Abstract

The mining industry is in need of a good planning so that the planned production targets can beachieved at minimum cost and revenue optimally, and can generate cash flow that will maximizerevenue each year over the life of the mine took place. Tin ore mining economic studies based onthe technical design data, so that the determination of the cost will be considered by the company.Components of the economic study of tin ore mining in terms of costing, revenue from the sale ofproducts, the calculation of cash flow, net present value, internal rate of return, payback period,sensitive analysis. Based on the results of studies on tin ore mine PT Mitra Stania Prima BlockKemingking acquired total reserves of tin ore amounted to 2.801,531 tons, by applying the method ofmining Open Pit Mining. From the economic feasibility calculations assuming the bank rate of 12%was obtained net present value of Rp 11.810.941.184.00, internal rate of return of 19.04%, and apayback period of 4.78 months for 2 years. Based on these results the project of PT Mitra StaniaPrima Block Kemingking feasible to continue.

Abstract

Open pit mining system for the class under TB as TS has reserves of alluvial tin, so that the postmining activities in particular using the backfilling method. Backfilling method that would be examined wasthe backfilling method by mechanial means. The study was conducted in TS 1.44 Mapur PT Timah(Persero) Tbk. Data processing to be performed was the cycle time calculation of heavy equipmentsuch as excavator, dump trucks and bulldozer using to measure time of backfilling, time of stripping,production capacity and match factor. The calculation of machine cost to calculation cost of backfilling.The measurement hole of backfilling and stripping to calculation the volume of backfilling and the volumeof overburden. Calculation time for persentage of effeciency work tools. Based on research obtainedbackfilling activities was a stage open new worked front that stripping, used the excavator loading materialinto a bath of dump truck, dumping into the hole in backfilling and leveled material used bulldozer.Backfilling volume of 171.390 m3 from pegs base and 87.000 m3 from TLR, have a difference of 84.390m3. Backfilling for 41 days with the cost of Rp 675.100.000. Stripping volume of 150.000 m3 to 63.000 m3of excess soil and stripping for 70 days. Production capacity of excavator 49.364,17 m3/month, dumptrucks 39.491,33 m3/month and bulldozer 300.249,09 m3/month. Effeciency of three equipment by0.786%. Match factor results by 72%, means unloading excavator having waiting time while dump truckwork 100%. The production of less than the maximum, so we need the add of 1 unit of dump truck so thatthe tools fit the excavator does not happen the wait time, dump trucks became to 4, it 96% or MF = 80% -100% and productifity would be maximum.

Abstract

Rock blasting operation generate deformation as a result of the vibration that will destruct rockmass and cause slope failure to endager the human safety. There are so many geological structuressuch as fault, joint and structures that caused the failure slope in South Air Laya Mine Site. Thereforeit is necessary to conduct a research of the influence of blast vibration on slope stability factor aroundthe area. Stability factor value (FK) was obtained from calculation of Geolsope 2007. Test ofPhysical and mechanical parameter valueincluded value of weight content of soil / rock (w) withkn/m3unit, cohesion (C), shear angle(), plasticity index value (IP) as well as the compressivestrenght (UCS). Vibration value was obtained from the measurement of vibration using BlasmateIII.Vibration value used is Peak Acceleration Tranverse (the greatest point taken). Furthermore, physicaland mechanical parameters data of rock and vibration was processed by using Geoslope2007software.Based on research conducted for 50 days by blasting as many as 15 times. Vibration valueused is 3 vibration greatest value, namely 0.102 g; 0.086 g and 0.084 g.The calculation of slope FKvalue using Geoslope2007 software was obtained the comparison between slope FK before and afterblasting. Slope FK value before blasting was 3,744 to 4,058 and slope FK after blasting was 3,422 to2,783. From the overall of slope FK value, slope in blasting area was conluded in safe category (FK >1,25).

