Abstract

Abstract

Abstract

Background: The process of intravenous admixture preparations is one of the stages that require special attention to not affect the quality of the resulting preparations. An aseptic technique is required to maintain the sterility of the product produced and ensure its safety. Objective: To identify the appropriateness of the implementation of intravenous admixture based on guidelines and other standard relevant. Methods: This research was conducted at PKU Muhammadiyah Wonosari Hospital in the October-November 2022 period with 100 samples of intravenous injection preparations, which were directly observed using a checklist sheet which was then analyzed quantitativelyResults: The percentage of suitability for the preparatory stage was 89% in the appropriate category. Most suitability in the preparation stage is the use of disposable masks, which is 97%. The suitability of the IV admixture preparations in this study was 54%. The highest suitability of each assessment item is the highest at the stage of preparing all equipment and materials on the workbench (100%) and All drugs mixed using a compatible solvent (100%). Conclusion: In the preparation process, most of them are in accordance with the referenced standards, but at the intravenous admixture stage, the evenness is still low, so improvements are needed to improve aseptic techniques

Abstract

Hyperlipidemia is a non-communicable disease (NCD) caused by several factors, such as a person's socioeconomic status, culture, customs, habits, and lifestyle. Through user interaction on social media, we can discover the model anti-hyperlipidemia by extracting information, complaints, suggestions, and calls for help about the treatment, which will play a role as an intervention to reduce hyperlipidemia in Indonesia. This study aimed to identify factors influencing perceptions of hyperlipidemia drugs and resulting sentiment on the social media platform Twitter. This study used user-uploaded tweet data to compare perceptions of hyperlipidemia drugs in 2020 and keywords for hyperlipidemia terms and medicine. Tweets related to anti-hyperlipidemia were extracted by issuing tweets containing advertisements, news, re-tweet, and content outside of health. The tweet data obtained was then carried out through content analysis, including point of view, theme, and sentiment analysis, to identify whether the resulting tweets are positive, neutral, or negative using the Support Vector Machine (SVM) method. We identified 1572 hyperlipidemia-related tweets and 153 specific tweets describing hyperlipidemia medications. Tweets about anti-hyperlipidemia showed 99 tweets from the first-person perspective, 23 from the second-person perspective, 22 from healthcare professionals, and nine unidentifiable (other). Sixty-three tweets talked about the benefits of lipid-lowering drugs, 17 complaint tweets, 49 suggestion tweets, 17 question tweets, and two side effect tweets. Assessing public perceptions and sentiment toward hyperlipidemia treatment can be used to develop strategies to increase treatment adherence, improve treatment outcomes, and target health promotion efforts.

Abstract

To ensure that the quality of pharmaceutical products is maintained throughout the distribution chain, it is necessary to implement Good Distribution Practices at distribution facilities that distribute pharmaceutical products. This literature review explores the evaluation of Good Drug Distribution (GDP) or CDOB guideline practices in pharmaceutical product distribution facilities engaged in the public and private sectors in Indonesia. The literature review method used the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) protocol. Articles were searched using the Google Scholar database and restricted to those related to GDP published from 2018 to 2022. The literature was reviewed using questions to assess studies organized by Population, Exposure, and Outcome (PEO) criteria. Articles obtained were then identified, screened, eligibility, then selected based on inclusion and exclusion criteria resulting in 19 pieces that will be extracted data. Of the 19 articles, the study was conducted in several pharmaceutical distribution facilities such as the Health Office, Puskesmas, Hospitals, Pharmacies, and Pharmaceutical Wholesalers spread across Indonesia. All articles used descriptive methods to show the conformity of implementing Good Distribution Practices guidelines. Some studies still do not use the latest regulation, namely the Food and Drug Administration Regulation Number 6 of 2020 concerning Amendments to BPOM Regulation Number 9 of 2019 concerning Technical Guidelines for Good Distribution Methods. The suggestions that can be made include the need for studies related to the evaluation of Good Distribution Practices of pharmaceutical distribution facilities in the public or government sector and studies on distribution facilities in Eastern Indonesia
