuran pakan alami cacing sutra (Tubifex sp), dan daphnia terhadap pertumbuhan dan kelangsungan hidup benih ikan mas koki (Carassius Auratus). Metode yang diguanakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode eksperimen dengan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL). penelitian ini adalah metode eksperimen dengan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL). Terdiri 4 perlakuan dengan 3 ulangan : A (Pemberian pakan cacing sutra  dan daphnia sp), B (Pemberian pakan cacing sutra dan daphnia sp) dan C (Pemberian pakan cacing sutra dan daphnia sp) D (Pemberian pakan cacing sutra dan daphnia sp) dengan kepadatan 5 ekor/5 liter air selama kurang lebih 21 hari. Berdasarkan hasil Analisis sidik ragam pertumbuhan berat dan pertumbuhan panjang benih kan menunjukan bahwa berpengaruh nyata. Sedangkan untuk Analisis sidik ragam kelangsungan hidup tidak berpengaruh nyata.
