Abstract

[English]: This article discusses the impact of an online learning using Edmodo application on prospective teachers’ (PTs) social skills based on their thinking styles. A quasi-experimental research was used to examine the impact. Social skill and thinking style questonannires were administered to 100 PTs. The data were analysed using analyis of variances (Anova). The results show that PTs’ social skills with four thinking styles: concrete sequential (CS), abstract sequential (AS), concrete random (CR) and abstract random (AR) through the online learning are better than using a direct learning. Moreover, PTs’ social skills within each thinking style do not show any difference. However, in the direct learning, PTs’ social skills with abstract random thinking are better than PTs’ with abstract sequential. [Bahasa]: Artikel ini membahas pengaruh model pembelajaran online dengan aplikasi Edmodo terhadap keterampilan sosial mahasiswa calon guru berdasarkan gaya berpikir. Penelitian kuantitatif dengan jenis eksperimen semu digunakan untuk menguji pengaruh tersebut. Pengumpulan data menggunakan angket yaitu angket keterampilan sosial dan angket karakteristik gaya berfikir yang diberikan kepada 100 calon guru. Uji Anova digunakan untuk menganalisis data. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa keterampilan sosial mahasiswa calon guru dengan empat gaya berpikir: sekuensial konkret (CS), sekuensial abstrak (AS), acak konkret (CR), dan acak abstrak (AR) yang menggunakan pembelajaran online edmodo lebih baik daripada pembelajaran langsung. Selain itu, keterampilan sosial mahasiswa calon guru pada masing-masing karakteristik gaya berpikir saat pembelajaran online tidak berbeda. Namun, pada pembelajaran langsung, keterampilan sosial calon guru dengan gaya berfikir acak abstrak lebih baik daripada sekuensial abstrak.

Abstract

As a service provider to the public, the government must maintain the quality of its services. Quality public service is one that can meet public satisfaction. This study aims to analyze the quality of population administration services at the Department of Population and Civil Registration in Prabumulih City. The research uses a descriptive method with a quantitative approach. Data were obtained from 100 respondents through convenience/accidental sampling. Data collection was carried out by distributing a questionnaire consisting of 25 statements on a Likert scale. This study assesses the public's perception of several service dimensions, including speed, clarity of fees, the friendliness of staff, as well as the reliability and available facilities. The results show that the service is rated good, with minimal differences between public expectations and perceptions. Factors such as speed, fee clarity, and staff friendliness contribute to satisfaction. However, the physical aspects and reliability still require improvement. Recommendations include upgrading the facilities and administrative tools used in the service, as well as providing regular training for staff to support more responsive service. These improvements are expected to enhance the overall service quality and increase public satisfaction.

Abstract

This study aims to develop STEM-based Teaching Materials with a STEM approach to Online learning. Post-COVID-19 pandemic, online learning is a familiar form of activity, so post-pandemic learning and learning design must be developed, especially to measure students’ mathematical Communication skills. This study used the study and Development study methodology with the ADDIE Model. The sample in this study was 80 students. This study showed a significant difference of 0.44, which stated that using STEM teaching materials was better than regular learning in mathematical Communication skills. Two factors, namely ease of access to teaching materials and ease of repeating teaching materials, affect students’ Communication skills

Abstract

Complete online learning is mandatory due to COVID 19 that hit Indonesia. In the implementation of fully online learning, there are obstacles and obstacles. So it is necessary to research the conditions of learning while entirely online. This study describes the learning process and obstacles during complete online learning. This study also discusses online learning facilities that are of interest to students. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method to analyze the problem. Respondents in this study were 2047 students. This study resulted in 3 things that happened to fully online learning related to quotas, learning media, and learning facilities. These three components need attention so that full online lectures can run smoothly.

