Abstract

The quality of teachers will be better if the stakeholders are able to prepare competent teachers, so that teachers can make changes and adapt to the progress of science and technology. The problem experienced by partners is that not all teachers are looking to continue to develop themselves; limited trainings related to competency improvement, capacity building training models that can be implemented in schools. This activity aims to provide an increase in the professional capacity of SMK teachers. Partners in this activity are teachers of SMK Negeri 4 Lhokseumawe. As for the method of implementing the activities carried out by workshops and In House Training. The results of the evaluation of community empowerment service activities have been able to make a real contribution in increasing knowledge, understanding, and increasing the professional capacity of teachers through continuous training activities. The implementation of this service activity is able to help partner teachers in their potential to become professional teachers by participating in ongoing training through workshops and jam sessions. The knowledge, understanding, skills and productivity of teachers have increased through increasing the professional capacity of Vocational High School teachers.

Abstract

Penelitian pengembangan ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kelayakan penggunaan media buku saku berbasis Mind Mapping pada materi Persamaan Garis Lurus di MTsS Jabal Nur dilihat dari segi kevalidan, kepraktisan, dan keefektifan. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah Reseach and Development (R&D) dengan model pengembangan ADDIE. Subjek penelitian siswa kelas VIII MTsS Jabal Nur. Teknik pengumpulan data yaitu dengan wawancara, angket dan instrumen tes. Kelayakan media pembelajaran merujuk pada hasil penilaian buku saku oleh ahli media dan ahli materi untuk kevalidan, kepraktisan merujuk pada hasil angket respon siswa pada kelompok kecil dan kelompok besar, dan keefektifan merujuk pada hasil instrumen tes pada siswa kelompok besar. Teknik analisis data pada penelitian ini yaitu analisis data validasi ahli materi, ahli media dan analisis uji coba produk. Kelayakan terlihat dari hasil penilaian validator dimana semua validator menyatakan sangat valid, hasil penilaian ahli materi diperoleh persentase sebesar 85,8% dengan kategori “Sangat Valid” dan hasil penilaian ahli media diperoleh persentase 79,15% dengan kategori “Valid”. Hasil penilaian siswa terhadap buku saku persamaan garis lurus “Sangat Praktis” dengan peroleh persentase pada kelompok kecil yaitu 88,9% dan pada kelompok besar diperoleh persentase yaitu 87,6%. Kefektifan buku saku persamaan garis lurus berdasarkan instrumen tes pada kelompok besar diperoleh persentase 86,66% dengan kategori efektif. Berdasarkan penilaian produk oleh semua validator dan penilaian siswa maka buku saku persamaan garis lurus yang dikembangkan sudah memenuhi kriteria layak digunakan untuk siswa kelas VIII MTsS Jabal Nur.

Abstract

Rubber trees (Hevea brasiliensis) are the main source of natural rubber and play an important role in Indonesia's industry. Determining the quality of rubber sap is a challenge for companies, as traditional manual processes are time-consuming and prone to human error. PT Poly Kencana Raya, a company in Besitang, North Sumatra, currently still uses conventional methods in determining the quality of rubber latex it produces. This research aims to design a web-based system with the application of the Support Vector Machine (SVM) method to facilitate the determination of rubber latex quality. SVM was chosen as a classification method because of its ability to determine the optimal hyperplane that can separate data from two different classes, namely feasible and unfit. The built system utilizes the main criteria such as tree age, tapping time, moisture content, color, and texture in determining the quality of the sap. Implementation. This study used 120 samples of test data, with accurate prediction results on 111 data, resulting in an accuracy rate of 92.5%. This decision support system is expected to increase efficiency and accuracy in rubber sap selection and support the development of rubber production quality in Indonesia. This research also opens up opportunities for further development by adding other classification methods for accuracy comparison or adding training data to optimize prediction results. Abstract

Berastagi is known as one of the favorite natural tourist destinations in North Sumatra that offers a variety of interesting tourist attractions. However, the many choices often make it difficult for tourists to determine the location that suits their preferences. This study aims to develop a web-based recommendation and mapping system for the best natural tourist destinations in Berastagi by implementing the Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) method. This system considers six main criteria, namely ease of vehicle access, consumption costs, accommodation costs, security levels, and the availability of toilets and parking areas. Tourist locations are visualized through interactive maps based on Geographic Information Systems (GIS). Data were obtained from field surveys, interviews with visitors and managers, and location mapping using Google Maps. This system is specifically designed for three main user groups: independent tourists who want to plan their trips independently, local travel agencies who need data-based guidance to compile tour packages, and the district tourism office as a basis for decision making in promoting and developing regional tourism. System validation was carried out by comparing the recommendations given by the system with the actual choices of 20 respondents. From the results of this test, the system showed a match rate of 85%, with a p-value of 0.021. This figure shows that the recommendations from the system are quite in accordance with user preferences and have statistically significant results. Based on the analysis using the TOPSIS method, the five natural tourist destinations with the highest values ​​recommended by the system are: Lau Sidebuk-Debuk Hot Springs (0.694387), Mount Sibayak (0.648177), Sipiso-Piso Waterfall (0.644718), Gundaling Hill (0.636776), and Lau Kawar Lake (0.625521). This system is expected to be a guide that helps tourists plan trips more precisely, as well as support digital promotion of leading natural tourist attractions in the Berastagi area.

