Abstract

Hole in the structure is often a serious problem, because the hole would trigger a surge in stress concentration which resulted cracks in the structure. In this research will analyze the stress concentration factor on isotropic plate with hole. The method used is numeric method. The technique used to collect data is the study of literature and comparative study of several similar research. Then the design is modeled and analyzed using Patran/Nastran. Based on this analysis the final result obtained is a mathematical equation that can be used to predict the stress concentration factor at the isotropic plate with hole where the results approached to Peterson distribution is used as reference in this research.

Abstract

Fuselage is an airplane main body structure designed for accommodating the crew, passengers, and cargo. The fuselage of a modern aircraft is a semi-monocoque construction. Semi-monocoque structure is very efficient, it has a high strength to weight ratio, and it has design flexibility and can withstand local failure without total failure through load redistribution. One of the loading on fuselage is cabin pressure. In continuous operation airplane due to cabin pressure, damage often occur in the fuselage, for example on the stringer. Type of repair to deal with cases of damage to stringer needs to be analyzed. This study aims to determine the effect of angle thickness and fastener variations on the strength of repair stringer structure. The analysis stage by 3D modeling with CATIA software. Simulation of structural analysis in the form stress and calculating the Margin of Safety.  The thicker of angle and the more number of fasteners in the web area and the flange used in the repair, the stress that occurs in each variation will decrease. Modeling the structure is safe against pressure loading.

Abstract

Peak hours or peak hours and when there is an Air Force plane that doing regular exercise. Untuk overcome this new airport Yogyakarta must be realized in order to fit with the capacity kebutuhannya.Kasus second, because the international airport Adisucipto a military-owned airports which are also used for commercial flights, then that becomes the top priority is owned aircraft Air Force. To  and separate from military activities. So that flight activities more effective and can reduce the factor late arrival due to late landing. The technical problem is usually the plane will experience a delay can not predict how long the delay time and this factor also can not be in perediksi when it will be a problem with the engine, fuselage, landing gear, etc. So Line Maintenance personnel in the field should always be alert and responsive when things are going according to the maintenance manual. And always conduct appropriate inspection check list.

Abstract

Finch (Lonchura) pest bird becomes a serious problem for rice-plant farmers when entering harvest period because it could make crop yields decreases or even crop failure. There are many method have been done for pest bird control but almost all of those are not effectives. Bird-like unmanned aerial vehicle is proposed as an alternative solution to control pest bird. The aim of this research is to do conceptual design of unmanned aerial vehicle which look like predator bird for pest bird control in farm area. The predator bird which means is black eagle (Ictinaetus Malaiensis) which is one of natural predators of small birds including finch family. Conceptual design of bird-like unmanned aerial vehicle follows general design process of aircraft with some simplification. Method of design adopt to Raymer’s method and sketching of black eagle planform especially wings and tail. The design results an unmanned aerial vehicle look like black eagle with cruise speed  is 10m/s and operational altitude 120m above sea level. From aerodynamics analysis shows that bird-like unmanned aerial vehicle which have designed fill lift requirement at angle of attack  3o and longitudinal static stability criteria.

Abstract

The aviation industry in Indonesia demands an increase in the reliability and safety of aircraft according to CASR 43 through maintenance activities. One of the maintenance aircraft carried out is maintenance on the Integrated Drive Generator (IDG) Air/Oil Cooler Boeing 737-800 aircraft. IDG Air/Oil Cooler functions to transfer heat energy. Maintenance is carried out by repairing or replacing components depending on the level of damage. The method used for the IDG Air/Oil Cooler repair policy is a Power Law Process with a Non-Homogeneous Poisson Process. This study obtained an Increasing Failure Rate (IFR) with an average usage age or Mean Time To Failure (MTTF) of 8180.228022 Flight Hours. By using a reliability reference value of 70%, it can be recommended preventive maintenance measures with an interval of 5000 Flight Hours with a better reliability effect than without preventive maintenance applied.

