Abstract

Kronggahan Hamlet Village Polengan District Srumbung Magelang is one of the producers of salak pondoh. How- ever, the problem in mobilizing the economic potential in the local village is the limited number of basket craftsmen to pack the salak harvest. The purpose of this activity is the guidance and assistance of basket making of salak among PKK Mothers with target area of  Kronggahan Hamlet. Methods of this activity include 1) conducting FGDs with local officials; 2) conducting counseling and short demonstration of bamboo shoot baskets; 3) training and mentoring; 4) equipment facilitation; and 5) monitoring and evaluation. The result of the activity is to provide knowledge and training of basket making; informing local officials that people in Srumbung, especially Kronggahan Hamlet need a tool or machine irat (bamboo). Problems in the implementation of basket making activities such as mentoring time is too short; the aid of tools is still limited to manual machines; and the community has not understood the making of baskets until the finishing level. Therefore, the local government needs to prioritize the bottom-up principle of all kinds of assistance as well as programs and continuous mentoring related to the making of baskets massively and intensively to the community. Keywords: PKK group, basket of salak.

Abstract

A healthy environment is a basic human need and a right for everyone. Muhammadiyah has a commitment to the environment, clean living and healthy education through the process of character education, but the results are not optimal. One of the solutions offered is the Muhammadiyah Green School (MGS) program. This service program is carried out to improve the insight and skills of SMP Muhammadiyah Turi in running MGS and preparing policies for implementing MGS. Community service was carried out using a community development and participatory approach, with several methods, namely community education, training, diffusion of science and technology and consultation. The MGS program at SMP Muhammadiyah Turi has been implemented through a green curriculum, green community, and green school, and green culture. Green curriculum was carried out through the integration of good values ​​and care for the environment in subjects, local content about the environment, as well as HW scouting extracurriculars. The green community was developed by forming MGS cadres, student guardian associations to take part in the MGS program, as well as forming student picket teams. Green school is carried out by managing school resources with “tabulampot” of rare plants, verticulture, painting school facilities, and so on. Green culture with the “kurasaki” program, enforcement of school rules, “clean operations”, and the installation of banners for environmental campaigns. With mentoring by teachers and guidance by the task force team, MGS at SMP Muhammadiyah Turi can create a more conducive environment for academic and social interactions, become a medium for character education, and provide fulfillment of the right to a clean and healthy environment.

Abstract

This paper aims to analyze Islamic education model with multiple intelligences approach developed by munif chatib perspective. This study analyzes the relevant literature. Data collection was done by analyzing the books of Munif Chatib, interviews, journals and collect data from other relevant sources. As a result: Firstly, the design concept of Multiple Intelligences by Munif Chatib, globally covering three important stages, namely: input, process and output. At the input stage, using the Multiple Intelligences Research in the acceptance of new students. The second stage is the learning process, style teaching teachers equal to the force student learning. In the output stage, the assessment of multiple intelligences based learning is using authentic assessment. Second, multiple intelligence based education relevant applied in Islamic education both micro and macro.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the effectiveness of the implementation of the mind mapping method in learning Tarikh Education. This type of research is class action research that is applied to the subject of Date Education for class X students of SMA Muhammadiyah 5 Yogyakarta. Data collection techniques are carried out by observation, interview, and documentation methods. Meanwhile, data analysis is carried out through three stages of activities that occur simultaneously, namely: data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions / verification. The results of the study showed that the implementation of the mind mapping method in the learning of Tarikh Education at SMA Muhammadiyah 5 Yogyakarta had a positive impact on students and teachers. Judging from the increase in shiva's understanding and enthusiasm in participating in learning. The conclusion of this study is that the mind mapping method is effective to be implemented in the learning of Tarikh Education at SMA Muhammadiyah 5 Yogyakarta.

Abstract

Penggunaan kekuatan untuk menyakiti seseorang atau sekelompok orang secara verbal, fisik, atau psikologis dikenal sebagai perundungan. Perundungan sendiri dapat menyebabkan gangguan kesehatan mental dan fisik. Kasus perundungan atau juga kerap disebut dengan bullying yang terjadi di kalangan pelajar, tentu menjadi tugas utama bagi pendidik di sekolah bekerjasama dengan orang tua di rumah. Kasus perundungan pada lembaga Pendidikan tidak terkecuali terjadi pada sekolah dasar di Kapanewon Turi Kabupaten Sleman, salah satunya di SD Muhammadiyah Dadapan. Fokus pelatihan pada program pengabdian masyarakat (PPM) ini adalah pada peningkatan wawasan terkait perundungan, mulai dari definisi, dampak, dan upaya pencegahannya. Adapun metode yang dilakukan yaitu: 1) mengadakan koordinasi, sosialisasi, dan FGD dengan mitra; 2) workshop terkait upaya pencegahan tindakan perundungan di lingkungan sekolah sekaligus pengenalan akan perundungan dan dampaknya kepada siswa melalui metode berkisah; 3) pendampingan dalam pelaksanaan program menggunakan pendekatan community development partisipatif; 4) difusi Ipteks dengan model sosial training berbasis teknologi; serta 5) monitoring dan evaluasi program. Hasil dari PPM ini ialah: a) adanya komunikasi secara terbuka antara wali siswa dan pihak sekolah untuk bersama-sama mengantisipasi tindak perundungan antar siswa di lingkungan sekolah; b) pihak sekolah sudah berupaya semaksimal mungkin untuk menekan jumlah perilaku perundungan dengan mulai menyusun prosedur alur penanganan dan pencegahan perundungan di lingkungan sekolah; c) edukasi lanjutan terkait pendampingan penggunaan gadget secara bijak bagi orang tua terhadap anak; d) inisiasi program kerjasama dengan psikolog puskesmas untuk mengantisipasi tindak perundungan di masa yang akan datang. Kegiatan PPM ini menuai respon positif dari para penerima edukasi, baik siswa, guru, maupun orang tua.

