Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the extent to which the activeness and learning outcomes of elementary school students were increased through the Discovery Learning model. The method in this study was classroom action research.This classroom action research was conducted at SD N 1 Danguran Klaten. This research was conducted for 3 months starting from March to Mey 2021 The subjects in this study were 20 students at grade V. The steps of action research included planning, implementation, data collection, and reflection on each step for two cycles. The results of the study stated that students' understanding of the problem of ethnic and cultural diversity in Indonesia, in the first cycle of 7.01% and in the second cycle of 7.80%, was classified as good as well as about learning completion in the first cycle 74.82%. and in the second cycle it became 89.96%.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan analisis kebutuhan pengembangan model dan perangkatpembelajaran Bahasa Inggris Creative Problem Based Learning (CPBL) untuk meningkatkan kompetensi berbahasa Inggris dan mengembangkan karakter positif siswa Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK). Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tahap pertama dari dua tahap yang direncanakan. Strategi penelitian menggunakan studi deskriptif kualitatif yang melibatkan guru dan siswa di 10 SMK di wilayah Indonesia. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik kuesioner, observasi, dan wawancara. Untuk pemeriksaan derajad kepercayaan data digunakan teknik triangulasi. Data dianalisis dengan model interaktif (Miles& Huberman, 1994). Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa 100% guru dan 90% siswa menyambut baik upaya pengembangan model pembelajaran bahasa Inggris CPBL yang mengakomodasi kebutuhan pembelajaran di SMK. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa tingkat kebutuhan subjek pendidikan terhadap pengembangan model yang sesuai dengan konteks SMK sangat tinggi. Secara konseptual, model pembelajaran CPBL diyakini dapat menjadi solusi untuk pembelajaran bahasa Inggris di SMK.

Abstract

Multicultural Education plays a major role in Indonesian educational institutions. Our cultural, racial, religious, socioeconomic, and other distinctions are seen as particularly strong selling points for the United States. Although God has blessed us with a wide variety of people and cultures, this diversity frequently leads to friction between different social groupings and even individuals. Integrating ethical and spiritual principles into the classroom is what's known as "Character Education." Multicultural approaches to teaching and learning in the social studies might help defuse the tensions and conflicts that have arisen as a result of SARA, particularly in Indonesia. Students will develop more empathy and acceptance of those of different backgrounds if they study multicultural social issues. The purpose of this research is to assess how well students' religious tolerance incorporates Multicultural-Based Character Values into their social studies curriculum. Researchers used a qualitative methodology and conducted case studies for this investigation. Interviews, field notes, and other forms of documentation are used. Reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing/verification are the three methods of data analysis. The findings revealed that many children continue to have difficulties in communicating and interacting with both instructors and classmates as a consequence of linguistic and cultural differences. This causes several social behaviors in students, including low empathy, lack of mutual respect, and individualism. So, it is felt that there is a need to internalize multicultural values, especially the value of religious tolerance, togetherness, and mutual help, in the hope that students can coexist peacefully. The supporting factor is students' high motivation (internal and external motivation) and support from all Madrasah residents. In contrast, the inhibiting factor is the significant negative influence on students from the inappropriate environment.

Abstract

This study examines the improvement of the quality of education management, education personnel, and social studies subject educators. The study focuses on improving the quality of education management, educators, and education personnel, specifically in social studies subjects. The method used in this research is Library Research. The research stages include 1) Data collection, which is carried out by collecting written data from books, journals, and articles relevant to the model being analyzed, and 2) Data analysis, namely content analysis, where data obtained from literary reading materials is analyzed in depth. The result of this research is that improving the quality of Management is needed to improve the quality of educators in social studies subjects and education staff so that implementing activities in an educational institution runs optimally, effectively, and efficiently. Compared to the preceding years, the Management of educators and education workers at the school or institution that was visited has started showing signs of improvement in their overall performance. The use of certification and the supply of benefits as a mechanism to increase educator welfare is beginning to function even though there are still specific inadequacies in the system.
