Abstract

Sampah plastik merupakan sampah yang terbuat dari bahan plastik. Plastik sangat umum digunakan karena ringan, tahan lama, dan murah. Tetapi, produk dengan bahan utama plastik juga sulit terurai secara alami dan dapat mencemari lingkungan jika tidak dikelola dengan baik. Salah satu upaya pengurangan sampah plastik adalah dengan cara menggunakan kembali sampah plastik. Program kegiatan ini dilaksanakan di SD N Kalisoro 1 Tawangmangu. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini supaya siswa mampu mengelola kembali sampah plastik, terutama sampah botol plastik. Hasil dari program yang dilaksanakan yaitu menumbuhkan kreatifitas siswa-siswi dalam memanfaatkan sampah botol plastik untuk digunakan kembali menjadi produk seperti pot, vas bunga, tempat alat tulis atau sebagai hiasan. Manfaat kegiatan ini adalah siswa-siswi sekolah mampu mengurangi sampah dan memberikan bekal kepada generasi muda akan pentingnya mnjaga kebersihan dan mengelola sampah agar tidak menjadi masalah dikemudian hari dan mewujudkan generasi yang senantiasa peduli akan pengelolaan sampah. Metode yang dilakukan pada kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah pelatihan dan pengenalan akan sampah botol plastik yang dapat digunakan kembali dengan teknik lukis.

Abstract

Pelatihan ini bertujuan membantu para dosen non Bahasa Inggris, khususnya bagi dosen yang akan mengikuti seleksi tes TOEFL sebagai prasyarat lulus sertifikasi dosen. Selain itu, adanya pelatihan TOEFL untuk meningkatkan kemampuan mereka dalam memahami penguasaan bahasa Inggris berekuivalensi TOEFL. Terlebih lagi, pelatihan ini memberikan kesempatan bagi para dosen tersebut untuk lebih memahami dan menguasai cara-cara penyelesaian soal-soal TOEFL. Pelatihan TOEFL ini terdiri dari tiga materi dasar Bahasa Inggris, yaitu listening, structure and written expression, dan reading. Setelah mengikuti pelatihan ini peserta memiliki gambaran dalam mengerjakan tes TOEFL menggunakan strategi-streategi yang diajarkan. Tentunya, hasil test TOEFL yang baik menjadi salah satu syarat dosen agar lolos sertifikasi dosen.

Abstract

Abstract Plastic cans are often produced by toast traders or people who like food that uses bread filled with jam. These plastic cans are usually thrown away or collected and sold to waste collectors. Plastic waste will, of course, take longer to decompose and harm the ecosystem and survival. One way to reduce the impact of plastic can waste is to reuse cans into furnitures with new functions for home furnishings, such as chairs. Plastic cans are short and cannot be formed into chairs of standard sizes. A collection of plastic cans of the same size can be created into a small chair called a "dingklik". Dingklik in Javanese is a small, short chair usually used by mothers who cook in the kitchen. Chairs made from plastic cans can also be used anywhere because the chairs made from the primary material of plastic cans are lightweight with a neater and more aesthetic appearance using supporting materials such as vinyl cloth foam for the seat and hemp rope for covering the can. The results of utilizing plastic cans in valuable chairs are described using a qualitative descriptive design method approach. By utilizing plastic can waste in table products, plastic cans can become a new product that is valuable and can also help reduce the impact of plastic product waste so that environmental sustainability can be well maintained.

Abstract

Abstract:With the rapid development of information and communication technology, the learning of science must be given from an early age, especially in the field of education at the elementary level. We are trying to improve the science and technology with the intention of preparing for the upcoming ANBK exam. The Community Service entitled Socialization of Computer Technology Learning for ANBK Exam Preparation at SDN 2 Pandeyan, Ngemplak District, Boyolali Regency was carried out on Tuesday 1 August 2023 to Wednesday 2 August 2023. The aim is to provide science and technology knowledge and skills to students at SDN 2 Pandeyan who Never operated on a computer. The method used is socialization and direct practice of computer operation and ANBK exam simulation. The result of this activity is that Pandeyan 2 Elementary School students have skills in operating computers both for daily needs and for ANBK exams. Keywords: ANBK, Computer, and SD

Abstract

Students with special needs need help understanding English vocabulary due to limited hearing and communication skills. Therefore, the proposer provides an alternative solution to improve learning through e-flipbooks based on local wisdom. The purpose of this study is to (1) Describe the mapping of the needs of students with disabilities regarding English learning materials for students with disabilities at Sahid University Surakarta and (2) Describe the development of e-flipbooks based on local wisdom for teaching English vocabulary to students with disabilities at Sahid University Surakarta. This model development research begins with a need analysis mapping the needs of students with disabilities in learning English, especially regarding vocabulary. Furthermore, the 4D development model (define, design, develop and disseminate). With the convenience of e-flipbook teaching media based on local wisdom, learners with disabilities can use this teaching media to understand English vocabulary more quickly.

Abstract

The systematic analysis scrutinizes the psychoanalytic feminist of Nyai Ontosoroh character (a gundik- a woman who lives in a non-legal marriage with a man) as portrayed in This Earth of Mankindnovel by an Indonesian famous and influential literary figure, Pramoedya Ananta Toer. Drawing on inferential content analysis, this research depicted the psychological conflicts in the form of id, ego, and superego experienced by Nyai Ontosoroh. It was revealed that Nyai Ontosoroh's primary desires (id) centered on achieving personal freedom and independence and regaining custody of her daughter. However, she had undergone resistance from the Colonialism law (superego), which deemed her ineligible for custody and any inheritance from her former husband due to her status as a "gundik", not legally married to him. To reach a compromise, Nyai Ontosoroh took conscious and strategic steps (ego) to fight for her rights, such as marrying her daughter to a man she loved, attaining financial independence, and fighting against colonialism laws to regain custody of her daughter. This study's findings provide valuable insights for feminist activists looking to promote gender equality, as demonstrated through the character of Nyai Ontosoroh.

Abstract

             The interior concept of the Graha Sahid Surakarta room is formed from the ceiling. You can see that the character is very strong with wayang characters. The symbolism of wayang figures in interior design can convey a traditional and artistic atmosphere to the room. This research aims to analyze the description of semiotic studies at the level of signifier and signified originating from the wayang characters symbols on the ceiling at Graha Sahid Surakarta.              The data collection method in this article is the documentation method. Researchers also use a data analysis method called the semiotic analysis method. In carrying out semiotic analysis, researchers used the basic theory of Roland Barthes, namely the meaning of signifiers, signifieds, denotations and connotations of the wayang character symbols on the ceiling at Graha Sahid Surakarta.             The results of the research show that using Roland Barthes' semiotic theory on the wayang characters symbol on the ceiling at Graha Sahid Surakarta provides a deep understanding of how these symbols influence the perception and experience of space. Semiotic analysis will of course pay attention to how the placement of the selected wayang characters can influence the visual narrative of the room by placing the wayang characters in an order and creating a clear storyline. In interior design, wayang character symbols can provide a special emotional feel for the room's users.