Abstract

This article aims to discuss the implementation of multicultural education through religious education in schools, especially in the digital era. To reach this research, the relevant literature has been carried out. As a result, Islamic Education is a forum to provide a religious understanding that is inclusive of the community which is ultimately expected to contribute to the formation of a multicultural society with a harmonious life. Multicultural education involves at least three things, namely: a) ideas and awareness of the importance of cultural diversity, b) educational reform movement, and c) process. The learning system of Islamic Education that has multicultural insight should be done by integrating multicultural insights with existing Islamic Education material. The involvement of principals and the government is also needed in providing debriefing or training and the like. The method used must also be packaged in such a way as to condition students to interact with each other in harmony. Likewise, the evaluation process carried out must be based on the principle of fairness objectively rather than subjective certain groups.

Abstract

This article aims to investigate how dialogic pedagogy was practiced while punitive approaches were dominant towards students who violated school rules as well as the student code of conduct. Previous studies primarily focused on the extent of effectiveness or the influential factors for students to comply with as well as violate student code of conduct. On the other hand, this writing highlights the importance of dialogic practices in school environments. As a case study, this study investigated two senior high schools, that is the public and private schools in Yogyakarta municipality. Through the documentary and interview analysis, the study found that even if the student code of conduct was punitive approach-based, it contains the potential for school practitioners to develop communications or dialogues, for example, between school practitioners themselves; and between school practitioners (school leaders and educators) and parents; and between school practitioners and students. More importantly, several school leaders and educators emphasized how dialogues could be practiced with students considered as the offenders of the school rules. This article concludes that empathetic and critical dialogues seem to be an alternative of student discipline enforcement, which has been largely practiced through the school rules.

Abstract

Digital technology has transformed how individuals acquire information, including in religious education. TikTok, one of the most popular social media platforms, is increasingly used as a medium for Islamic Religious Education (PAI). This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of TikTok in enhancing students’ understanding and application of Islamic values during online learning, with a specific focus on content delivered by Ustaz Irfan Rizki Haas. In this context, Although not officially mandated by schools, TikTok functions as a supplementary resource, utilized by teachers and accessed independently by students as part of their online Islamic religious education, Ustaz Irfan Rizki Haas, a well-known digital preacher with over 2.4 million followers. His unique approach to digital da'wah, characterized by engaging storytelling, emotional delivery, and contextual relevance, positions him as a central figure in this study. A descriptive quantitative method was employed, involving an online survey of 100 junior and senior high school students in Indonesia who actively engage with religious content on TikTok, particularly from Ustaz Irfan. The results indicate that 88% of respondents felt more motivated to learn about Islam, 87% reported an improvement in applying Islamic values in daily life, and 85% found themselves better able to distinguish between valid and misleading religious information. While TikTok demonstrates considerable potential as an innovative medium for Islamic learning, concerns remain regarding content credibility. Therefore, the involvement of educators and religious scholars is essential to guide students in critically engaging with accurate religious information. This study highlights TikTok’s role not only as a digital da'wah medium but also as a strategic tool in modern Islamic education, with Ustaz Irfan Rizki Haas serving as an influential role model. Future research is encouraged to explore the long-term impact of TikTok on Islamic religious education among students and to develop systematic content moderation strategies to ensure the quality and integrity of educational content delivered through the platform.

