Abstract

The purpose of this study is to understand and analyze the role of BMT Mandiri Sejahtera Financing Productive for members welfare improvement. Method used in this study was descriptive qualitative approach with the case-study research. This research had analysis unit which were BMT Mandiri Sejahtera Financing Productive and welfare improvement of the members that received the financing activities.The result of this study was that the BMT Mandiri Sejahtera Financing Productive took role in improving the walfare of the members. Welfare was measured by using the 5 indicators of basic needs maintanance, based on maqashid syariah, which are the religion maintanance, life maintenance, upkeep sense, descendants maintenance, and property maintenance. The improvement of welfare experienced by the members were different. Generally, the walfare improvement of the members who received BMT Mandiri Sejahtera only happenedin several basic needs maintanance.

Abstract

People does consumption to fulfill their needs in order to keeping their life. There are guidelines in Islam telling how a Moslem is supposed to consumed. A Moslem needs a comprehensive understanding about Islamic consumption in order to adjust their consuming behaviour with Islamic syaria. The understanding causes an implication of Moslem consumer behaviour in daily life.This research uses case study method with descripive qualitative approach. Author uses interview for primary data collection in this research. The scope of this research is limited in student of Islamic Economics of Economics and Business Faculty of Airlangga University and answer how to implement Islamic consumption understanding in Moslem consumption behavior.The result of this research shows there are four elements of Islamic consumption which is used as a guideline for moslem while they do consumption, ie: halal products consumption, avoiding excessive consumption (israf), paying zakat, infaq, and charity, and making needs priority. The informen confess that there is a difference in their consuming behaviour beforeand after knowing the Islamic consumption theory.

Abstract

In order to fulfill the need of banking industry that grew rapidly, Bank Indonesia create several monetary instrument. One of them is Islamic Certificate of Bank Indonesia (SBIS). This research aims to investigate the effect of return rate of SBIS to investment in SBIS and also the profitability of sharia commercial banks in Indonesia. The research method used is path analysis with three kind of variables, which is SBIS’s return rate as exogenous variable, investment in SBIS as intervening endogenous variable, and the profitability as endogenousvariable.The result of this research shows that SBIS’s return rate effects significantly positive to the investment in SBIS, but effects unsignificantly negative to the probability of sharia commercial banks. Meanwhile investment in SBIS has non-significantly positive effect to the profitability of sharia commercial banks.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the factors that influence Students of Islamic Economics FEB UNAIR not motivated being a Zakat Organization’s employee.This research used quantitative methods through exploratory factor analysis. Characteristic of the population in this research are Students of Islamic Economics FEB UNAIR class 2010-2011 who following the active class. The number of samples at the time of pre eliminary test by conducting an interview written as many as 10 informants, and main test required 90 respondents. The sampling technique used is probability sampling. Sampling was done using simple random sampling.Based on the results of study indicate that there are four factors that influence Students of Islamic Economics FEB UNAIR. The four factors as a result of reduction of processing factor analysis. These four factors named by factor of the recognition, support by circles, Zakat Organization’s image, and informations about Zakat Organization.Advice for the are improves giving more informations about Zakat Organization’s needed employees. For academic side, can more improves more study about zakat management. Factor that formed in this study can also be made henceforth research materials to influence another variable, namely interest to work at Sharia Bank.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to know implementation of Sharia Strategic Manajemen in BMT. The research object is BMT Amanah Ummah Surabaya. The research method used in this research are qualitative research, case study, and domain analysis, taksonomy analysis and componensial analysis. By using data collection technique such as interviewing and observing primary informant (BMT Amanah Ummah Management) and secondary informant (Sharia Supervisory Council) for data validity.The result of this research is the BMT Amanah Ummah has applied steps of sharia strategic management very well. Those adjustments can be seen from the steps of sharia strategic management start from strategy formulating, strategy implementing, and strategy evaluating. The indicators of this research are the process of strategic management done by BMT Amanah Ummah adjusted to Fred R. David concept, and the sharia principals used for process of sharia strategic management adjusted to maqashid sharia.

Abstract

The research conducted to find out the effect of the number of Islamic bank-ing offices, finance to deposit ratio (FDR), and financing growth to the Is-lamic bank saturation level in Indonesia. The research used panel data analysis with fixed effect model (FEM) as its best estimation model. The re-sult of this research shows that number of Islamic banking offices, Financing Direct Ratio (FDR), and financing growth have a significant effect to the Is-lamic banking saturation simultaneously. Partially, only number of offices has a significant effect, but FDR and financing growth are not significant.Keywords: FDR, Financing Growth , Islamic Bank Saturation, And The Number Of Islamic Banking Offices.

Abstract

This present study aims to develop an alternative model of financing that address theproblems of waqf land financing in Malaysia, analyse the probability that waqf institutionwill use the proposed model and recommend policies to enhance the optimisation ofcrowdfunding for developing waqf land. This study focuses on potential donors in the fourstates in Malaysia, namely Pahang, Pulau Pinang, Selangor and Johor since these areas havesignificant waqf lands. The analysis is conducted using statistical analysis and logisticregression analysis. The study finds that there is a high probability of donors willing to usethe proposed model (CWM), particularly among non-married donors, females, low-middleincome donors, and those with more awareness of crowdfunding and waqf.
