Abstract

Civic Education and Pancasila (PKn) in higher education plays an important role in shaping the character of Indonesia's younger generation. However, with the rapid development of information and communication technology, PKn education faces new challenges in shaping the character of students, especially in the digital world. This study was conducted to explore the application of the Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) approach in PKn education, with the aim of fostering a digitally literate generation with strong character. The focus of this research is to analyze how SEL can enhance students' social and emotional skills and to examine its impact on character development in the digital age. This study employs a qualitative approach using a literature review method. Various relevant literature on the application of SEL in PKn education at universities was analyzed to identify existing patterns. The literature sources used include journal articles, books, and research reports discussing the application of SEL in character education and the challenges faced in its implementation at universities. The research findings indicate that the application of SEL in PKn education helps students manage their emotions, build healthy social relationships, and enhance their understanding of Pancasila values. SEL also improves students' ability to address digital challenges more wisely. The application of SEL in PKn education is effective in shaping students' emotional intelligence and preparing them to face challenges in the digital world.

Abstract

This study aims to understand how village heads apply prophetic leadership in building religious character in Panca Jaya District, Mesuji Regency, Lampung. To understand the phenomena in the field, the researcher uses a qualitative case study approach. The data collection technique is done through interviews, observation, and documentation. Since being in the field, the data analysis was conducted concerning the Milles and Huberman concept. The results showed that the prophetic leadership applied by the village head was displayed through humanist leadership through amar ma’ruf nahi munkar, liberation leadership, and transcendence leadership. This study implies the importance of leaders to have the ability to interact, communicate and socialize in carrying out a clear vision to gain the trust of the community.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine the problems and determine solutions to the problems of Islamic education. The results of the study and critical analysis concluded that the problems that occur in the world of Islamic education include moral decadence and the dichotomy of knowledge. The solution to the problems of Islamic education is to instill character values ​​and prevent the dichotomy of knowledge. The character values ​​are religious character values, religious attitudes and behaviors are attitudes and behaviors that are close to spiritual matters. Honesty is an attitude or behavior that is in accordance with words, thoughts, and actions, not lying, not cheating, and saying and acting honestly according to truth and facts. Tolerance forms students who have a sense of tolerance towards others. Hard work students need to be taught about the importance of hard work. Creativity is an ability to create something new, to provide new ideas that are applied in problem solving.
