Abstract

The main problem in organic lettuce production in Windujaya Village is low productivity as a result of the planting media relying only on nutrient intake from compost. The purpose of this activity is to introduce tricho-compost technology and liquid organic fertilizer to increase the productivity of organic lettuce plants. The method for carrying out this activity was through technology transfer through training and training carried out with demonstration plots. The results of the activity show that the cultivation of organic lettuce has been using simple technology so that the ability to meet market demand in terms of yield quality cannot be maximally fulfilled. It needs a breakthrough in marketing, not only fresh produce is sold, it needs an effort to be developed into agro tourism. Training in organic lettuce cultivation with biological agent technology and biofertilizers can significantly increase farmers' knowledge and skills in organic lettuce cultivation. The application of tricho-compost technology combined with POC can increase the production of lettuce plants by 20 percent with a profit of Rp. 150,000.00 per 100 polybags and farming efficiency of 1.88.

Abstract

Desa rangkah merupakan salah satu sentra penghasil gula di Kabupaten Kebumen. Terdapat sekitar 51 unit industri gula kelapa dalam skala rumah tangga. Gula kelapa masih diproduksi secara tradisional, menggunakan dapur yang kurang bersih dan laru sintetis (“Sodium metabisulfida”) yang turut andil dalam menghasilkan gula yang tidak sehat. Salah satu program kegiatan yang dilaksanakan adalah pembenahan dapur dan penggunakaan laru alami untuk memperbaiki kualitas gula kelapa menjadi lebih sehat. Kegiatan KKN dapat meningkatkan kualitas dapur sehat sebesar 33,60% dan dengan gula menggunakan laru alami menampilkan warna, tekstur, rasa dan flavor yang lebih disukai daripada gula dengan menggunakan laru sintetis “Sodium metabisulfida”.

Abstract

Coconut plant is the important estate plant to produce brown sugar from neera. Current condition, the neera production is low especially in dry season. The aim of this research was to study the effect of foliar liquid organic fertilizer to increase the coconut neera production in Kebumen Regency. This research was conducted in Coconut People’s Plantation Karanggadung Village PetanahanKebumen from Juli till October 2016. Randomized Completely block design with factorial treatments was used with 3 replications. The first factors was the dosage of liquid foliar fertilizer solution ie 250 mL plant-1 (d1), 500 mL plant-1 (d2), 750 mL plant-1 (d3), and 1000 mL plant-1 (d4). The second factor is interval time of application ie. 1 week (f1), 2 weeks (f2), 3 weeks (f3), and 4 weeks (f4). The observed variables were volume of neera production, pH of neera, sucrosa content, and leaf chlorophyll contents. The result showed that Application of foliar liquid organic fertilizer increase the leaf greenness at 80.55 SPAD unit at three weeks time interval, as reflected the total chlorophyll content. Fertilization of coconut plant with foliar liquid organic fertilizer increase the neera production about 15,32%, and the highest volume of neera was achieved at the dosage of foliar liquid organic fertilizer 750 mL plant-1 with the frequency of application three weeks.

Abstract

Kepik Vatiga illudens (Drake, 1992) (Hemiptera: Tingidae) merupakan hama baru yang masuk Indoensia. Masuknya V. illudens ini menimbulkan kekhawatiran tentang invasi dan potensinya sebagai hama singkong eksotik baru di Indonesia. Minimnya informasi dasar tentang V. illudens, akan mempersulit penilaian dan prediksi wabah hama di Indonesia. Kabupaten Banyumas wajib mengantisipasi serangan hama tersebut karena memiliki kawasan tanam singkong yang cukup luas pada tahun 2018 yaitu 1.711 ha dengan hasil panen yang juga termasuk banyak dibanding tanaman pangan lainnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat (intensitas) serangan hama baru tersebut pada salah satu aksesi singkong yang ada di Kabupaten Banyumas, khususnya Kecamatan Sumbang, di lingkungan screenhouse Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Jenderal Soedirman. Penelitian menggunakan ulangan sebanyak 3 (tiga) kali, dengan satu set tanaman sebagai control. Pengamatan dilakukan selama 30 (tiga puluh hari). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa intensitas serangan mengalami kenaikan dari hari ke-hari. Meskipun cenderung mengalami peningkatan, mulai hari ke-18, serangan menunjukkan skala yang stasioner (tetap) hingga hari ke-30.

Abstract

Spiders are the main natural enemies (predators) for pests that attack crops. Knowledge about the relationship between Arthropods found on agricultural land and the bacteria carrying these animals, which are symbiotic, still needs to be found in Indonesia. Spiders are important biocontrol agents in agricultural land. This study examined the relationship between bacteria potentially carried by spiders, as members of the Phylum Arthropoda, in chili plants grown in agroecosystems. This study aimed to determine the presence of bacteria carried by spiders in chili planting areas of the Banyumas Regency. This study found a species of spider (Oxyopes lineatipes) collected from chili crops in 3 (three) sub-districts in Banyumas Regency. From these spiders, 5 (five) bacteria isolates were found, both from inside the body and from the surface of the spider's body. The results of the hypersensitivity test showed that 2 (two) isolates were non-pathogenic bacteria, while the other 3 (three) isolates had potential as plant pathogens. However, further research is still being carried out regarding identifying the bacterial species found.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah memperoleh rakitan teknologi budidaya kubis organik berbasis POC danpestisida nabati yang berproduksi tinggi. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Desa Serang Kec. Karangreja Purbalingga daribulan Maret sampai Juli 2014. Penelitianmenggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompk (RAK) dengan enam perlakuanrakitan teknologi budidaya kubis organik dan empat ulangan. Hasil penelitian diperoleh dua rakitan budidayakubis organik berbasis Pupuk Organik Cair (POC) dan pestisida nabati yang paling baik adalah: 1). pupuk kandang(10 ton/ha) + POC tanah (4 ml/l) + POC daun (4 ml/l) + agens hayati Trichoderma harzianum + Mikorhiza, 2).Pupuk kandang (10 ton/ha) + POC tanah (4 ml/l) + dolomit + kombinasi POC daun (4 ml/l) dan fosfat nabati (6%)+ pestisida nabati ( maja gadung).Kata Kunci: rakitan teknologi budidaya, kubis, pupuk organik cair, pestisida nabatiABSTRACTThe objective of this research was to assembly organic cabbage culture based on liquid organic fertilizer(LOF) and botanical pesticide with high yield. This research was held ini Serang village Karangreja Purbalingga.This research used randomized complete block design (RCBD) with six treatments and 4 replications. Results ofthe research performed that two assemblies of organic cabbage culture based on LOF and botanical pesticideindicating the high yield were 1) animal manure (10 t/ha) + soil LOF (4 ml/l) + leaf LOF (4 ml/l) + biologicalagents of Trichoderma harzianum + Mycorhiza, and 2) animal manure 910 t/ha) + soil LOF (4 ml/l) + dolomite+ combined leaf LOF (4 ml/l) and botanical phosphate (6%) + botanical pesticide (maja-gadung).Keywords: culture technology assembly, cabbage, liquid organic fertilizer, botanical pesticide
