Abstract

Abstrak: Tujuan dari artikel ini adalah untuk mengeksplorasi beberapa potensi akademik dari penerapan model pembelajaran kontroversi terstruktur (structured controversy) serta tantangan yang mungkin dihadapi pendidik, khususnya dalam proses pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris sebagai bahasa asing di tingkat universitas. Structured controversy merupakan salah satu model pembelajaran kooperatif dengan mengeksplorasi penggunaan konflik intelektual untuk memfasilitasi peserta didik agar mereka dapat memperluas dan memperdalam pemahamannya terhadap masalah/topik yang dipelajari. Diyakini bahwa pelibatan peserta didik dalam proses kontroversi terstruktur dapat meningkatkan kemampuannya dalam menggali dan menyampaikan permasalahan akademis, menyelesaikan permasalahan yang dihadapi secara kolaboratif, dan menarik kesimpulan berdasarkan sudut pandang yang berbeda. Peserta didik lebih mampu menyampaikan argumen yang kuat dalam menentukan dan menafsirkan masalah, mengembangkan dan mengevaluasi solusi, menyusun rencana berdasarkan solusi yang dipilih, dan mampu merefleksi hasil belajar. Dalam artikel ini, ada tiga manfaat yang diperoleh ketika teknik kontroversi terstruktur diimplementasikan di kelas: (a) memberikan kesempatan luas bagi peserta didik untuk belajar bersama dalam situasi yang menantang dan bermakna, (b) memberikan peluang pada mereka untuk berproses bersama dengan teman sejawat dan negosiasi makna dalam proses interaksi diskusi, dan (c) meningkatkan kemampuan berfikir kritis mereka. Karena implementasi teknik ini membawa manfaat banyak dalam pembelajaran dan didukung dengan banyak teori serta hasil penelitian, disarankan bagi pendidik untuk mengintegrasikan praktik pembelajaran tersebut di kelas.

Abstract

Kekerasan seksual adalah salah satu masalah serius yang mempengaruhi banyak remaja diseluruh dunia, termasuk di Indonesia. Remaja SMA adalah kelompok yang rentan terhadap jeniskekerasan ini karena sedang mengalami masa transisi ke dewasa, di mana pengetahuan merekatentang seksualitas dan hak mereka seringkali masih terbatas. Pencegahan kekerasan seksualmerupakan tanggung jawab bersama dan membutuhkan kerjasama dari berbagai pihak, termasukpemerintah, lembaga pendidikan, komunitas, dan individu. Kasus-kasus kekerasan seksual dikalangan pelajar menjadi permasalahan utama terutama ketika hal itu terjadi di lingkungansekolah, keluarga, dan lainnya, tidak jarang kasus kekerasan seksual yang terjadi menyebabkantrauma bagi yang mengalaminya. metode yang akan digunakan meliputi: tahap Persiapan, tahapini merupakan tahap awal yaitu sosialisasi awal tentang pemahaman kekerasan seksual dandampaknya pada siswa, tahap Pelaksanaan kegiatan dengan menggunakan metode ceramah dandiskusi serta simulasi penanganan kekerasan seksual, dan tahap evaluasi dan feedback bertujuanuntuk mengetahu hasil pendampingan dan masukan serta saran untuk perbaikan yangberkelanjutan.

Abstract

Purpose: This study analyzes the efficiency of Islamic Public Financing Banks (BPRS) in Bengkulu and Lampung Provinces during 2019–2023 by examining two BPRS in Bengkulu and four BPRS in Lampung with the largest assets and operating for more than five years.Design/methodology: This research employs a quantitative approach using financial reports of BPRS in both provinces. Samples were determined through purposive sampling based on asset size and operational period. Efficiency was measured using the Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) method, which applies a linear programming system to construct a non-parametric frontier. The input variables were Third-Party Funds (DPK) and Operational Costs, while the output variables consisted of Fixed Assets, Financing, and Operational Income..Findings: The results indicate that several BPRS experienced inefficiencies. In Bengkulu, BPRS Maslahat Dana Syariah Nusantara was inefficient in 2022 due to high operational costs (+10.03%), low financing (-84.20%), and reduced operational income (-78.36%) caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. In Lampung, inefficiency was found in BPRS Kota Bumi (2019) due to high costs (-12.13%) and suboptimal financing and income; BPRS Metro Madani (2021–2022) due to rising costs (+4.51%) and mismatched financing growth; and BPRS Lampung Timur (2020) due to declining income (-4.91%). Overall, Lampung BPRS demonstrated higher efficiency, with an average score of 0.85 compared to Bengkulu’s 0.70, attributed to broader market access and stronger financial performance in urban-based BPRS.Practical Implication: The study highlights key challenges affecting BPRS efficiency, such as frequent regulatory changes and the economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. Strengthening fund allocation, improving cost management, and leveraging government policies on financial inclusion can enhance efficiency and market competitiveness.Originality/Value: This research provides new insights into the efficiency of BPRS in Bengkulu and Lampung by comparing their performance within a regional context. The findings underscore the strategic role of BPRS in supporting financial inclusion and ensuring compliance with sharia principles, while offering recommendations for improving operational sustainability

Abstract

This study primarily aims at capturing the nature of how highly proficiency learners (HPLs) employ noticing strategies in processing the indirect corrective feedback. The results of this study can be adapted by others learners to apply the strategy used by HPLs in noticing corrective feedback so that they can improve their writing ability. To meet the goal, a study on the way highly proficiency learners notice indirect corrective feedback that focused on three language aspects, i.e., lexis, grammar, and content was conducted. Observation and in depth- interview were used as the instruments to collect the data. The subjects chosen were six students who have a good performance on their writing. This study revealed that the HPLs are able to employ various noticing strategies when they are processing the indirect corrective feedback. They seem more cognizant of the problems they encounter and more capable of taking an action to respond the feedback given. Some noticing strategies are identified to apply in processing the feedback that are suited on the nature of the problems, such as by making any comparison, connection, correlation, identification of error, recalling the past experience/ knowledge and self-inquiry. However, three aspects that often applied by HPLs are identification of error well, recalling the past knowledge and self-inquiry.

