Abstract

The use of smartphones in the STIBA Makassar environment has the potential to cause students to tend to behave defiantly, especially in aspects of the Sharia and its practice, and is not in line with what is expected. With concerns about this potential, regulations limiting the use of smartphones have been established as an Islamic social control so that guidance in the STIBA Makassar environment can run as expected and be able to direct students to maintain their behavior in life. This research was conducted with the objectives, namely to analyze the influence of regulations limiting the use of smartphones as Islamic social control on overcoming student behavior at STIBA Makassar. This research uses primary data through questionnaires and a quantitative approach through Descriptive Statistics techniques, and component or variant-based Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) with Partial Least Square (PLS). The results of the research show that the Regulations Restricting the Use of Smartphones as Islamic social control have a positive and significant influence on the Management of Student Behavior, which means that the higher the quality of the implementation of the Regulations Restricting the Use of Smartphones, the higher the quality of the Management of Student Behavior.

Abstract

This study aims to measure students' perceptions of the smartphone usage restriction policy implemented by the campus. The research employs a quantitative approach with a survey method and is analyzed using descriptive statistical techniques. The findings indicate that the majority of students hold a positive view of the policy, with most respondents agreeing that it helps them maintain discipline, stay focused on their studies, reduce time spent on less productive activities such as gaming and social media, and enhance their interaction with the campus environment. The policy is also considered effective in supporting better character development among students. The implications of these findings suggest that smartphone usage restrictions can be an effective tool for improving the quality of education and character formation in higher education settings.

Abstract

Subjek adalah lima siswa SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Bantul yang dipilih berdasarkan kriteria quality of life rendah hingga sedang.

Abstract

The use of smartphones in the STIBA Makassar environment has the potential to cause students to tend to behave deviantly, especially in aspects of the Shari'a and its practice. With concerns about this potential, regulations limiting the use of smartphones have been established as an Islamic social control so that guidance in the STIBA Makassar environment can run as expected and be able to direct students to maintain their behavior in life. This research was conducted with the aim of analyzing the effectiveness of regulations limiting the use of smartphones in controlling student behavior at STIBA Makassar. This research uses primary data through questionnaires and a quantitative approach through descriptive statistics techniques and difference tests (paired sample t-test). The results of the research show that, in general, there has been a decrease in the frequency of smartphone use for deviant behavior. This can also be seen in the increase in the frequency level of "Never", which means that more and more students never use smartphones for deviant behavior again after the regulation was implemented. Statistically, the implemented Smartphone Use Restriction Regulations have proven to be significantly successful and effective in dealing with student behavior at STIBA Makassar.

Abstract

Mangroves play an important role in carbon storage and absorption. Mangrove ecosystems absorb carbon dioxide from the atmosphere through photosynthesis, converting it into biomass. Mangroves can store up to four times more carbon per unit area than tropical forests. This study aims to determine the density, stem diameter, basal area of mangroves, biomass, content, and the ability of mangroves to absorb carbon in the air. The method used is the calculation of several ecological indices. While the carbon content and absorption use the allometric method to determine the biomass of mangrove species. Furthermore, the calculation of carbon content and carbon absorption capacity. The average density of mangroves obtained ranges from 0.24-0.55 ind / m2, while the average DBH is between 6.86-16.10 cm and the average basal area is 36.94-203.48 m2. The average biomass of mangrove trees is 13,311-98,752 kg / tree or 288,885 ± 96,957 tons / ha. The average carbon content is6,256-46,414 kg/tree or 107,576±45,570 tons/ha. The carbon absorption capacity of the coastal mangrove forests of North Sinjai is an average of 22,961-170,338 kg/tree or 394,803±167,241 tons/ha. Mangroves are one of the key components in climate change mitigation. Conservation and restoration of mangrove ecosystems are important strategies in efforts to mitigate global climate change and improve the sustainability of coastal environmental ecosystems.

Abstract

Mangrove forests are one of the coastal ecosystems of tropical waters that have various potential benefits for both the environment and humans. The existence of mangrove forests is very necessary for the future of the earth. Mangrove forests have one very important function, namely as an absorber and store of carbon (C). Mangrove forests can store more than three times the average carbon storage per hectare by tropical land forests. This study aims to determine the carbon content and carbon absorption in leaves, roots and soil on the mangrove coast, especially in North Sinjai, Sinjai Regency. The method used in this study is the sampling method to measure the carbon content in leaves, roots and soil. The analysis will involve direct measurements in the field and laboratory analysis to obtain accurate data. The carbon content in mangrove leaves ranges from 0.9-0.11 tons/ha, with a carbon absorption capacity of 0.33-0.42 tons/ha. In the roots, the carbon content ranges from 0.44-0.72 tons/ha with an absorption capacity of 1.60-2.64 tons/ha. The carbon content in the soil ranges from 8.66-156.83 tons/ha with an absorption capacity of 31.79-575.55 tons/ha. This study can be used as basic data in future policies for climate change mitigation, especially the mangrove ecosystem in Sinjai Regency, South Sulawesi Province and can open up opportunities for carbon-based economic schemes such as carbon trading.
