Abstract

Mie Karanganyar MSME is a business engaged in the production of noodles and wonton wrappers, where the dough mixing process is still carried out manually. This process requires approximately 34.5 minutes to mix 30 kg of dough, often resulting in production delays, employee overtime, and reduced work productivity. This study aims to design an ergonomic dough mixer for noodle and wonton wrapper production using an anthropometric approach to improve production efficiency. The anthropometric measurements used include standing elbow height, shoulder width, waist height, and forward reach as the basis for determining the machine dimensions. The design resulted in a machine with a height of 96.2 cm, a length of 133.21 cm, and a width of 65.6 cm, which are compatible with the operator’s body dimensions, thereby improving comfort and safety during operation. The manufacturing cost of the machine was Rp. 6,015,000. The implementation of the dough mixer significantly reduced the mixing time from 34.5 minutes to 15.7 minutes. The machine also increased production capacity, reduced the need for overtime work, and lowered production costs from Rp. 6,015,000 to Rp3,208,664, resulting in a cost saving of Rp. 2,806,336. Therefore, the proposed machine can improve work efficiency, productivity, and the competitiveness of Mie Karanganyar MSME.

Abstract

The procurement of goods and services by the Government is essential for enhancing development, optimizing public services, and boosting economic growth in Indonesia, with significant expenditures reflected in the General Procurement Plan (RUP) amounting to Rp1,226.7 trillion nationally and Rp2,205 trillion in 2023. In this context, construction service providers are vital for implementing construction projects, which encompass planning, execution, and supervision across various disciplines. The electronic procurement service (LPSE) platform is one of the key platforms in the procurement process, ensuring transparency, accountability, and competition, while also identifying barriers faced by new suppliers, thereby suggesting areas for improvement in usability and accessibility. This study focuses on the implementation of road work package construction tenders in the Sidoarjo Regency area using the LPSE platform, covering the selection preparation, bid evaluation, winner determination, and work implementation processes, along with any problems encountered at each stage. The study also underscores the platform's suitability for large-scale construction project packages, reinforcing its strategic application in high-stakes environments, and utilizes up-to-date data from the 2023 and 2024 budget years.

Abstract

Yos Sudarso Road in Baubau City is a major urban corridor that has experienced a decline in traffic performance due to intensive activities in commercial, tourism, and port areas, resulting in high side friction caused by on-street parking and vehicle maneuvering. These conditions reduce the effective road capacity and degrade the level of service. This study aims to estimate the cost required to improve road performance as a basis for practical and applicable traffic management recommendations. The research employs a quantitative approach by identifying improvement alternatives, calculating work volumes, and estimating costs based on the 2022 Indonesian Public Works Unit Price Analysis (Analisa Harga Satuan Pekerjaan, AHSP) for Road and Bridge Works and the 2024 Baubau City Standard Unit Cost (Harga Satuan Pokok Kegiatan, HSPK). The results indicate that traffic management measures in the form of one-side on-street parking arrangement and installation of no-parking traffic signs require a total cost of IDR 57,000,000.00. This cost is relatively economical and effective in improving road capacity and traffic performance without physical road widening.

Abstract

Road construction in hilly regions of Indonesia presents complex technical and financial challenges due to extreme topographical variations. This study examines the integration of technical design analysis with the Indonesian Standard Unit Price Method (AHSP) to improve cost estimation accuracy and risk management. Using the Batauga–Sampolawa road project in South Buton Regency as a case study, the research analyzes how longsection and cross-section designs influence earthwork volumes and subsequent cost structures. Results indicate that hilly topography necessitates significant slope stabilization measures and unbalanced cut-fill volumes, directly impacting cost distribution. Through AHSP-based cost projection for 2025, the study identifies critical risk factors including fuel price volatility, material classification uncertainties, and equipment productivity in steep terrain. The research demonstrates that an integrated design-cost approach enables more realistic budgeting and proactive risk mitigation in hilly road projects. Recommendations include the adoption of digital terrain modeling, AHSP adjustment factors for hilly conditions, and contingency planning for geotechnical uncertainties.

Abstract

The Yos Sudarso Road section in Wolio District, Baubau City, is a major road with a strategic function, serving as the main connector between important centers such as the commercial area, Kamali Beach, and Murhum Port. The diverse land-use functions along this road generate high daily activity variations, which directly impact its traffic performance. Currently, Jalan Yos Sudarso is experiencing a decline in performance due to increased traffic volume and significant side friction from commercial activities. This research aims to analyze the traffic flow conditions and the Level of Service (LOS) of the road. The analysis method utilizes the Pedoman Kapasitas Jalan Indonesia (PKJI) 2023, based on primary data from surveys on road geometry, traffic volume, and side friction during peak hours. The traffic flow conditions reveal a very high level of side friction caused by on-street parking and vehicle maneuvers into/out of commercial establishments. This activity effectively reduces the road's effective width, consequently degrading its performance. During the peak hour (09:00–10:00), the number of side friction incidents reached 327 incidents per hour, with a concurrent traffic volume of 918.5 pcu/hour (passenger car units per hour). The analysis results show that the road section's actual capacity is 1,116.9 pcu/hour with a Degree of Saturation (DS) value of 0.82. This indicates congested flow conditions and a Level of Service (LOS) category D. This condition suggests that the road can still function, but it no longer provides an optimal level of service.

Abstract

The application of review design in construction projects serves as an effective strategy to enhance implementation efficiency. This study aims to analyze time and cost efficiency resulting from the application of review design in the Bantuas Bridge rehabilitation project in Samarinda City. The research employs a comparative analysis between the initial design and the revised design, evaluating construction methods, equipment productivity, activity duration, and cost requirements. Data were collected from planning documents, cost estimates, technical reports, and field observations. The results indicate that the review design reduced project duration from 150 to 140 days, achieving a time efficiency of 6.67%. Additionally, the total project cost decreased from Rp3,000,487,000 to Rp2,860,487,000, resulting in a cost saving of 4.67%. These efficiencies were achieved through the adoption of precast minipile foundations and modular structural components such as steel decks. Therefore, the review design is proven to be an effective strategy for improving construction efficiency in terms of time and cost.
