Abstract

One of the vital compenents in educational system is the teaching and learning activities which is  sometimes the so-called also as instructional activities or education interaction activities. Competence Based Curriculum requires the accurence of mastery learning. Therefore,  to each student has right to attain the mastery in the learning. To reach the mastery learning, a teacher is demanded to be competent in pedagogy and professional. In fulfiling these two competencies, it is considered important towards the professional development via the lesson plan. The research question which emerges on this activity namely: “Can Lesson Study improve the teachers professional and pedagogy competencies to achieve the students mastery learning in SD Negeri Holtekamp District Muara Tami Kota Jayapura?”. This activity aims at improving the teachers’ professional and pedagogy competencies by applying the lesson study to reach the students minimal criteria of mastery of SD Negeri Holtekamp Distrik Muara Tami Kota Jayapura, in the year of 2018. The target of this activity is the head master and teachers in SD Negeri Holtekamp Distrik Muara Tami Kota Jayapura in 2018. This community service carried out using cooperative approach (cooperative learning method), and the interactive colaboration between the facilitator and the participants throughout the study of comprehensive learning. The result of this activity gives the comrehension amid the lesson study as one of the efforts for reaching the students mastery learning. The expectation of this activity should be more developed in which the possible establishment of academic atmosphere condusively for the shake of creating the mutual learning. Thereby, this lesson study potentially hoped to build more and more learning community. Abstract

Papua Province is in the first position for the number of illiterates. The number of illiterate people in the two districts in the Southern region of  Papua, namely Mappi Regency and Asmat Regency, is still very high, reaching 60%. Women have greater illiteracy rates than men. The Ministry of  Education and Culture notes that there are 1,157,703 men who are still illiterate. While the number of  illiterate women reached 2,258,990. Entering this information era,  literacy is an important key to improving education, health, nutrition and family welfare. Because with literacy and education, women will be more empowered, can make their own decisions and have a strong bargaining position in the family and community. Considering women as the most influential people in a group, with family as an example, women are the main focus in this matter. This activity is called Kuliah Kerja Nyata Pembelajaran Pemberdayaan Masyarakat (KKN PPM). It is a University Student Community Service which focus on Community Empowerment as the Learning Process/Activities. This takes place from July 26 to August 26, 2019, in Soba Village, Obaa District, Mappi Regency, Papua Province. Activities that involve students of Elementary School Teacher Education Study Program of the  Faculty of Teacher Training and Education of Cenderawasih University are  literacy learning activities (read, write and count) with women as the target of the activities. The method used in this activity is counseling, interactive discussion and community learning assistance. The implementation of KKN-PPM activities was enthusiastically welcomed by the Government of Mappi Regency and also all the village officials and the local community. The target community, who are generally women, take part  in the literacy program very enthusiastically. The implementation of literacy activities was facilitated by the Principal and Teachers of YPPK St. Paulus Elementary School in Soba Village, Obaa District, Mappi Regency. Keywords: Literacy ability, Empowerment of Environmental Potential,counseling

Abstract

The expansion of oil palm plantations has contradictory impacts on traditional communities, such as the Marind-Anim. On the one hand, the operationalization of oil palm plantations provides space for the community to participate in national economic development. On the other hand, oil palm plantations with their various instruments, have forced them to relinquish their customary land. The flow of global economic power through oil palm plantations seems to have dragged a traditional community such as the Marind-Anim to the brink of collapse. This study aims to trace the narrative of oil palm expansion in the Marind-Anim areas and examines the encounter between the indigenous Marind-Anim community and the global economic forces. This study uses a qualitative research method with an ethnographic approach aiming to explore the encounter of the Marind-Anim indigenous community with the global economic forces at the intersection areas. The results show that the function of sago land as an economic foundation is decreasing due to the global economic pressures from the monoculture oil palm plantations because the Marind-Anim indigenous land has become a frontier area for global economic expansion aiming to supply the global food demand. At the same time, the sago plantation as a safety valve for the traditional economy and local food security has been reduced by oil palm plantations.

Abstract

This research was conducted at SD Negeri 3 Abepura to analyze the ability to prepare a Minimum Competency Assessment (AKM) Learning Evaluation during the Covid 19 Pandemic. The method used in this research is qualitative, collecting information through interviews and observing the situation in elementary schools, as well as through documentary research. The results of this study indicate that in carrying out the AKM at SD Negeri 3 Abepura it is done online with questions developed by the Directorate of Basic Education, Ministry of Education and Culture. SD Negeri 3 Abepura teachers have received socialization related to AKM. However, they have not received technical assistance regarding the preparation of questions, so the teacher has never prepared AKM questions. As a recommendation, teacher readiness in dealing with AKM is very important, therefore teachers can collaborate at their respective class levels in carrying out student-based learning plans, including it is important for teachers to increase teacher community forums available online to share experiences and practical.

