Abstract

Pile cap as an important part used in construction engineering. Construction projects have a completion schedule, and pile caps as part of a construction project must not be delayed. The purpose of this study is to determine the factors that cause delays in Pile cap work. The analysis method to calculate the results of questionnaire distribution is simple correlation analysis. The results of this study indicate that there are seven factors causing delays Pile cap work on the Trans Studio Mall Makassar upgrade project, namely: (1) Lack of manpower, (2) Late delivery of materials, (3) Rainfall intensity factor, (4) Lack of labor expertise, (5) equipment shortage, (6) equipment damage, (7) the factor of the change of design by the owner. From the results of the calculation of the product moment correlation factor of the lack of labor with the Pearson correlation coefficient value of 0.821 has a very strong relationship.

Abstract

A construction project is a series of interrelated activities to achieve certain goals within a certain time, cost and quality limit. The purpose of this study is to analyze the factors that occur in overtime work and affect the quality of work on casting beams and plates on the second floor of the Trans Studio Makassar New Developmentproject. There are main factors that occur in overtime and affect the quality of work that can be concluded, namely: Factors of strict supervision at work, Factors of lack of labor expertise, Factors of worker inefficiencies due to too much work to be completed, Factors of lack of workers' rest time, Lighting factors when doing overtime work at night and Factors The existence of job guarantees can increase the morale of workers.

Abstract

Along with the development of the community's need for housing, it has an effect on the rapid development of construction projects in Indonesia, especially in this study, we will discuss apartment housing facilities. The purpose of this research is to understand the obstacles that occur in the basement work of the 31 Sudirman Suites Makassar development project and to analyze alternative scheduling of the basement work of the 31 Sudirman Suites Makassar project using the PERT method. Based on data analysis, it was found that the obstacles that occurred in the basement work of the 31 Sudirman Suites Makassar development project were work delays, changes in job specifications and waiting for confirmation of job specifications from the owner. alternative schedule using the PERT method, obtained a work completion time of 109 weeks while the initial planning time was 115 weeks. Thus scheduling using the PERT method is faster than the initial scheduling plan.

Abstract

Productivity as a measure of whether a project is implemented effectively and efficiently or not. Lack of awareness of productivity will be the cause of the low work produced resulting in large losses in the implementation of construction projects. To find out labor productivity in steelwork and installation of column formwork in the Airport Apartments project, the purpose of this study is to analyze labor productivity in column ironing and formwork installation in the Airport Apartment development project by comparing productivity in SNI. Data collection was carried out through direct surveys in the field by processing the data obtained. The data analysis method for calculating workforce performance uses a descriptive analysis method by calculating the productivity of each workforce. Based on the findings of the analysis and discussion carried out, it can be concluded from this study that the results of calculating the productivity of column work and comparing it with the reference (SNI 7394-2008) are accurate. It can be seen that the value of field productivity is 185.4333 Kg/Oh for iron work and 57 m²/Oh for formwork work. The productivity value according to SNI is 142.887 Kg/Oh for ironing work and 3.03 m²/Oh for formwork work. Then for comparison with references, there is a significant difference between field productivity and productivity calculated using references.

Abstract

One alternative to stabilize the soil is mixing fiber with soil. This study aims to determine the effect of adding fiber to the soil on the CBR value. The land was taken from the Tambasa road area, Tamalanrea District, Makassar City. Then, feature testing and compaction testing (standard proctor) were carried out to obtain optimum water content and after that proceed to CBR (Unsoaked design) testing. The results showed that the characteristics of the soil including clay and CBR testing on both samples obtained CBR values increased with the addition of 0.5% fiber and decreased with the addition of 0.75% and 1% fiber. From the research results, it is known that the more fiber added to the soil, the CBR value will decrease.

Abstract

In the process of building a construction, various difficulties can be encountered, including soil conditions that do not support being used as a basis for construction work. From this, researchers tried attempted to use direct shear testing to add lime and zeolite to clay soil in an effort to boost the soil's carrying capacity.  The purpose of this study is to use direct shear testing to ascertain the properties of the soil in Latuppa Village, Mungkajang District, Palopo City, as well as the impact of adding lime and zeolite to clay soil.  A mixture of 5% lime and varying amounts of 0%, 5%, 10%, and 15% zeolite were used in this test.  The two phases of this study were the 1) direct shear test and the 2) soil characteristics test. The soil is inorganic clay, according to the findings of tests conducted on its properties. The direct shear test results at point 1 of cohesion for the 5%+0% variation were 0.091 kg/cm2 and increased to the 5%+15% variation of 0.159 kg/cm2, the shear angle for the 5%+0% variation was 19.307° and increased to the 5%+15% variation of 26.691°. At point 2 the cohesion for the 5%+0% variation is 0.104 kg/cm2 and increases to the 5%+15% variation of 0.139 kg/cm2, the friction angle for the 5%+0% variation is 20.488° and increases to the 5%+15% variation of 26.860°. Likewise, at point 3, the cohesion obtained for the 5%+0% variation was 0.119 kg/cm2 and increased to the 5%+15% variation At 0.182 kg/cm2, the friction angle value rose to 25.521° for the 5%+15% variation from 19.785° for the 5%+0% variation.  Therefore, adding zeolite and lime can raise the cohesion value (c) and friction angle (ø) in the direct shear test.