Abstract

Effective drug stock management is essential in healthcare services, particularly for infectious diseases such as pulmonary tuberculosis. This study aims to forecast TB drug stock using the ARIMA model and analyze residual volatility based on data from Banda Sakti Public Health Center, Lhokseumawe City. It focuses on applying predictive modeling at the primary healthcare level, which has rarely been addressed in previous studies. The dataset covers six drug types from January 2021 to December 2024. ARIMA models were selected automatically using Python and evaluated using sMAPE, MAE, and RMSE. Results show that ARIMA was successfully applied to four drug types, with sMAPE ranging from 31% to 41%, which is acceptable for short-term planning. The ARCH test produced p-values > 0.05, indicating that GARCH was not necessary. Two drug types could not be modeled due to zero-constant and sporadic data patterns. The proposed system can assist pharmacy staff in planning procurement and safety stock at the primary care level.

Abstract

SMK N 2 Lhokseumawe is a public high school located on Jln. Ocean, Kampung Jawa Lama, Banda Sakti, Lhokseumawe City, Aceh. The process of admitting new students to make it more effective, the school certainly has a scoring system with predetermined criteria. SMK N 2 Lhokseumawe itself has a data system and value selection process which makes it a problem, because the data is processed only using Microsoft Excel and calculated manually. from the test results. Therefore it is necessary to change the old system with changes to the new system. By using the SPK (Decision Support System) in the MOORA (Multi Object Optimization on The Basis of Ratio Analysisis) Method in order to optimize two or more conflicting attributes simultaneously and to make it easier for SMK N 2 Lhokseumawe in determining PPDB according to the criteria set out set. This system is supported by the PHP programming language as a system development application, and the MySQL database as data storage. The results of calculations using the MOORA method show that SMK N 2 Lhokseumawe students on behalf of Afrilia Fransciska are ranked first with a percentage of 0.305 and Beriana Amelia Febrianti is ranked last with a percentage of 0.166. very useful for SMK N 2 Lhokseumawe.

Abstract

Students' low mathematical communication skills indicate obstacles in conveying and understanding mathematical ideas, both verbally and in writing. This study aims to analyze students' mathematical communication skills according to Gregorc's thinking style on the topic of relations and functions. The method used was descriptive qualitative, with data collected through a thinking style questionnaire, a mathematical communication test, and semi-structured interviews. Four eighth-grade students were purposively selected, each representing one type of Gregorc's thinking style. The study's findings indicate that students with an abstract sequential thinking style achieve coherent, logical, and complete mathematical communication, while those with a concrete random thinking style tend to have difficulty conveying ideas systematically. It is concluded that thinking style influences students' mathematical communication styles, so teachers need to consider differences in thinking styles in developing effective lesson plans.

Abstract

This study aims to develop an e-module based on inquiry-based learning model assisted by the heyzine application for students' mathematical communication skills on data centralization and data dissemination materials at SMP Negeri 3 Lhokseumawe. The background of this study is the low mathematical communication skills of students, the teaching and learning process still uses books and teaching modules that tend to be boring for student and many teachers are still unfamiliar with the use of applications such as heyzine. The method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE development model, which consists of five stages: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. Product validation is carried out by media experts and material experts to determine the level of validity. Practicality and effectiveness are assessed through student response questionnaires and learning outcomes. The results showed that the validation of media experts obtained a score of 98.09%, and material experts 95.4% with the category of "very feasible." The practicality test of student responses reached 92.6% with the criteria of "very practical" and student learning outcomes reached an effectiveness level of 85% with the criteria of "very effective". These results indicate that the developed e-module is valid, practical, and effective for use in mathematics learning, especially in statistics material for grade VIII. This product is expected to support enjoyable learning and be relevant to students' daily lives.

Abstract

Recommendation systems often struggle to balance personalization with fairness, particularly in addressing the marginalization of minority brands caused by data and algorithmic biases. This study tackles that challenge by developing a dynamic laptop recommendation system tailored to user preferences, leveraging a hybrid algorithm that combines Fuzzy Simple Additive Weighting (Fuzzy SAW) and Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO). Fuzzy SAW is employed to manage uncertainties in subjective preferences such as budget and intended use, while PSO dynamically optimizes the weight of each criterion to enhance personalization. Evaluation was conducted using primary data from 27 respondents in Lhokseumawe, Aceh, collected via surveys and interviews, alongside secondary data on laptop specifications retrieved from the Tokopedia API. The resulting match accuracy reached 74.1%, with Asus accounting for 85.0% of the successful recommendations. In contrast, brands like Lenovo and Advan were significantly underrepresented, underscoring the system’s limited sensitivity to minority brands. This research contributes to the field of recommendation systems by empirically demonstrating the trade-off between optimization and fairness, as well as proposing strategies to mitigate algorithmic bias. Practical implications include better-informed user decisions and fairer brand exposure for e-commerce platforms. Future improvements will focus on expanding data sources and refining PSO parameter tuning to better accommodate underrepresented brands.
