Abstract

The research questions of this research were how does sentence outline improve the students of the second year of SMP Negeri 4 Sungguminasa ability to write paragraph? The researcher used A Classroom Action Research (CAR). The aims of this research are to find out the improvement of students’ writing skill and their activeness in learning process through Writing Process Approach. Two cycles had been conducted, where each cycle consisted of four meetings. It employed writing test as instrument. A number of subjects of the research were 42 students in the second grade conducted of 31 women and 11 men. The researcher took real data from the school to know the students’ writing ability. The results of the students writing test in cycle 1 and cycle 2 had increased in different scores.  There was increasing by students at the end action of second cycle. The research findings indicated that use of writing process approach could increase the students’ writing skill. The means scores of students in Diagnostic test was 59.84 became 66.64 in cycle 1, and after revision in the cycle 2 the mean score in cycle 2 was 70.79 by implemented of sentence outline. The successful of minimal criteria (KKM) was 65 while cycle 1, there were 2 (4.76%) students get poor, 27 (64.29%) get fair, and 13 (30.95%) get good meant that students who achieved the successful minimal criteria (KKM) more than a half of them. In cycle 2 there was 25 (59.52%) get fair and 17 (40.48%) get fair.Keyword: Sentence, outline, improve, ability.Pertanyaan penelitian pada penelitian ini adalah bagaimana kalimat garis meningkatkan kemampuan siswa SMP Negeri 4 Sungguminasa untuk menulis Paragrap. Peneliti menggunakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan menulis siswa dan keaktifan mereka dalam proses belajar melalui Pendekatan Menulis Proses. Dua siklus telah dilakukan, di mana setiap siklus terdiri dari empat pertemuan. Ini digunakan tes menulis sebagai instrumen. Sejumlah subyek penelitian adalah 42 siswa di kelas dua yang dilakukan dari 31 perempuan dan 11 laki-laki. Peneliti mengambil data ril dari sekolah untuk mengetahui kemampuan menulis siswa. Hasil tes menulis siswa pada siklus 1 dan siklus 2 meningkat dinilai yang berbeda. Ada meningkat siswa pada tindakan akhir siklus kedua. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan pendekatan proses menulis dapat meningkatkan kemampuan menulis siswa. Skor siswa dalam tes diagnostik adalah 59,84 menjadi 66,64 pada siklus 1, dan setelah revisi pada siklus 2 nilai rata-rata pada siklus 2 adalah 70,79 dengan menerapkan kalimat garis besar. Kriteria Keberhasilan Minimal (KKM) adalah 65 sedangkan siklus 1, ada 2 (4,76%) siswa mendapatkan kruang, 27 (64,29%) mendapatkan cukup, dan 13 (30,95%) mendapatkan baik berarti bahwa siswa yang mencapai Kriteria Keberhasilan Minimal (KKM) lebih dari setengah dari mereka. Dalam siklus 2 ada 25 (59,52%) mendapatkan cukup dan 17 (40,48%) mendapatkan cukup. Kata Kunci: Kalimat, garis besar, meningkatkan, kemampuan.

Abstract

This research aims to know the teachers’ perspective in teaching vocabulary by using story technique at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri 2 Enrekang. The research methodology of this research is descriptive qualitative. The technique of collecting data is interview, and record perspectives of the teachers about the using of story technique. Data analysis are transcribing, classifying and concluding. The result of this research found the good perspective of the teachers’ about using story technique in teaching vocabulary at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri 2 Enrekang, especially the used of story techniques really helped teachers in delivering learning material and helped students more easily understand the material presented in the learning process, Story techniques can arouse students' curiosity, instill good educational values for students and can develop students' imaginations. Story technique is often used for some purposes like improving the student’s understanding of the vocabulary material, creating a relaxing and exciting environment of learning and teaching, and creating a good interaction between the class member.

Abstract

The objective of this research is researcher conducted several indicators that in improving students' language and cultural awareness. The researcher used descriptive-quantitative research where the data gained from the questionnaires. The population of the research was the sixth semester of English Education FKIP Unismuh Makassar. The sample was taken by using purposive sampling technique there were 20 students.The result showed that mostly students perceived that reading novel can make it easier for students to understand language improvement and cultural awareness based on the values showed in table 4.11 is 5% disagree and 95% Partially agree to Strongly Agree in their daily activities. It means that, language improvement and cultural awareness of students can be increased through Reading English Novels.It was concluded that there was an improvement in students' writing skills related to content and organization writing skills in the use of tutorial video.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the types of assessments used by teacher in teaching English to grade nine at SMP Negeri 3 Mare Kab Bone and to determine the use of these assessments by teacher. This study used a qualitative method. The subjects of this study were English teacher at SMP Negeri 3 Mare. In analyzing the data, the researcher collected data from observation, interview, and gave questionnaire to teacher, and identified the types of assessment used by teacher in teaching English and how to use these assessments in teaching English. The results show that teacher use authentic assessment in teaching English. There are three types of assessment in teaching. These assessments are skills assessment, portfolio assessment, and project assessment and for project assessment the teacher does not use them in teaching activities because it takes longer time, so the teacher only gives assignments to students in the form of project assignments to be completed at home as project assignments. for the final exam The researcher concluded that the types of assessment used by the teacher in teaching English were skills assessment and project assessment on authentic assessment in teaching English at SMP Negeri 3 Mare.

Abstract

The Digital Era 5.0 is marked by the integration of artificial intelligence, technology personalization, and high connectivity in human life, including in the religious realm. This article discusses how social media can be a strategic tools in revitalizing the values ​​of ushuluddin which include aspects of monotheism, morality, and transcendental awareness. Using a qualitative approach through literature studies and critical discourse analysis, this article reveals that social media can be an interactive, participatory, and cross-generational preaching space. However, its use also presents challenges in the form of a flood of religious information, the spread of intolerant ideologies, and the reduction of the meaning of religious teachings due to symbolic commodification. Therefore, revitalizing the values ​​of ushuluddin on social media requires strong digital literacy, adaptive religious communication strategies, and active collaboration from religious figures, academics, and digital communities. These findings emphasize the importance of making social media not just a tools, but a new spiritual space that supports the development of people's religiosity in a contextual and transformative manner.

Abstract

In the Islamic perspective, piety is understood as a sincere commitment by an individual to practice religious teachings, both in personal devotion and social interaction. However, in practice, piety is often narrowly interpreted as ritualistic acts of worship. Alongside the dynamics of modern life, the concept of piety has evolved to become more comprehensive—encompassing not only spiritual connection with God but also social concern and meaningful contributions to the community. This study adopts a phenomenological approach to explore the meaning of piety as experienced in diverse social and cultural contexts. The findings reveal that piety today manifests not only through religious practices such as prayer, almsgiving, and charity, but also through the expression of Islamic values in digital spaces. Furthermore, Islamic educational institutions play a crucial role in shaping the religious character of the younger generation, enabling piety to be integrated into daily life. Thus, piety is positioned as a balance between vertical devotion to God and horizontal responsibility toward fellow human beings, particularly in multicultural societies.
