Abstract

Telok Selong Ulu Village and Telok Selong Village are included in the West Martapura District, Banjar Regency, around 50% of residents live on the banks of the Martapura River, they rely on river water for bathing, washing and toileting (MCK). Every year these two villages are often affected by quite severe flooding, the river water looks very murky and brown. River water can no longer be consumed as before and the community's life is still classified as lower middle class, as informed by the village head. They hope that there will be support from the government or other parties who can help overcome clean water problems, especially during floods which actually cause a clean water crisis. The aim of this community service activity is that community groups are able to process clean water that meets health requirements. The solution offered is to train cadres of working groups that have been formed and apply the results of research on processing river water into clean water. The target indicator for the achievement of community service activities is the formation of a water processing working group in village communities that is skilled and efficient (able to process clean water and prepare the equipment). Apart from that, it is hoped that it will act as a trigger for the academic community to continue to take action in order to improve the level of public health, especially on river banks. Water processing group cadres are expected to always practice their abilities in water processing using DSRF-USRF reactors for daily water supply that meets health requirements. Apart from that, it is hoped that it can share information with local residents who are experiencing difficulties in providing clean water.

Abstract

Lalat merupakan hama rumah tangga yang tidak hanya menyebabkan ketidaknyamanan, tetapi juga dapat menyebarkan penyakit, salah satu penyakit yang disebabkan oleh lalat adalah penyakit diare. Oleh karena itu diperlukan pengendalian lalat yang aman bagi lingkungan yaitu menggunakan bahan alami atau nabati yang bahan bakunya berasal dari tumbuhan. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu Mengetahui efektivitas larutan kencur (Kaempferia galanga) dan larutan jahe (Zingiber officinale) sebagai repellent semprot terhadap vektor lalat. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen yaitu quasi exsperiment dengan rancangan desain penelitian Posstest Only Control Group Design. Sampel pada penelitian ini yaitu lalat yang berada di alam bebas yang hinggap di Fly grill dan pengulangan (replikasi) 4 kali. Analisis statistik menggunakan Two Way Anova. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa efektivitas antara larutan kencur (Kaempferia galanga) dan larutan jahe (Zingiber officinale) ada perbedaan yang signifikan. Perbedaan tersebut terdapat pada daya tolak kedua jenis repellent yaitu repellent larutan kencur (Kaempferia galanga) konsentrasi 65 persen sebesar 76,6 persen dan repellent larutan jahe (Zingiber officinale) konsentrasi 65 persen sebesar 86,6 persen. Dari penelitian ini maka disarankan untuk masyarakat agar dapat menggunakan larutan kencur (Kaempferia galanga) dan larutan jahe (Zingiber officinale) sebagai repellent semprot terhadap vaktor lalat yang aman bagi lingkungan.

Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh lama bekerja dan posisi kerja terhadap keluhan nyeri punggung bawah pada penjahit pakaian. Jenis penelitian ini adalah analitik, desain penelitian menggunakan cross sectional. Populasi pada penelitian ini berjumlah 45 penjahit dan sampel penelitian diambil dari kriteria inklusi yang didapatkan 30 penjahit pakaian. Analisis data menggunakan uji Spearman Rank Correlation. Hasil uji statistik menunjukkan bahwa ada pengaruh lama bekerja terhadap keluhan nyeri punggung bawah p = 0,000 < 0,05 nilai koefisien (r) 0,671 artinya kekuatan korelasi kuat dan ada pengaruh posisi kerja terhadap keluhan nyeri punggung bawah p = 0,000 < 0,05 nilai koefisien (r) yaitu 0,694 artinya kekuatan korelasi kuat. Disarankan untuk melakukan peregangan sekitar 3 menit setelah 2 jam bekerja. Memperhatikan posisi ergonomis baik postur badan yang tidak membungkuk ke depan dan posisi telapak kaki menapak ke lantai serta ditunjang dengan kursi kerja sesuai dengan postur tubuh penjahit. This type of research is analytic, the research design uses cross sectional. The population in this study amounted to 45 tailors and the research sample was taken from the inclusion criteria obtained by 30 tailors. Data analysis using the Spearman Rank Correlation test. The results of statistical tests show that there is an effect of length of work on complaints of low back pain p = 0.000 <0.05 the coefficient value (r) is 0.671 meaning the strength of the correlation is strong and there is an effect of work position on complaints of low back pain p = 0.000 <0.05 the coefficient value (r) is 0.694 meaning the strength of the correlation is strong. It is recommended to stretch for about 3 minutes after 2 hours of work. Pay attention to ergonomic positions both posture that does not bend forward and the position of the soles of the feet on the floor and supported by a work chair according to the posture of the tailor. Abstract

Suboptimal organic waste management often becomes a source of environmental pollution and health risks. In an effort to address this issue, lecturers from Poltekkes Kemenkes Banjarmasin implemented a community service program focusing on Clean and Healthy Lifestyle (PHBS) education and training on converting organic waste into economically valuable briquettes. The methods used included socialization, education about the negative impacts of waste burning, and training on briquette production using simple molding tools. Assistance and marketing guidance were also provided to support activity sustainability. This program involved the Sungai Landas Village community and community groups at the Cahaya Kencana landfill. Results showed significant improvement in community knowledge about organic waste management (from 45% to 85%) and waste sorting abilities (from 35% to 80%). Positive impacts were also observed in the community's commitment to implementing PHBS, which increased from 40% to 75%. Recommendations from this activity include the need for continuous support from the village government to provide small-scale waste management facilities, advanced training to expand community skills, and the formation of joint business groups to increase production capacity and briquette marketing. This program has the potential to be replicated in other villages to enhance economic independence and environmental quality sustainably.

Abstract

Introduction: Astambul Subdistrict in Banjar Regency is classified as a flood-prone area. Such regions tend to experience a decline in clean water quality. In Astambul, no mapping has been conducted regarding clean water quality based on water management and land conditions to improve clean water quality in flood-prone areas. This study aims to analyze the availability of clean water sources in flood-prone areas using geoelectrical methods and Geographic Information Systems (GIS). Methods: This study used a quantitative research design with a cross-sectional method to analyze clean water sources using geoelectric and Geographic Information System (GIS) methods. This study was conducted in five villages in Banjar Regency, South Kalimantan Province. Testing using the geoelectrical method was conducted at five locations in five villages, while the GIS method was used at 30 locations across the five villages. Results and Discussion: The geoelectric method showed that 4 villages had turbid water quality, and 1 village had very turbid water. The GIS (Geographic Information System) method indicated that the parameters for turbidity, iron (Fe), manganese (Mn), and coliforms did not meet the standards. The average values of Dissolved Oxygen (DO), Total Dissolved Solids (TDS), Total Suspended Solids (TSS), and turbidity are 8.03 mg/L, 179.27 mg/L, 0.22 mg/L, and 17.23 NTU, respectively. The average values for pH, iron (Fe), and manganese (Mn) are 6.44, 0.68 mg/L, and 21.02 mg/L, respectively. Conclusion: Based on Geoelectric and Geographic Information System analysis, the Astambul District area has clean water sources that are still below quality standards.
