Abstract

AbstrakMasa remaja merupakan fase peralihan dari masa kanak-kanak menuju masadewasa, memberikan kesempatan untuk tumbuh tidak hanya dimensi fisik, tetapi juga dalamotonomi, harga diri, perilaku, kompetensi kognitif & sosial, biologis, dan keintiman (Feldman,2009). Adapun batasan usia remaja menurut Back (Santrok, 2003) adalah berusia antara12 tahun sampai 21 tahun, dengan pembagian 12-15 tahun remaja awal, 15-18 tahunremaja tengah dan 18-21 tahun remaja akhir. Feldman (2009) menyebutkan bahwa masaremaja penuh dengan kesempatan untuk pertumbuhan fisik, kognitif, dan psikososial, akantetapi juga berisiko terhadap kesehatan mental seperti konsumsi alkohol, pergaulan bebasdan aktivitas seksual serta perkelahian dengan senjata api, hal ini terjadi karena cerminandari belum matangnya pemikiran remaja.

Abstract

Kronggahan Hamlet Village Polengan District Srumbung Magelang is one of the producers of salak pondoh. How- ever, the problem in mobilizing the economic potential in the local village is the limited number of basket craftsmen to pack the salak harvest. The purpose of this activity is the guidance and assistance of basket making of salak among PKK Mothers with target area of  Kronggahan Hamlet. Methods of this activity include 1) conducting FGDs with local officials; 2) conducting counseling and short demonstration of bamboo shoot baskets; 3) training and mentoring; 4) equipment facilitation; and 5) monitoring and evaluation. The result of the activity is to provide knowledge and training of basket making; informing local officials that people in Srumbung, especially Kronggahan Hamlet need a tool or machine irat (bamboo). Problems in the implementation of basket making activities such as mentoring time is too short; the aid of tools is still limited to manual machines; and the community has not understood the making of baskets until the finishing level. Therefore, the local government needs to prioritize the bottom-up principle of all kinds of assistance as well as programs and continuous mentoring related to the making of baskets massively and intensively to the community. Keywords: PKK group, basket of salak.

Abstract

The purpose of this program is to change the adolescent mindset as well as improve the future orientation of youth in education. Furthermore, the community is expected to have awareness to run its the role as a support system in improving the future orientation of adolescents. The method of implementation of this program is empowering community psychology approach implemented through several stages, namely providing group counseling and motivation to adolescents, counseling to improve the participation of parents and teachers in improving the future orientation of adolescents. Parents tales of psycho education about educating teenagers, the importance of continu-ing adolescent education and improving parental patterns of concern about adolescents who find it difficult to get a mate. To the group of teachers given counseling effective communication with adolescents. The result of this assistance is the emergence of awareness of students (adolescents) to continue education to a higher level such as high school or vocational school by 85% from the previous only 40 %, while those who have motivation to continue education to college increased 10% from 0 %. Teenagers are still worried about getting children’s labels unsold by the public, but have started to decrease. Parents begin to have an awareness of the importance of their role in the future of their teenagers. Teachers gain insight and discover new methods of effective communication with adoles-cents. Key word: Community Psychology, teens, Future Orientation

Abstract

Abstract: Adolescence is a transitional period filled with pressure and stress, a turbulent period filled with conflict and mood swings where the role of the family for adolescents is very important in shaping their personality so that they will not commit deviant acts. This study is aimed at knowing the effect of parent-adolescent communication on pathological internet use. The research employed quantitative method using simple regression analysis. The research subjects were the students of Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta aged 18-21 years. The results of this study based on the coefficient table show a significant value of 0.000 <0.05 which means that there is an effect of variable X (parent-adolescent communication) on variable Y (pathological internet use). For the coefficient of determination value (R Square), it is 58.5%. Meanwhile, the most significant aspect of communication on pathological internet use is communication is a fun thing amounted to 54.8%. It is concluded that parent-adolescent communication has an effect on pathological internet use of the adolescents at Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta.