Abstract

CV Persada Tambang Intitama TK 4.218 Paku is a partner company of PT Timah Tbk, which conducts primary tin mining using the open pit method. Primary tin ore processing includes comminution, sizing, and concentration activities. Grinding using a Ball Mill is an advanced process that aims to reduce the grain size of the material in order to obtain finer grain sizes (fine material) and prepare the right grain size for the concentration process of 80 s.d - 200 mesh. In this study, the variables used are feed rate, number of Ball Mill revolutions (RPM), and water rate. The experiment was used 27 times by setting variables in combination to get effective scouring results. The material at the study site is divided into high grade and low grade materials with primary tin mineralization types in the form of stanniferous veins and gossan formed due to the oxidation process of polymetallic veins. Variable feed rate, number of Ball Mill revolutions (RPM), and water rate are very influential on the results of grinding. The higher the feed rate, the number of turns, and the rate of water the higher the Ball Mill scour, but if the variable is too high it causes overload capacity so that the output volume decreases. The effectiveness of the grinding results obtained in sample 24 with the highest production value reaching 93.9%. The effective value is obtained from setting the feed rate variable 5 to 6 Ton Per Hour (TPH), 80 rotation RPM, and water rate of 10.800 liters/hour (l/h). The result of the maximum feed rate that can be done is 9.86 TPH with LPT is 236.64 ton/day. Thus, the average LPT target of the company's 230-240 tons/day Ball Mill can be achieved

Abstract

PT Aneka Kaoline Utama produces kaoline powder through two processes which are washing are washing unit and processing unit. Washing unit does the separation between tailing and kaoline with the extract as the result. The extract contains water and kaoline, then the water reduction will be processed in processing unit. Based on the information, writer evaluates the extract production in washing unit for fulfilling the needs of processing unit in PT Aneka Kaoline Utama using evaluation method and action research method. The steps are sampling raw material (feed), calculating the sediment pond’s dimention and the volume of full pond, sampling tailing in washing unit’s tools, observing the production’s process, and evaluating the needs off kaoline extract. The result of this research shows that raw material in washing unit were 3,847.4 ton in April, 3,606.2 ton in May, 2,594.9 ton June, and 3,890 in July which showed the amound of extract did not reach the target in processing unit. 69.2% of loose material and 21% loosing kaolin in average caused the recovery value in washing unit just reached 30.8%. Because of loose kaoline’s presence in washing unit, writer suggests the increasing of raw material and working hour as big as 27,056.3 ton per hour with 30.8% washing unit’s recovery so the company can produce 8.34 ton kaoline per hour and 4,000 ton kaoline per month.

Abstract

Fulfilling the annual production target of PT Prima Timah Utama based on the 2019 Work Plan and Budget of 1,100,000 m3 requires the procurement of adequate mining equipment both in terms of quantity and production capacity, especially excavators. The equipment procurement plan is estimated by calculating the need for tools using a sample of 30 distribution time data, 9-time constraints data, and some supporting calculation data that results in tool requirements. The cost of ownership of the equipment to be compared with the rental cost is obtained from the purchase price, interest, residual value and economic life of the equipment, the cost comparison is then analyzed using the Net Present Value method. The calculation results show that PT Prima Timah Utama must add 2 units of CAT 320D2 excavator for overburden stripping and wash with an estimated equipment cost of Rp. 2,224,076,433.6 for 2 units of new equipment and Rp. 2,541,131,520 for 2 units of rental equipment where the difference between the rental and purchase equipment is Rp. 317,055,086.4 for one year of work. The result of the analysis with the evaluation of NPV investment has a value of Rp. 32,313,773,567.7 or >0 which states that the investment is declared feasible.