Abstract

Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat ini bertajuk “Pendidikan Multikultural : Upaya Merawat Keteraturan Kehidupan Sosial-Budaya Di Kampung Skouw Sae, Kota Jayapura, Papua”. Tujuan pelaksanaan kegiatan ini adalah untuk memberikan gambaran pentingnya hidup dalam konsep multikultural bagi masyarakat dalam menghadapi era keterbukaan dan interspace, dan menemukan gambaran bentuk kerjasama dalam kehidupan multikultural.Selain itu, kegiatan ini akan memperoleh gambaran pentingnya hidup bingkai multikultural bagi masyarakat, dan memberikan gambaran bentuk implementasi dalam multikultural. Adapun pelaksanaannya dilakukan melalui sosialisasi dengan metode ceramah, dan diskusi interaktif. Hasil kegiatan yang melibatkan masyarakat dan guru Sekolah Dasar (SD) telah memberikan pengetahuan tentang pentingnya merawat keteraturan kehidupan sosial-budaya melalui pendidikan multikultural. Sebagai catatan penutup, dalam rangka mendorong terwujudnya pendidikan multikultural dapat dilakukan melalui; penyadaran akan pentingnya pemahaman multikultural bagi kehidupan masyarakat, adanya kebijakan kampung yang berbasis multikultural, dan memupuk semangat resiliensi berbasis multikultural. Dalam implementasinya tim pelaksana merekomendasikan penerapan konsep “Tri Pusat Pendidikan” Pembelajaran Multikultural ala Ki Hadjar Dewantara. Dimana pendidikan multikultural dapat dilakukan mulai dari rumah (keluarga), lingkungan sekolah, dan masyarakat. Dengan demikian, pemahaman akan keragaman sebagai suatu keniscayaan yang tak dapat dihindarkan akan tercipta.

Abstract

This study aims to look at and analyze the strategies used in determining and selecting essential competencies in an effort to fulfill basic competencies and learning outcomes at Abepura 3 Public Elementary School, Jayapura City. This research was conducted using a descriptive-qualitative method. Data collection was carried out through interviews, observation of the elementary school situation, and literature studies relevant to the research topic. Data analysis was carried out in a qualitative, descriptive manner with three stages: presentation of data, analysis of data, and drawing conclusions. Research results how that learning 67% of teachers do assessment diagnostics, consisting of 50% conducting cognitive diagnostic assessments, 33% conducting non-cognitive diagnostic assessments, 17% conducting both assessments, and 33% not conducting assessment cognitive and non-cognitive diagnostics.

Abstract

This community service activity was carried out at Inpres Koya Tengah State Elementary School, Muara Tami District, Jayapura City with the aim of assisting teachers in determining strategies for achieving minimum competencies in the New Normal era at Inpres Koya Tengah State Elementary School, Muara Tami District, Jayapura City. The target audience for this activity are school principals, teachers, both class teachers and subject teachers at SD Negeri Inpres Koya Tengah, Muara Tami District, Jayapura City, including honorary teachers. The method we use in carrying out this activity is the lecture and mentoring method with systematically designed stages consisting of preparation, activity implementation and evaluation stages. Abstract

This Community Service Activity is carried out to help teachers in creating hot questions in preparing students who will take the Minimum Competency Assessment. In elementary school arithmetic, AKM wants to know to what extent students are able to understand and master basic mathematical concepts. However, in practice, there are still many schools that have not been able to implement AKM well due to a lack of understanding and knowledge about effective measurement methods. The method steps (1) Identify the problem. (2) Program design for the planned community service program. (3) Implementation of the program through various activities such as: Training and mentoring for school teachers, development of teaching materials and activities to motivate students. (4) This evaluation determines the extent to which this community service program can increase the introduction of AKM numeracy in elementary schools and students' ability to understand and master basic mathematical concepts. The results of the service are  improvements in numeracy and problem solving skills in AKM in elementary schools, students' ability to understand and master basic mathematical concepts, as well as students' interest and motivation to study numeracy topics

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilaksanakan di SD Tangwala Skou Yambe Distrik MuaraTami Kota Jayapura sebagai salah satu wujud dari terpenuhinya kegiatan Tridharma perguruan tinggi yang dilakukan oleh dosen. SD Tangwala Skou Yambe ini masih menerapkan kurikulum 2013 dengan rombel ada 6. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilakukan untuk membantu para guru khususnya di SD Tangwala Skou Yambe agar dapat memanfaatkan barang bekas/sederhana untuk dijadikan sebagai media pembelajaran pada pelajaran IPA. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini adalah metode pelatihan dengan pendampingan, ceramah, diskusi. Adapun hasil dari kegiatan pengabdian ini yaitu para peserta dalam hal ini guru telah mampu merancang dan membuat alat peraga dari barang bekas/sederhana sebagai media pembelajaran IPA. Selain itu para guru juga telah mengimplementasikannya dalam proses pembelajaran di kelas, sehingga sehingga hasil belajar, pemehaman dan motivasi belajar peserta didik dapat meningkat.

Abstract

Interactive learning media has great potential in improving the quality of education in Indonesia, especially in elementary schools. This article discusses the results of PKM research which aims to provide assistance in the use of interactive learning media at SD Negeri Inpres Koya Tengah, Muara Tami District, Jayapura City. This research aims to improve the effectiveness of learning at the school. The method of implementing activities consists of a preparation stage, an implementation stage. The results of the activity show that the assistance and use of interactive learning media at SD Negeri Inpres Koya Tengah has had a positive impact on the learning process.