Abstract

Penggunaan kekuatan untuk menyakiti seseorang atau sekelompok orang secara verbal, fisik, atau psikologis dikenal sebagai perundungan. Perundungan sendiri dapat menyebabkan gangguan kesehatan mental dan fisik. Kasus perundungan atau juga kerap disebut dengan bullying yang terjadi di kalangan pelajar, tentu menjadi tugas utama bagi pendidik di sekolah bekerjasama dengan orang tua di rumah. Kasus perundungan pada lembaga Pendidikan tidak terkecuali terjadi pada sekolah dasar di Kapanewon Turi Kabupaten Sleman, salah satunya di SD Muhammadiyah Dadapan. Fokus pelatihan pada program pengabdian masyarakat (PPM) ini adalah pada peningkatan wawasan terkait perundungan, mulai dari definisi, dampak, dan upaya pencegahannya. Adapun metode yang dilakukan yaitu: 1) mengadakan koordinasi, sosialisasi, dan FGD dengan mitra; 2) workshop terkait upaya pencegahan tindakan perundungan di lingkungan sekolah sekaligus pengenalan akan perundungan dan dampaknya kepada siswa melalui metode berkisah; 3) pendampingan dalam pelaksanaan program menggunakan pendekatan community development partisipatif; 4) difusi Ipteks dengan model sosial training berbasis teknologi; serta 5) monitoring dan evaluasi program. Hasil dari PPM ini ialah: a) adanya komunikasi secara terbuka antara wali siswa dan pihak sekolah untuk bersama-sama mengantisipasi tindak perundungan antar siswa di lingkungan sekolah; b) pihak sekolah sudah berupaya semaksimal mungkin untuk menekan jumlah perilaku perundungan dengan mulai menyusun prosedur alur penanganan dan pencegahan perundungan di lingkungan sekolah; c) edukasi lanjutan terkait pendampingan penggunaan gadget secara bijak bagi orang tua terhadap anak; d) inisiasi program kerjasama dengan psikolog puskesmas untuk mengantisipasi tindak perundungan di masa yang akan datang. Kegiatan PPM ini menuai respon positif dari para penerima edukasi, baik siswa, guru, maupun orang tua.

Abstract

This study investigates the application of the dhikr method as an intervention to restore mental health among individuals recovering from substance addiction at the Pondok Tetirah Dhikr Rehabilitation Center in Yogyakarta. Employing a qualitative research design, the study engaged four participants, utilizing data collection techniques that included observation, interviews, and document analysis. The data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman framework, which comprises data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. Data credibility was ensured through triangulation techniques. The findings reveal that addressing mental health challenges in individuals with substance addiction involves the structured application of dhikr practices. Two specific forms of dhikr are implemented: dhikr jahri, which involves vocal recitation of the phrase la ilaha illallah, and dhikr khafi, characterized by silent remembrance of Allah in the heart. Participants reported significant positive changes, including increased emotional tranquility, cessation of drug use, and the absence of self-harming or aggressive behaviors. The transformative effects of these practices highlight the role of spiritual engagement in mitigating mental health disorders. Moreover, the peace experienced by the participants signifies a reduction in the psychological distress they faced upon admission to the rehabilitation center. The study underscores the importance of integrating spiritual practices, such as dhikr, within the broader framework of mental health interventions for individuals recovering from substance addiction.

Abstract

This study examines the impact of toxic relationships on the self-esteem of students who are victims of dating violence. This study is important to conduct because our society is mostly only concerned with violence that is within the scope of legitimate bonds such as domestic violence but is still unfamiliar with violence against in dating relationships. Students were chosen by researchers to be the objects of this study because students are considered educated people, but in fact not many students know about the forms of violence in dating, even unknowingly becoming victims of such violence. Therefore, violence in dating relationships is very important to study as a form of concern and to provide information to young couples (students) so that they do not get caught in toxic relationships. With a qualitative-descriptive approach based on case studies, data were obtained through semi-structured interviews, unstructured observations, and documentation. Subjects experienced toxic relationships in the form of emotional violence (verbal abuse, dominance, possessiveness) and psychological manipulation (gaslighting, guilt-tripping, love-bombing). The impacts include loss of self-control, low self-acceptance, self-harming behavior, and doubt in decision making. These findings indicate the importance of psychological interventions to restore the self-esteem of victims of dating violence and to increase awareness of the dangers of toxic relationships among students.

