Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh perlakuan benih pra tanam dengan menggunakan rizobakteri terhadap kualitas benih cabai merah dari benih kadaluarsa. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Ilmu dan Teknologi Benih Jurusan Agroteknologi Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Syiah Kuala, Banda Aceh. Penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) Non Faktorial dengan faktor, yaitu jenis rizobakteri 8 isolat: ASP 3/1, ASP 4/1, ASP 4/5, ASP 5/5, ASP 5/8, ASP 6/1, ASP 7/2 dan ASP 7/5, dan 1 kontrol sehingga keseluruhannya 9 perlakuan. Masing-masing diulang 3 kali dengan demikian ada 27 satuan percobaan. Setiap percobaan terdiri dari 20 benih sehingga terdapat 540 benih. Hasil penelitian: perlakuan benih menggunakan rizobakteri berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap tolok ukur potensi tumbuh maksimum, daya berkecambah, keserampakan tumbuh, waktu untuk mencapai 50% perkecambahan total relatif serta berat basah kecambah normal, dan berpengaruh nyata terhadap tolok ukur kecepatan tumbuh relatif, berat kering kecambah normal, dan tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap tolok ukur indeks vigor. Perlakuan benih menggunakan rizobakteri mampu meningkatkan viabilitas serta vigor benih cabai merah kadaluarsa dengan meningkatkan daya berkecambahnya hingga 375%. Pada fase perkecambahan benih cabai kadaluarsa yang mendapatkan perlakuan pra tanam dengan rizobakteri ASP 4/5 mampu meningkatkan kualitas benih cabai merah kadaluarsa pada tolok ukur potensi tumbuh maksimum, daya berkecambah, keserampakan tumbuh, kecepatan tumbuh relatif dan berat kering kecambah normal.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to improve students' mathematics learning outcomes using the Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT) approach. For this study, Classroom Action Research (CAR) was conducted in two cycles. The Kemmis and Taggart model includes four stages: planning, action, observation, and reflection. The participants were 32 seventh-grade students from SMP Negeri 5 Samarinda. Essay-type questions were used to collect research data. Quantitative analysis was the data analysis method used. According to data analysis, the proportion of students meeting the mathematics learning objectives in Cycle I was 59.37%. In Cycle II, the success rate increased to 93.75%. The CRT approach provided meaningful learning experiences for seventh-grade students, incorporating cultural components and improving learning outcomes. Including cultural components can attract students and enhance their mathematics learning outcomes. This indicates that after using the CRT technique, the seventh-grade students of SMP Negeri 5 Samarinda achieved their mathematics learning objectives with improved learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the level of understanding of fraction concepts among fourth-grade students at SDIT Al Hidayah Pekanbaru and to identify effective learning strategies. Mathematics, particularly the concept of fractions, often poses a significant challenge at the primary education level. The research employed a descriptive quantitative approach, with primary data collected through the distribution of a questionnaire to 30 students. This questionnaire was designed to measure the students' mastery level of basic concepts, operations, and application of fractions.The findings indicate that the students' level of understanding of fraction concepts is in the very good category. This is evidenced by the questionnaire data, where 63.33% of respondents selected the "Strongly Agree" category and 25.71% selected "Agree," resulting in a cumulative total of 89.04% positive responses. This strong positive dominance suggests that the majority of students have mastered the fundamental concepts and can apply them. The results support the idea that contextual, interactive teaching methods, coupled with the use of manipulative media (as also suggested by relevant studies), are highly effective in facilitating students' deep conceptual understanding. The main conclusion is that implementing learning approaches oriented toward real-world contexts, combined with the use of instructional media, significantly improves student comprehension of fraction material. These findings are expected to serve as a valuable reference for teachers and stakeholders in developing more innovative and effective teaching methods in Primary Schools.