Abstract

The rapid development of technology has a major influence on the characteristics of Generation Alpha, which was born and grew up in the digital era. This generation has a different learning style compared to previous generations, which impacts the effectiveness of implementing Islamic Religious Education at school. This study aims to analyze the influence of Generation Alpha characteristics on the effectiveness of the implementation of Islamic Religious Education at SMP Muhammadiyah 3 Yogyakarta. The research method used is a quantitative approach with a survey using a questionnaire as the main instrument and interviews as an additional instrument. Data were collected through questionnaires given to 100 7th-grade students as a representation of Generation Alpha. Data analysis was conducted using the Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) method to examine the relationship between the characteristics of Generation Alpha and the effectiveness of Islamic Religious Education implementation. The results showed that the characteristics of Generation Alpha, which are closely related to digital technology, positively influence the effectiveness of the implementation of Islamic Religious Education. Students understand the material more easily when delivered with interactive digital-based learning methods. Teachers also adapt to technology in learning to increase student engagement. Nonetheless, challenges in maintaining student focus remain, especially in optimizing the use of technology to remain relevant to the objectives of religious education. Implementing digital-based learning methods can increase the effectiveness of Islamic Religious Education for Generation Alpha. Therefore, there is a need for continuous innovation in teaching methods to suit this generation's characteristics and instill religious values optimally. Abstrak Perkembangan teknologi yang pesat membawa pengaruh besar terhadap karakteristik Generasi Alpha yang lahir dan tumbuh dalam era digital. Generasi ini memiliki gaya belajar yang berbeda dibandingkan generasi sebelumnya, yang berdampak pada efektivitas implementasi Pendidikan Agama Islam di sekolah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh karakteristik Generasi Alpha terhadap efektivitas implementasi Pendidikan Agama Islam di SMP Muhammadiyah 3 Yogyakarta. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kuantitatif dengan survei menggunakan kuesioner sebagai instrumen utama serta wawancara sebagai instrumen tambahan. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner yang diberikan kepada 100 siswa kelas 7 sebagai representasi Generasi Alpha. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan metode Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) untuk menguji hubungan antara karakteristik Generasi Alpha dan efektivitas implementasi Pendidikan Agama Islam. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa karakteristik Generasi Alpha yang erat dengan teknologi digital berpengaruh positif terhadap efektivitas implementasi Pendidikan Agama Islam. Siswa lebih mudah memahami materi ketika disampaikan dengan metode pembelajaran berbasis digital yang interaktif. Guru juga beradaptasi dengan penggunaan teknologi dalam pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan keterlibatan siswa. Meskipun demikian, tantangan dalam menjaga fokus siswa tetap ada, terutama dalam mengoptimalkan penggunaan teknologi agar tetap relevan dengan tujuan pendidikan agama. Penerapan metode pembelajaran berbasis digital dapat meningkatkan efektivitas Pendidikan Agama Islam bagi Generasi Alpha. Oleh karena itu, perlu adanya inovasi berkelanjutan dalam metode pengajaran agar sesuai dengan karakteristik generasi ini dan mampu menanamkan nilai-nilai agama secara optimal.

Abstract

This research analyzes the importance of fostering positive character development in Generation Z and Alpha growing up in a transformative digital ecosystem. The contemporary socio-technological dynamics have resulted in significant changes in the construction of identity, interaction patterns, and value orientations of both generations, creating challenges and opportunities in the character education process. Islamic Religious Education (PAI) provides an epistemological and methodological foundation based on tawhid to build strong personal integrity through the application of prophetic learning strategies inspired by the prophetic biography, including uswatun hasanah, ta'widiyah, and ta'ziz al-qiyam. Comparative analysis shows that the distinctive characteristics of both generations require a pedagogical approach that is adaptive, contextual, and integrated within the digital ecosystem, taking into account their visual-experiential learning preferences and collaborative orientation. This study concludes that the tri-central synergy of education is crucial in creating a coherent educational environment. Furthermore, the development of transformative learning models that integrate Islamic values with 21st-century competencies is necessary to produce resilient, integrity-driven Muslim generations capable of making constructive contributions in a global context, without compromising their Islamic identity. Abstrak Penelitian ini menganalisis pentingnya pembentukan karakter positif pada Generasi Z dan Alpha yang berkembang dalam ekosistem digital yang transformatif. Dinamika sosio-teknologis kontemporer telah mengakibatkan perubahan signifikan dalam konstruksi identitas, pola interaksi, dan orientasi nilai kedua generasi, menciptakan tantangan dan peluang dalam proses pendidikan karakter. Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) menyediakan dasar epistemologis dan metodologis yang berlandaskan tauhid untuk membangun integritas pribadi yang kuat melalui penerapan strategi pembelajaran profetik yang terinspirasi oleh sirah nabawiyah, termasuk uswatun hasanah, ta'widiyah, dan ta'ziz al-qiyam. Analisis komparatif menunjukkan bahwa karakteristik distingtif kedua generasi memerlukan pendekatan pedagogis yang adaptif, kontekstual, dan terintegrasi dalam ekosistem digital, dengan mempertimbangkan preferensi belajar visual-eksperiensial serta orientasi kolaboratif mereka. Studi ini menyimpulkan bahwa sinergi tri-sentral pendidikan sangat penting dalam menciptakan lingkungan edukatif yang koheren. Selain itu, pengembangan model pembelajaran transformatif yang mengintegrasikan nilai-nilai keislaman dengan kompetensi abad ke-21 diperlukan untuk menghasilkan generasi Muslim yang resilien, berintegritas, dan mampu memberikan kontribusi konstruktif dalam konteks global, tanpa mengurangi identitas keislamannya.