Abstract

Penggerusan merupakan tahapan inti pengolahan bahan galian. Pengukuran keefektivan penggerusan didapat dari kelolosan sebesar 80% (P80) untuk ukuran butir yang ditargetkan 18 mesh. P80 saringan 18 mesh pada Bulan Agustus 2021 didapat sebesar 59% dengan pengaturan variabel yang belum diketahui. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi efektivitas gerus Rod Mill Primer dan mendapatkan ukuran butir yang tepat pada proses konsentrasi terhadap sisa hasil pengolahan (SHP) bijih timah.Variabel yang digunakan pada penelitian yaitu debit air dan laju umpan. Percobaan dilakukan sebanyak 9 kali dengan pengaturan variabel dilakukan secara secara kombinasi. Berbagai uji atau analisis dalam penelitian, berupa sieve analysis, Grain Counting Analysis (GCA) dan analisis geokimia menggunakan X-Ray Fluorescence (XRF), serta dianalisis statistik data yang diperoleh menggunakan SPSS.SHP timah didominasi oleh mineral quartz 47,81%, dan terdapat mineral ikutan seperti limonite, monazite, muscovite, hematite, magnetite, chalcopyrite dan oksida besi. Terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara variabel debit air dengan P18 mesh sebesar 84,5%. Efektivitas penggerusan diperoleh pada variabel debit air tertinggi 1,75 m³/jam dan laju umpan terendah 24-26 ton/jam sebesar 82% dengan produksi 20,45 ton/jam. Optimalisasi penggerusan didapat pada variabel debit air tertinggi 1,75 m³/jam, laju umpan tertinggi 32-34 ton/jam, dengan persentase perolehan mencapai 81% dan besar produksi sebesar 27,69 ton/jam.

Abstract

PT Timah Tbk's Batubesi Primary Large Mine has experienced a significant decline in production in recent years, causing a change in the mining process to stockpile management that is still economical with a grade of 0.2%. This study aims to determine the volume and production of stockpiles 3, 5 and 6, the type of sediment and Sn content of stockpile material and the time required to spend stockpile material 3, 5 and 6 in order to get the optimal time. The method used is a quantitative method by taking cycle time data as much as 30 data and analyzing sample levels using XRF on each stockpile. The results of this study obtained the volume of stockpile 3 material is 132,648.42 m3,, stockpile 5 is 162,570.25 m3, and stockpile 6 is 33,090.19 m3. The calculated machine productivity at stockpile 3 is 42.17 tons/hour, stockpile 5 is 48.11 tons/hour and stockpile 6 is 39.53 tons/hour. The highest Sn content is found in stockpile 6 which is 0.33% with the type of skarn sediment. While the lowest Sn content is found in stockpile 3 which is 0.2% with oxide clay sediment type. In stockpile 5, the Sn content is 0.31% with the type of oxide clay sediment. The remaining volume of stockpile material in stockpiles 3, 5 and 6 can be spent with a time of 2.78 years using 1 unit of excavation equipment and 1 unit of transportation equipment. Optimization is carried out so that the remaining stockpile reserves can be spent within 1.74 years using 1 unit of excavation equipment and 2 units of transport equipment.

Abstract

The research location chosen was the Air Rikai ex-mining land, which is an alluvial ex-mining land within the IUP of PT Timah Tbk. The negative impact that arises from mining is in the form of land damage. This research aims to overcome damage and also ensure that reclamation activities can be carried out well. The method used in this research is a quantitative method. The data taken is in the form of soil samples, soil pH and water pH data, topographic data (x,y,z coordinates) and bathymetric data for the depth of the pit. The results of data processing and analysis show that the condition of the land to be reclaimed has an area of 13 Ha and is divided into 2, namely voids with a total area of 1.57 Ha and land area of 11.43 Ha. Land use is carried out by stockpiling overburden with a required volume of overburden of 35,511.54 m³. Land leveling with a volume of pushed soil of 35,280 m³. Arrangement of the edge of the pit with a volume of soil moved of 230.29 m³. Construction of drainage channels with an excavation volume of 214.59 m³. Installation of concrete buis type culverts with dimensions of 50 x 50 cm and a length of 50 cm. In the revegetation, 1,517 oil palm trees were planted, then 463 sea cypress trees were planted along the underside and LCC seeds to help loosen the soil. Treating acid mine drainage with 350 water hyacinths. The costs required for reclamation are divided into 2, namely, Direct Costs and Indirect Costs. The direct costs required are IDR 679,286,160 and the indirect costs required are IDR 213,975,140. The total costs required for reclamation of land with an area of 13 Ha are IDR 893,261,300.