Abstract

Human are social creatures created with emotions and feelings. It is difficult for human not to use emotions in everyday life. Therefore, regulating emotions is necessary and the role of counselors in training emotional regulation in adolescents is also needed at the Family Learning Center (PUSPAGA) Sleman. The purpose of this study is to describe adolescent emotions, to identify how counselors train adolescent emotional regulation, to find out emotional changes in adolescents after counseling, and to find out the role of counselors in training adolescent emotional regulation at the Family Learning Center Sleman.  This research applied qualitative research approach with data collection techniques using observation, interviews, and documentation. The subjects of this study were four people consisting of two counselors of PUSPAGA, a teenager, and the Head of PUSPAGA.  This study results indicate that: first, the emotional description of adolescents at the Family Learning Center (PUSPAGA) initially shows negative emotions such as sadness, anxiety, fear, and so on. Second, the counselors play a role in training emotional regulation skills in adolescents by applying breathing relaxation and imagery relaxation methods. Third, the changes in adolescent emotions at the Family Learning Center (PUSPAGA) after counseling are identified. It is shown that the adolescents are able to manage their emotions to be more positive, such as being happier, more cheerful, less anxious, and less afraid. Fourth, the roles of counselors at the Family Learning Center (PUSPAGA) in training adolescent emotional regulation shown are conducting assessments, conducting counseling processes, and monitoring.

Abstract

Orang tua anak berkebutuhan khusus di SLB Muhammadiyah Gamping mengalami kesulitan dalam menerima kondisi yang dialami oleh anaknya. Orang tua juga mengalami kecemasan dan kekhawatiran sehingga muncul persepsi negatif mengenai masa depan anaknya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh religiusitas terhadap kesejahteraan psikologis orang tua anak berkebutuhan khusus. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah orang tua siswa SLB Muhammadiyah Gamping sebanyak 40 orang tua siswa Sehingga dalam penelitian ini semua populasi menjadi sampel. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah regresi linier sederhana. Hasil yang ditemukan dalam penelitian ini adalah: (1) gambaran religiusitas orang tua anak berkebutuhan khusus di SLB Muhammadiyah Gamping berada pada kategori sedang, (2) gambaran kesejahteraan psikologis orang tua anak berkebutuhan khusus di SLB Muhammadiyah Gamping berada pada kategori sedang, (3) terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara religiusitas terhadap kesejahteraan psikologis orang tua anak berkebutuhan khusus di SLB Muhammadiyah Gamping dengan nilai sebesar 13,4%, artinya pengaruh religiusitas terhadap kesejahteraan psikologis orang tua anak berkebutuhan khusus di SLB Muhammadiyah Gamping sebesar 13,4% sementara sisanya dipengaruhi oleh variabel lain yang tidak dibahas dalam penelitian ini.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji efektivitas pelatihan bersyukur dalam meningkatkan kualitas hidup (quality of life) pada remaja. Quality of life yang rendah pada remaja sering kali disebabkan oleh tantangan psikologis, fisik, sosial, dan lingkungan yang mereka hadapi. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain One-Group Pretest-Posttest. Subjek adalah lima siswa SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Bantul yang dipilih berdasarkan kriteria quality of life rendah hingga sedang. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji Wilcoxon dan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan dalam kualitas hidup siswa setelah pelatihan bersyukur. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa pelatihan bersyukur dapat menjadi intervensi efektif untuk meningkatkan kesejahteraan fisik, psikologis, sosial, dan hubungan lingkungan pada remaja.
