Abstract

This research aims to find out and analyze the theoretical and relevance of Muhammadiyah ijtihad in responding to contemporary problems in Ambon City. This research uses a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. The descriptive method is based on approaches or book sources that are already known. Meanwhile, qualitative approach research is a way to answer research problems by assembling the data obtained. The research results show that Muhammadiyah's Ijtihad in responding to contemporary problems in Ambon City is not discriminatory. Muhammadiyah's Ijtihad in responding to modern problems (gender, feminism, and pluralism) in Ambon City does not conflict with the Qur’an and al-Hadith. Muhammadiyah's Ijtihad decision in Ambon City still refers to the Ijtihad decision of Muhammadiyah Central Leadership.

Abstract

This study presents a theoretical analysis of the imagination of nationalism which can become an epistemic anchor when discussing the idea of nationalism and its relevance for contemporary society. With a qualitative descriptive approach, the imagination of nationalism is analyzed as a theoretical perspective on nationalism which is very important when faced with various problems in global society today. These issues include the struggle for justice, freedom, human rights, and most recently the development of digitalization which can undermine the life of a nation. This theoretical idea of nationalistic imagination was built in discussing a social problem of indigenous peoples who were displaced by waves of capitalism that used state power to encroach on the living existence space of a group of indigenous peoples. This research, in the end, presents various theoretical perspectives regarding the imagination of nationalism which can enliven the discourse on various nationalist issues today.

Abstract

A creative Economy is a concept in the new economic era, which relies on information and creativity, ideas, and a stock of knowledge from human resources and is the main production factor in economic activity. Anticipating the challenges of globalized creative economy competition, a number of strategies need to be prepared, including strengthening digital infrastructure and digital talent of human resources. Ambon, the capital of Maluku Province, has only 1,304 entrepreneurs using the internet, and 34,833 out of 36,137 entrepreneurs do not use it. This phenomenon illustrates that most entrepreneurs running their businesses are still conventional or do not use digital platforms. Using qualitative research methods, and SWOT analysis, the results of this study illustrate that the strategies that can be expected from the Regional Government are: (1) strengthening digital infrastructure, (2) improving the quality of human resources in order to adapt through literacy movements, (3) strengthening the innovation ecosystem with collaboration between the Government, entrepreneurs, universities, (4) guaranteeing ease of doing business, and (5) assistance and supervision to the entrepreneurs.
