Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan majas dan makna yang ada pada lirik lagu Tulus dalam album “Manusia”. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan yaitu pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif dan termasuk dalam jenis penelitian studi pustaka. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah dengan menggunakan teknik simak, teknik baca, teknik dengar, dan teknik catat. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini bersifat interaktif yang terdiri tiga komponen penelitian, meliputi: reduksi data, penyajian data, dan simpulan. Hasil penelitian ini pertama, menganalisis (50) kutipan lirik lagu Tulus dalam album “Manusia” dengan memanfaatkan beragam majas ditemukan, yakni majas perbandingan yang berjenis perumpamaan (1), metafora (1), dan personafikasi (6), majas perulangan yang berjenis aliterasi (7), asonansi (6), repetisi (6), pleonasme (3), dan parelisme, majas pertentangan yang berjenis hiperbola (5), litotes (2), oksimoron (2), dan majas pertautan yang berjenis sinekdoke; sinekdoke pars pro toto (1) dan sinekdoke totem pro parte (1). Kedua, lagu Tulus dalam album “Manusia” Kedua, terdapat empat jenis citraan, yaitu citraan pendengaran (2), citraan gerak (1), citraan perabaan (3), dan citraan penglihatan(3). Penulis berharap Penelitian ini berguna untuk menambah warna penelitian mengenai majas dan citraan dalam sastra.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penggunaan tiga jenis deixis pada lirik lagu “To the Bone” karya Pamungkas. Penulis menggunakan metode kualitatif. Peneliti menggunakan analisis dokumen sebagai instrumen dalam penelitian ini. Untuk menganalisis data, penulis menggunakan tiga langkah yaitu reduksi data, display data, dan verifikasi data. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa tiga jenis deiksis (Levinson, 1983) yaitu: deiksis personal, deiksis spasial, dan deiksis temporal muncul dalam lagu “to the bone” karya Pamungkas. Dari temuan tersebut, penulis menemukan 83 deiksis personal, 1 deiksis temporal, dan 8 deiksis spasial. Hasil dalam penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa analisis deiksis pada lagu ini, data yang paling banyak diperoleh adalah deiksis personal yang terdiri dari 83 kata dibandingkan dengan deiksis temporal yang terdiri dari dua kata, dan deiksis spasial yang terdiri dari delapan kata.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the semiotic analysis contained in the lyrics of a song entitled "Wijayakusuma" by Ardhito Pramono. This research method uses descriptive analysis. The results of this study reveal that, based on the results of a semiotic analysis of the lyrics of the song, the first trichotomy that often appears is the meaning of the index and also the symbol. The first trichotomy, namely Denotatum, has 12 data. There is 1 data which includes an icon, 4 indexes, and 7 symbols. Overall, the lyrics of the song semiotically mean love and longing for the beauty of nature so that its sustainability is maintained. After conducting research, it is hoped that this research will provide benefits in the development of semiotics. In addition, it is hoped that this research will provide benefits for writers who are interested in semiotics and know how to apply it.

Abstract

This paper provides an analysis of Budi Pekerti movie using the lens of Antonio Gramsci's Hegemony Theory. The movie, which focuses on promoting moral and character education, subtly mirrors the dynamics of cultural dominance and ideological control in society. By focusing on how social and cultural norms are reinforced in everyday life, the movie serves as an excellent representation of how dominant ideologies shape the behaviors, values, and perceptions of individuals. Through the framework of hegemony proposed by Gramsci, this research examines how power structures, social expectations, and cultural narratives play a role in the reinforcement of conformity to a hegemonic moral order. Ultimately, this paper explores how cultural products like Budi Pekerti play a role in reinforcing social norms and maintaining ideological control, shaping the moral compass of individuals within society.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the morphological processes found in the lyrics of Taylor Swift's album, The Life of a Showgirl, specifically focusing on the use of derivational and inflectional affixes. The study utilizes the morphological theory proposed by William O’Grady to identify and categorize the affixes present in the selected songs. The research method employed in this study is the descriptive qualitative method, which allows for a detailed examination of the linguistic features within their natural context. The data were collected by identifying words containing affixes, with a strict protocol that ensured no repetition; thus, each data point represents a unique instance of a specific affix type, regardless of how many times the word is repeated in the song. The results of the analysis reveal a total of 239 affixes found in the album. Specifically, the data consists of 131 derivational affixes and 108 inflectional affixes. The findings indicate that derivational affixes are the dominant category used by the songwriter. This prevalence suggests that in The Life of a Showgirl, Taylor Swift prioritizes the process of word formation to alter meanings and grammatical categories, thereby enhancing the descriptive depth and rhyme scheme of the lyrics, while inflectional affixes are utilized to maintain grammatical cohesion and tense consistency.