Abstract

This paper discusses the wedding tradition which has various versions in the process according to the culture and context in which the marriage is carried out. The wedding tradition in question is a series of processions leading to marriage. One of the unique wedding processions is the Bugis traditional wedding called Mapacci. This Mapacci tradition is interesting to study in relation to the perspective if it is seen from the difference in social stratification in its implementation between the nobility or ordinary people. This paper is studied using the theory of Semiotics of Charles Sanders Peirce, according to Peirce, human life is characterized by the mixing of signs and how they are used in representative activities. The social system is related to the integration function by controlling the components that make up society, finally the cultural system is related to the function of maintaining existing patterns or structures by setting up norms and values ​​that motivate them to take an action. The results of the study indicate that the meaning contained in the traditional mappacci process is a form of hope and prayer, for the welfare and happiness of the prospective bride and groom which is combined in a summary of words (mappacci) of 9 kinds of equipment that must be prepared and moved not only for the nobility but all the indigenous people of Bugis.

Abstract

Tulisan ini memaparkan realitas budaya pada masyarakat Bugis-Makassar dengan menggunakan teori Resepsi yang bertujuan melihat pembacaan terhadap teks yang berkembang dimasyarakat. Dengan menggunakan metode pendekatan Sosiologi pengetahuan Karl Mannheim. Penulis mecoba untuk menguak fakta atas berkembangnya sebuah tradisi yang didasari resepsi atau pembacaan masyarakat atas teks tertentu dengan menelusuri tiga unsur utama dari pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini, yaitu: Makna Objektif, Makna Ekspresif dan Makna Dokumenter. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah, 1) Makna Objektif semua masyarakat meyakini bahwa praktik mapacci tersebut merupakan suatu tradisi yang harus dijaga dan dilestarikan oleh masyarakat setempat agar tetap eksis karena merupakan tradisi yang telah diwarisi seara turun-temurun oleh para pendahulunya. 2) Makna Ekspresif masyarakat meyakini bahwa Upacara tradisi mapacci memiliki berbagai makna yang terkandung di dalam penggunaan alat-alat dalam prosesinya. 3) Makna Dokumenter pada dasarnya aktor atau pelaku tindakan tidak menyadari bahwa apa yang dilakukannya itu merupakan suatu ekspresi yang menunjukan kepada kebudayaan secara keseluruhan, apa yang mereka lakukan merupakan bagian dari makna induk yang melatarbelakangi semua hubungan sosial yang berlangsung.

Abstract

This paper attempts to describe the typology model of the Islamic movement that develops in Indonesia which is often classified by the observer, as the typology of moderate Islamic movements, critical idealists, accusatives, Islamic leftists, puritanical Islam, etc. So available typology classifications can help understand the existence of Wahdah Islamiyah’s hegemony of thought. In this case, Wahdah Islamiyah is included in a Puritanism movement, in its development, Wahdah Islamiyah seeks to transform the teachings of purification of Islamic Shariah into socio-political life. Next, to see how Wahdah Islamiyah is with the ideology of revivalism which at first refused to implement the single principle of Pancasila then adapted to the cycle of the political world in Indonesia which applies the single principle of Pancasila. Although it is stated that Wahdah Islamiyah is no longer an exclusive movement, its influence on exclusivity that is still very visible. In this context, Wahdah Islamiyah prefers to be a rational movement.

Abstract

Instalasi doubler dinyatakan aman di bawah Structural Repair Manual (SRM). Namun kemampuan menahan beban siklik tidak disebutkan secara eksplisit dalam SRM. Pembebanan siklik dapat menyebabkan kegagalan yang berhubungan dengan kelelahan. Penelitian ini didasarkan pada asumsi mekanika retak mode pembebanan II, dan analisis laju pertumbuhan retak dan siklus kelelahan dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode numerik MVCCI. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai laju pertumbuhan retakan terendah adalah panjang retakan 8,5 mm pada kondisi terbang 5000 ft, yaitu 5,045×10-14 mm/siklus, dan nilai tertinggi adalah panjang retakan 51 mm. Pada kondisi penerbangan 40.000 kaki, ini akan menjadi 1,762×10-10 mm/siklus.

Abstract

Exercise has become an essential necessity as its benefits in one's physical development have been widely recognized. In addition, regular exercise also makes a positive contribution to mental health by reducing stres levels. Aeromodelling is a type of educational exercise that can reduce stres. Even so, interest in the aerospace sport is still low due to a lack of understanding of its benefits. Through aeromodelling training, especially among students, participants are introduced to the basic concepts of flight. In addition to training creativity, these activities can improve participants' analytical skills, because they learn to design and test aircraft models to fly stable and long through thermodynamic calculations and other scientific approaches, so that physics education can also be absorbed in an applicative and fun way.
