Abstract

The purpose of the dedicaton activity is to apply computer based test application using PHP programming and MySQL database, train and practice the use of computer based test application to the students junior high school Advent Abepura. Method of implementing activities adopting the pattern of action research which includes program planning, program implementation, evaluation, and report. Implementation of the service activities includes seven stages of coordinating with the junior high school Advent Abepura, creating computer based test application software, socialization about the application of computer based test, training and practice of using computer based test application, mentoring the use of computer based test application, and report generation. The result of the activity is the students are able to use computer based test application so that it can improve the quality of education at junior high school Advent Abepura. This overcomes the student's cheating factor in the exam process, improves teacher's objectivity in the assessment, cost savings in the problem-making / replication process and answer sheets, speeding up the examination and assessment of the exam results. Keywords: Computer based test, PHP web, Application software, Education quality

Abstract

This community service activity aims to introduce biomass stoves to communities in need, particularly those with abundant biomass waste. The biomass stove's performance has already been evaluated through prior research conducted on campus. This community service initiative will be carried out with the Berkat Rama farmer group in Bibiosi Village, a major corn production area near Cenderawasih University in Arso District, Keerom Regency. Based on preliminary site assessments, local farmers reported significant quantities of agricultural waste, specifically corn cobs, left after harvest. This waste has not been optimally utilized by farmers and is typically disposed of by burning. Motivated by this, our community service team from the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Cenderawasih University aims to introduce corn cob-fueled biomass stoves to the local community. The Community Service Program (PKM) was met with strong enthusiasm from participants, who actively engaged in the socialization session through to its conclusion. The community expressed a desire for more frequent activities of this kind to broaden their knowledge and skills, especially regarding appropriate technology applications. The final outcome of this community service is an increase in both knowledge and skills among members of the Berkat Rama farmer group, specifically in the fabrication and operation of the introduced biomass stoves. They also received training in operational safety for biomass stoves. The acquired knowledge and skills are expected to be applied and shared with other community members and farmers in the area.

Abstract

This study evaluates the performance of the 20 kV Edelweiss feeder by analysing transformer loading, voltage drop, and technical power losses in a radial distribution network. The analysis is based on a bus-by-bus electrical model derived from feeder topology, conductor impedance, load current, power factor, and segment length data. Voltage profiles and technical losses are quantified using established three-phase power flow relationships based on Ohm’s law and Kirchhoff’s current law, enabling the assessment of cumulative voltage drop and loss propagation along the feeder. The results show that the feeder maintains a highly stable voltage profile, with a total voltage drop of 41.422 V, equivalent to approximately 0.207% of the nominal 20 kV voltage. Total active and reactive power losses are 7.3103 kW and 4.7821 kVAR, respectively, with more than 96% of these losses concentrated in Bus 2 and Bus 3. The findings demonstrate that technical losses are governed primarily by current accumulation, electrical distance, and topological position within the radial network rather than by conductor length alone. This study contributes a feeder-level understanding of how upstream current aggregation shapes voltage-drop and loss distribution, providing empirical evidence for identifying critical segments in medium-voltage radial distribution systems .
