Abstract

Kebahagiaan bukan hanya ketentraman dan kenyamanan. Kenyamanan atau kesenangan satu saat saja tidak melahirkan kebahagiaan, akan tetapi kebahagiaan meliputi kelestarian menetap dalam perasaan diri.Selama ini bahagia diukur dari banyaknya harta, jabatan yang dimiliki, banyaknya keturunan, gelar yang disandang, serta populeritas yang dibanggakan, ternyata semua semu, bahkan terkadang seiring perjalanan sering membawa dampak buruk dalam menjalani kehidupan manusia, dan bahagia tentunya adalah menjalani semua perintah Allah SWT suatu perbuatan yang membawa bahagia, tidak saja berbahagia di atas bumi ini, akan tetapi bahagia sampai akherat. bahagia hanya dapat dicapai dengan menjadikan diri sebagai bagian dari sang Pencipta, artinya adalah selalu memerankan diri, selalu menyesuaikan antara keinginan roh dan jasmani selalu seiring dan sejalan. Abstract

Background: The integration of emotional and spiritual aspects through the ESQ approach is vital in modern counseling, while parental consent for minors remains a crucial ethical and legal concern, questioning its role as a requirement or necessity for effective practice. Objective: This study aims to examine the urgency of the Emotional Spiritual Quotient (ESQ) approach and its relevance in individual counseling practice based on the thoughts of Ary Ginanjar Agustian. Method: This research uses a literature review design using primary and secondary data sources. Data were collected through documentation from books and scientific journals and then analyzed using the content analysis method. Data validity was tested through discussion with peers and triangulation. Results: The ESQ approach offers a new paradigm in counseling, where spiritual values are used as the core in helping individuals face life's challenges. It goes beyond traditional methods, focusing only on emotional and cognitive aspects. Conclusion: The ESQ approach highlights the importance of integrating Emotional Quotient (EQ) and Spiritual Quotient (SQ) to guide individuals in overcoming life's challenges. Contribution: ESQ makes a significant contribution by integrating the spiritual dimension into modern counseling practices, which previously often neglected the aspect of spirituality.

Abstract

This article examines Matthieu Ricard's concept of altruism and Ibn Miskawaih's Islamic ethics. The main issue discussed is how these two different philosophical traditions view altruism and whether the integration of the two can provide a more comprehensive understanding of universal moral values. The main research question is how the spiritual compassion emphasized by Ricard and the rational virtues proposed by Ibn Miskawaih can be synthesized into a whole framework of altruism. The method used is a comparative philosophical approach with the data analysis techniques applied in this study are interpretive descriptive analysis, analyzing primary suber and literature related to the discussion being studied and the ethical principles of the two thinkers to find similarities and differences. The findings of the study suggest that Ricard highlights enlightenment and universal happiness through compassion, while Ibn Miskawaih emphasizes happiness and rational virtue as the basis of moral behavior. This article introduces the concept of transcendental altruism, a synthesis that combines compassion with rational virtue, offering a holistic approach to the ethics of altruism that transcends cultural and religious boundaries. This perspective enriches the theoretical discourse on altruism while also providing practical implications for fostering moral universality in diverse societies. This study contributes to contemporary ethics by showing how cross-cultural philosophical dialogue can deepen our understanding of altruism as a fundamental value of humanity.

Abstract

Abstract: This research reveals the closeness of the characters to their God through various aspects of Sufistic values. The research also aims to find out if these five aspects are in accordance with the stages. In collecting data, the method used was reading thoroughly and repeatedly using note-taking methods and the approach used was descriptive qualitative research. The results of the research and discussion show that in the novel Hijrah Itu Cinta by Abay Adhitya there are Sufistic values which involve five things, namely (1) Sufistic values viewed from the aspect of repentance. (2) Sufistic values viewed from the aspect of patience, (3) Sufistic values viewed from the poor aspect, (4) Sufistic values viewed from the ascetic aspect, and (5) Sufistic values viewed from the aspect of tawakal. The data found through the dialogue of the characters has shown its relevance in everyday life.Keywords: Sufistic values, morals, and spiritual practices. Abstrak: Penelitian ini mengungkapkan kedekatan para tokoh dengan Tuhannya melalui berbagai aspek nilai sufistik. Penelitian juga bertujuan untuk menggali dan menganalisis nilai sufistik yang terdapat pada novel yang menjadi objek penelitian. Dalam mengumpulkan data, metode yang digunakan adalah membaca secara menyeluruh dan berulang-ulang menggunakan metode catat dan pendekatan yang digunakan yaitu deskriptif jenis penelitian kualitatif. Hasil penelitian dan pembahasan menunjukkan bahwa dalam novel Hijrah Itu Cinta karya Abay Adhitya terdapat nilai-nilai sufistik yang menyangkut lima hal yakni (1) Nilai sufistik ditinjau dari aspek taubat.(2) Nilai sufistik ditinjau dari aspek sabar, (3) Nilai sufistik ditinjau dari aspek mahabbah, (4) nilai sufistik ditinjau dari aspek zuhud, dan (5) Nilai sufistik ditinjau dari aspek tawakal. Data-data yang ditemukan melalui dialog para tokoh sudah menunjukkan bahwa relevansinya dalam kehidupan sehari-hari.Kata kunci: Nilai sufistik, moral, dan praktik spiritual.
