Abstract

This study explores the significance of Qur'anic memorization (tahfidzul Qur'an) in developing both academic and character aspects of students at SMP Ulumul Qur'an Pidie Jaya. Employing a qualitative approach, data were gathered through observation, interviews, and document analysis. The findings indicate that the tahfidz program is conducted within a religious boarding environment, integrated with both formal and religious curricula, and emphasizes intensive repetition (taqrir), simaan, muraja'ah, and halaqah. Supporting factors include a conducive environment, teacher support, adequate facilities, and religious motivation. The main constraints involve limited time due to a demanding academic schedule and low student motivation when driven solely by parental pressure. Consequently, the flexibility of memorization methods tailored to students' characteristics, supported by intensive collaboration between the school and the boarding facility, serves as the key to the successful implementation of the Qur'anic memorization program at SMP Ulumul Qur'an Pidie Jaya.

Abstract

This study examines the effectiveness of using audio-visual media in teaching fiqh at MIN 12 Pidie Jaya. The learning process is an interaction that results in behavioral changes, where the role of teachers in creating a conducive learning environment is crucial. The use of modern learning media is expected to improve student understanding and create a more dynamic and interesting learning atmosphere. Although attention to this media is increasing, there are still some shortcomings in its integration with more common traditional learning methods. The method used in this study was qualitative, with data collection through observation, interviews, and document analysis. The results showed that the application of audio-visual media significantly increased student enthusiasm and made it easier to understand fiqh concepts. Students became more active and showed greater interest in the material, thus creating an interactive and enjoyable learning atmosphere. However, this study also identified several challenges, such as limited internet access, technical problems related to devices, and lack of training for teachers. These findings emphasize that although audio-visual media has great potential, these challenges need to be overcome so that fiqh learning can take place effectively. This study concludes that the integration of technology in education is an important step to prepare students for the digital era

Abstract

This research examines the knowledge and use of Artificial Intelligence in Education (AIEd) by students at three Islamic universities in Indonesia, namely Universitas Al-Qolam Malang (UQM), Institut Agama Islam Ibrahimy Banyuwangi, and Institut Agama Islam Al Muslim Aceh. This survey was conducted at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. This study used a mixed-methods method with a multi-site case study design. Data were collected online through quantitative surveys and qualitative interviews, using three analytical techniques: pattern matching, explanation building, and logic models. The findings of the research indicate that the level of student knowledge about AIEd is still relatively low. The majority of students are not familiar with AIEd and its benefits in the learning process. Students use AIEd for various academic purposes. As a learning assistant, AI is used to access library materials (books, journals, and kitab kuning), text translation, infer PDF content, and plagiarism detection. As a generative AI, students use AI for citation management, paraphrasing texts, creating paper outlines, and even writing part or all of a paper. Students generally have a positive view of AIEd's prospects in the Islamic PT environment. They believe that AIEd can help improve the quality of learning and support the achievement of their learning goals. This research provides an overview of AIEd’s potential to revolutionize the design, processes, and learning assessment systems in Islamic universities. So the recommendation from these findings is the need for socialization, education and training efforts to increase student knowledge about AIEd and how to use it effectively.

Abstract

In a region like Aceh, where the echoes of past conflict still shape the present, education carries the weight of healing and rebuilding. This study explores how peace education is thoughtfully woven into Arabic language learning at PTKIN Aceh. Using a qualitative case study approach, data were gathered through classroom observations, conversations with lecturers and students, and a close examination of teaching materials. The findings show that when Arabic is taught through meaningful texts such as verses from the Qur’an, classical poetry, and real-life articles it becomes more than a language lesson. It becomes a space for reflection, dialogue, and the growth of values like empathy, tolerance, and mutual respect. Students shared how learning Arabic in this way helped them see the language as a bridge not just to knowledge, but to one another. Discussions in class sparked deeper awareness, especially when connected to Aceh’s own journey toward peace. Still, the effort is not without its challenges: limited resources, a lack of lecturer preparation in peace-based pedagogy, and students who are just beginning to connect language with life. Even so, the dedication of educators and the richness of the texts used offer real hope. This study suggests that when peace values are intentionally embedded in Arabic instruction, the classroom can become a place where harmony is not only taught but quietly practiced.
