Abstract

The aims of this service were: (1) To improve the understanding of science’s concept for teachers and pupil; (2)  To improve the awereness and interest of students to study science; (3) To improve the soft skill of science teacher to create the simple and interesting learning program. The methods used this time was using a tools gathered around the school. Some equipments from laboratory were also used to support the activity. We can conclude that our activity were success in pulling out the awareness of students to learn sciences. We can measures it from their enthusiasm of the pupils when doing the exercise using gathered tolls and laboratory equipment. Keywords: science, study, equipments, laboratory, Jayapura

Abstract

This Floods occur frequently in Indonesai also in Jayapura, one of the negative impacts being felt on the world of education, namely the damage to educational facilities and infrastructure, including damage to the tools used to carry out physics practicums at SMA Negeri 4 Jayapura. Efforts to continue to carry out practicum activities are by utilizing applications found on smartphones as practicum media including the EveryCircuit application and Logic Circuit Simulator in electrical experiments. In carrying out the activity, no significant obstacles were found because the students were accustomed to using smartphones and easily understood the use of the given application because a practicum guidebook was available. The EveryCircuit application and Logic Circuit Simulator can be used as a tool to be used as a virtual laboratory in carrying out physics practicums in schools, especially in the learning process during the post-disaster period and for schools that do not yet have a laboratory or special equipment in the electronics field. Keywords: the everycircuit application; logic circuit simulator; educational facilities and infrastructure; education

Abstract

Kajian analisis struktur tanah untuk keperluan penyelidikan endapan airtanah dengan metode geolistrik resistivitas Schlumberger sounding dilakukan di Toladan, Desa Sentani Kota, Kecamatan Sentani, Kabupaten Jayapura. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperkirakan letak dan kedalaman lapisan tanah yang mengandung airtanah (akuifer). Metode geolistrik resistivitas paling cocok untuk eksplorasi air tanah, mineral logam dan lapisan batuan keras. Penelitian dengan metode geolistrik ini menggunakan konfigurasi elektroda Schlumberger. Model investigasi dilakukan secara vertikal – 1 dimensi (sounding). Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode survei lapangan dan analisis geofisika lanjutan. Penelitian dilakukan pada titik dengan koordinat 2°33'10.70"LS 140°31'51.00"BT. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa lapisan akuifer yang terdeteksi adalah lapisan akuifer dalam. Litologi geologi lokasi penelitian didominasi oleh batuan ultramafik padat dan keras. Selain itu, pasir kasar dan halus mendominasi di daerah penelitian. Struktur tanah keras dan lapisan deposit air tanah ditemukan di lokasi penelitian. Lapisan yang mengandung airtanah ditemukan pada kedalaman 67,60 m dengan resistivitas 45,50 m. Jenis akuifer yang terdeteksi adalah akuifer jernih karena berada di lingkungan batuan keras ultrabasa dan pasir berasosiasi dengan tanah, kerikil dan kerikil.

Abstract

Natural gas is one of the natural resources that are abundant in Indonesia. Papua is one of the regions in Indonesia that has large potential reserves of natural gas, including Jayapura City. The existence of natural gas potential in Jayapura City is indicated by the presence of natural gas bursts that came out during the drilling process of the wells of residents of Holtekamp Village, Muara Tami District, Jayapura City. The gas burst incident that appeared in the Holtekamp Village area was not the first to occur in the Muara Tami District area but the presence of natural gas manifestations has also been found in West Koya. In relation to this, the author took the initiative to conduct geophysical research using the gravity method. This gravity method is used to determine the condition of the subsurface structure regionally. Based on 3D modeling based on GGMplus gravity anomalies, it was obtained that the natural gas manifestation area of ​​Holtekamp Village is in a coastal sedimentary basin and swamp with a depth of 500 meters. In addition, the results of 3D modeling also identified 1 other sedimentary basin with a depth of 1200 meters in the shallow sea area on the Holtekamp coast and 2 other sedimentary basins with depths of 1500 meters and 2500 meters in Youtefa Bay.
