Abstract

Waste management aims to improve public health and environmental quality and can convert waste into resources. Waste management is said to be good if the waste does not become a medium for the breeding of disease germs and does not become an intermediary for the spread of disease. The housewife is a central and very important figure in running life in the family. The women's empowerment program is directed at improving the quality of life of women and the active participation of women in society in preventing and controlling the impact of pollution as well as good and correct environmental management, especially in terms of waste management. This type of research includes a quasi-experiment using a one group pre-test and post-test design and the respondents in this research are housewives. The average knowledge analysis before being given education was 8.74% with a standard deviation of 1.450%. In terms of knowledge, the average obtained is 9.68% with a standard deviation of 2.143%. It can be seen that the mean value of the difference in knowledge before and after being given education is 0.943 with a standard deviation of 1.324. The statistical test results obtained a p-value of 0.000 so it can be concluded that there is a significant influence between knowledge before and after providing maternal education about waste management.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the effectiveness of internet of things (IoT) based sensor devices in increasing knowledge of monitoring the humidity of the physical environment in the homes of pulmonary TB sufferers. The research method used by Research and Development uses a quasi-experimental approach. The initial step was to test the normality of the data using the Shapiro-Wilk statistical test. It was found that the data was not normally distributed, so the statistical test used a non-parametric test, namely the Wilcoxon test. The p value will be considered significant if the p value <0.05. The results of the research show that the field test, a p value of 0.000 <0.05 was obtained, meaning that there was a difference in the average user knowledge score before the intervention was carried out and after the intervention was carried out. The research conclusion is that Internet of Things (IoT) based sensor devices have proven effective in increasing knowledge of monitoring the humidity of the physical environment in the homes of pulmonary TB sufferers. Abstract

This method is considered to provide the greatest benefits and is relatively easy to implement. One of them is by empowering the community through Community Self-Help Groups (KSM) in managing organic waste. Maggots or maggots are the larvae of the Black Soldier Fly (Hermetia Illucens, Stratimydae, Diptera) which is a family of flies, but the size of the BSF, known as the soldier fly, is longer and larger. Even though it is from the fly family, BSF does not transmit bacteria, diseases or even germs to humans. Like maggots, ecologically maggots are useful in the process of decomposing organic materials. Maggots eat vegetable and fruit waste, therefore maggots are very suitable for use in organic waste management. Even though it is made from organic waste, the fertilizer produced does not smell
