Abstract

Current trends in the design of transport aircraft have shown that in order to be economically viable and competitive it is necessary to investigate technologies that can give an improvement in performance and operational flexibility goal, but must be shown to be cost effective. The current competitive environment forces the potential customers to buy advanced technology aircraft and requires manufacturers to provide more operational flexibility, without drastic performance penalties. This is a challenging task, which might be solved by the use of new technologies. It is believed that the application of a WIG (Wing-in-Ground-Effect) would assist in achieving such a task. This paper describes an investigation aimed to examine the suitability of a WIG concept as a more cost effective transportation in the Indonesian archipelago. This work is unique in terms of application in the Indonesian archipelago. The paper describes the phenomenon of WIG and outlines the benefits and penalties of WIG. It then discusses the possibility of the application of WIG to NKRI. It concludes with a discussion of the results and recommendations for future work.

Abstract

Abstract

HR is the main factor that determines the life or death of an organization, both business and social organizations, HR planning is a science that has a specific object of study and is made a compulsory subject, both at the diploma, undergraduate, and postgraduate levels. activities carried out on an ongoing basis to improve employee competence and organizational performance through training, education, and career development programs. Human resource competency standards are the first door that must be passed by human resources who will be involved in the world of aviation to evaluate and analyze human resources development in the field of aircraft maintenance. The method in this study uses a qualitative approach using SWOT analysis which identifies opportunities and threats that exist in the macro environment and industry as well as the company's internal strengths and weaknesses. SWOT analysis stands for (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats). This study considers internal and external factors that can enhance or hinder a company's human resources function. Analysis of what a company can do to accelerate its transition from reactive to proactive mode to improve HR strategy and function. From the test results obtained strengths, namely the company has a Training Program for mechanics and engineers, Weaknesses, facilities are still incomplete, mechanics are not thorough in carrying out aircraft maintenance, Opportunities have good relationships with companies, companies that have mechanics and engineers who are still young have the opportunity to add new knowledge. Threats are that larger companies offer better facilities and guarantees, and companies find it difficult to find employees with the skills they need.

Abstract

The advancement of aviation technology and growing airspace demand have introduced the Higher Airspace Operation (HAO) concept, which manages airspace above FL550 (55,000 feet). Globally, regions like the United States and the European Union are developing regulatory and technological systems to integrate HAO into existing air traffic management. In contrast, Indonesia’s readiness remains limited due to the lack of specific regulations, infrastructure, and surveillance capabilities. This study assesses Indonesia’s preparedness to adopt HAO through a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) and expert interviews. Findings indicate the need for adaptive policies aligned with technological progress, improved communication, navigation, and surveillance systems, and comprehensive legal frameworks to support emerging airspace vehicles such as High-Altitude Platform Systems (HAPS), suborbital aircraft, and reentry vehicles. The research also proposes a dynamic, collaborative operational model suited to Indonesia’s unique geographical conditions and institutional environment.

Abstract

This study examines the legal liability of medical specialists who perform medical procedures beyond their scope of competence, resulting in patient morbidity or mortality. The issues analyzed include the essence of justice in the regulation of physician legal liability and the ideal formulation of legal policies in medical practice, particularly amidst the advancement of medical techniques. The research method employed is legal research using a socio-legal approach and explanatory specification. Data sources comprise primary and secondary legal materials, as well as empirical data in the form of complaints and decisions from the Indonesian Medical Discipline Honorary Council (MKDKI) that have attained legal finality, analyzed through descriptive qualitative methods. The results indicate that justice in physician legal liability must be understood as proportional justice, given the disparity in knowledge and authority within the therapeutic relationship between doctor and patient. Medical specialists may be held legally liable if proven to have committed competence violations, such as practicing beyond their authority, failing to refer patients, or providing inadequate medical care. This study emphasizes that physician legal liability is not solely based on the outcome, but rather on violations of professional standards, discipline, and the degree of negligence involved. Consequently, it is necessary to strengthen regulations and oversight mechanisms in medical practice to ensure patient safety and legal certainty for medical personnel.