Abstract

This research aimed to seek the light on how the advisors made a use of feedback during supervisory panel and find out how different ways and types of feedback impacted on student-writers’ thesis outcomes. Qualitative study was applied by involving three tenured lecturers at College of Islamic Studies, in Java as the research subjects. Two data collection techniques were applied, such as interview and documentation, to trace evidence on what types of feedback used, how students noticed, and how they impacted on subsequent drafts. This study revealed that indirect feedback using error codes and commentary was the most frequent form used during the advisory session. However, the mere use of feedback could only serve a short-term impact on the development of writing, and even it seemed only to spoon-feed them which could create burdens in writing. It was quite evident that engaging them in such self-regulated and interdependence group works, through problem-solving discussion and peer review, was much worthier as compared to only ask them to process the feedback themselves.

Abstract

English for Informatics Engineering (EIE, hereafter) is significantly requisite for tertiary students. Since EIE is one of English for Specific Purposes (ESP, hereafter) branches, it has particular inescapable characteristics. Teaching materials for EIE should be composed and delivered based on those attributes. Although the materials can be adapted from various resources, developing materials for EIE should definitely follow pedagogical standardized procedures. This article aims to present how material development for EIE is designed based on need analysis results described in a previous research (Nimasari, 2018) and developed according to a specific ESP teaching approach. This current study is a further examination of need analysis results implemented in a coursebook for Informatics Engineering students in a private university in Indonesia. As a part of research and development project research, this study focuses on developing preliminary form of product that includes a prototype of EIE coursebook development. A text-based instruction is utilized as a basis approach to design the EIE material. The results of this preliminary product are four lessons of EIE materials. While one lesson will be presented thoroughly in the discussion, the other three lessons will be attached in the appendix.

Abstract

Abstract. The reintegration of people with schizophrenia to return to society often has to experience obstacles due to repeated relapses caused by multiple factors such as non-adherence to medication or certain social pressures that trigger the emergence of schizophrenia symptoms. The implications of recurrence are closely related to the decrease in the ability to carry out social functions, so they have the potential to lose their jobs, cannot continue their education, and have estranged social relations. There is a phenomenon that several people with schizophrenia who have had recurrent experiences can reintegrate into their social environment. Therefore, this study aims to describe the process of reintegration of people with schizophrenia who experience repeated relapses into society. The research method used is qualitative, with a case study approach on four people with schizophrenia living in four locations in Jakarta. The results of this study indicate that the two elements are operational and interrelated with each other. First, the main element is the individualistic internal process of people with schizophrenia which includes aspects of spirituality, cognition, and mental and social. Second, the enabling element, namely friends/friends and family who work to increase the chances of people with schizophrenia regaining self-stability to reintegrate into their social environment. Success in the social reintegration process allows people with schizophrenia to carry out their social functions as members of society, such as working, having a family, interacting naturally, and overcoming the fear of stigma and discrimination. Keywords: Relapse, Reintegration, People with Schizophrenia. Abstrak. Reintegrasi orang dengan skizofrenia untuk kembali ke masyarakat seringkali harus mengalami hambatan akibat kekambuhan berulang yang disebabkan oleh multifaktor seperti ketidakpatuhan minum obat atau tekanan sosial tertentu sehingga memicu munculnya gejala skizofrenia. Implikasi kekambuhan sangat erat kaitannya dengan penurunan kemampuan melaksanakan fungsi sosialnya sehingga berpotensi kehilangan pekerjaan, tidak dapat melanjutkan sekolah, dan kerenggangan hubungan sosial. Terdapat  fenomena sejumlah orang dengan skizofrenia yang memiliki pengalaman kambuhan, ternyata mampu terintegrasi kembali dengan lingkungan sosialnya. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan tentang proses reintegrasi orang dengan skizofrenia yang mengalami kekambuhan berulang ke masyarakat. Metode penelitian yang dipergunakan adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus pada empat orang dengan skizofrenia yang berdomisili di empat lokasi berbeda di Jakarta. Hasil penelitian ini menyatakan bahwa terdapat dua elemen yang beroperasional serta saling berkaitan satu sama lain. Pertama, elemen utama yaitu proses internal orang dengan skizofrenia yang bersifat individualistik yang meliputi aspek spiritualitas, kognisi dan mental, serta sosial. Kedua, elemen pemungkin yaitu teman/sahabat dan keluarga yang bekerja untuk memperbesar peluang orang dengan skizofrenia meraih kembali stabilitas diri agar mampu terintegrasi kembali dengan lingkungan sosialnya. Keberhasilan dalam proses reintegrasi sosial memungkinkan orang dengan skizofrenia mampu melaksanakan kembali fungsi sosialnya sebagai anggota masyarakat seperti bekerja, berkeluarga, berinteraksi secara wajar dan mampu mengatasi ketakutan stigma dan diskriminasi.  Kata kunci: Kekambuhan, Reintegrasi, Orang Dengan Skizofrenia.