Abstract

In 2022, the most extensive plantation in Balangan Regency was a rubber plantation, covering an area of 37,901 hectares and producing 24,375 tons. To enhance the role and competitiveness of rubber commodities, one of the necessary efforts is to improve the quality of processed rubber materials. This requires a facility for processing, storing, and marketing rubber raw materials, whether in the form of latex, lump, slab, smoked sheet, or crepe. PT. Asabaru Dayacipta Lestari (PERSERODA), a regional company in Balangan Regency with a rubber plantation of 31,383 square meters in Batumandi District, plans to construct a warehouse for processing, storing, and marketing Processed Rubber Materials, along with office and employee accommodations. To support this, a technical study is required for the planning and construction of a PRM warehouse and its supporting facilities, including an office and employee accommodations in Kasai Village, Batumandi District, Balangan Regency. Cost analysis based on the National Building Unit Price (HSBGN) issued by the Regent includes several classifications to determine the estimated cost of physical construction, planning, supervision, and activity management. The cost estimate in this technical study is a rough estimate to be used for budgeting and as a basis for evaluating project performance. The calculation is based on the 2021 South Kalimantan Province National Building Unit Price (HSBGN), which is converted to 2024 using inflation data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of South Kalimantan Province. Based on the 2021 South Kalimantan Province HSBGN for Balangan Regency, the estimated cost (budget) for the construction of a Processed Rubber Materials warehouse, office, and employee accommodations is Rp. 18,778,365,000. This cost includes estimates for planning, supervision, activity management, and construction. This estimated cost (budget) is still at an early stage and can be continued to the next stage, which is detailed planning (DED), technical specifications, and a detailed budget plan (RAB). Abstract

Kecakapan matematis merupakan salah satu acuan dalam kesuksesan belajar matematika. Salah satu komponen kecakapan matematis adalah Pemahaman Konseptual Matematis, dengan 6 indikator pemahaman konsep. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif dengan subjek sebanyak 44 mahasiswa Pendidikan Matematika angkatan pertama IAIN Ponorogo Tahun Akademik 2022-2023. Penelitian ini berfokus untuk menganalisis pemahaman konseptual mahasiswa pada materi logika ditinjau dari hasil assessment diagnostic berupa asal jurusan pada jenjang pendidikan sebelumnya. Data diperoleh dari nilai hasil UTS mata kuliah Pengantar Dasar Matematika dan kuesioner. Berdasarkan hasil analisis, pemahaman konseptual mahasiswa Tadris Matematika IAIN Ponorogo pada materi logika masih tergolong rendah. Hal ini ditunjukkan dengan rerata persentase pada masing-masing asal jurusan masih berada di bawah 70%. Adapun rincian rerata persentase pemahaman konseptual mahasiswa dari asal jurusan IPA sebesar 52,3%, mahasiswa dari asal jurusan IPS 43,3%, serta mahasiswa dari asal jurusan Agama dan kejuruan masing-masing 33,3%. Ditinjau dari indikator pemahaman konseptual matematis, kesalahan yang paling banyak dilakukan mahasiswa adalah pada indikator keenam yaitu mengembangkan syarat perlu atau cukup dari suatu konsep yaitu hanya 2 dari seluruh mahasiswa mampu menjawab benar. Mathematical proficiency is one of the treatises to indicate the success of learning mathematics. One component of mathematical proficiency is Mathematical Conceptual Understanding, with 6 indicators of it. This is descriptive quantitative research and continued with answer analysis of 44 Mathematics Education students of the first batch at IAIN Ponorogo in the Academic Year 2022-2023. This study focuses on analyzing descriptively students' conceptual understanding of logic in term diagnostic assessment results i.e. students’ majors at the previous education level. Data were obtained from the students’ scores and answers to Logic material. Based on the results, known that the conceptual understanding of students is still relatively low as it is below 70%. For details, the average student’s conceptual understanding percentage from science majors is 52.3%, social sciences majors are 43.3%, and religion and vocational majors are 33.3%. The common mistakes that students made were in the sixth indicator, i.e. developing necessary or sufficient terms of a concept which only 2 of all students answered correctly.

Abstract

Climate change poses a global threat to the sustainability of life. Cultivating environmental awareness is urgently needed. Mathematics education plays a strategic role in achieving sustainable development goals. This qualitative research aims to gather initial information on the need to develop student worksheets based on environmental sustainability on the topic of data presentation. The research stages include: initial-final analysis, analysis of student characteristics, task analysis, concept analysis, and formulation of specific learning objectives. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data were analyzed using Miles and Huberman's qualitative analysis. The results of the study indicate that: (1) teachers have not fully integrated the environmental context, either directly or through media, so that the meaning of mathematics learning is relatively low; (2) students' environmental awareness and numeracy literacy skills in the context of the topic of data presentation are still low. These findings form the basis for developing student worksheets.
