Abstract

Abstract: This article is an intertextual study of Judaeo­?Islamic texts with the Itihasa. This research explores the discourse of Semitic and Aryan texts already canonized in cultural artifacts of Abrahamic and Brahmanic traditions which require a parallelization of substantive messages. It is not only depending on comparative linguistic similarities but also referring to the common theological formula surrounding the text in a chain of traditions which created the text. The text cannot be regarded as an independent text but have to be understood through the process of ?reading? in a context that can be ascertained to have a close relationship with other texts. It exists as a weave of discourses which are surrounding the text through the process of adoption, adaptation, and reformulation of the text that has been established in the context of a sequence of tradition inheritance. The study of cultural semiotics readable through the text is not intended to vulgarly expose the text that deviates from the hiperreality context of the text an sich. Instead, it aims to explain the ?marker? in the text across boundaries of times, geographies, languages, and common traditions through the system of transmission. This article uses a semiotic theory proposed by Julia Kristeva. Abstrak: Tulisan ini merupakan studi intertekstualitas teks Judaeo­?Islam dengan teks Itihasa. Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi wacana teks rumpun Semit dan Arya yang terekam dalam artefak kebudayaan bertradisi Abrahamik dan Brahmanik yang meniscayakan pararelisasi pesan substantif. Pararelisasi pesan tidak hanya berpijak pada latar similaritas linguistik tetapi juga merujuk pada kesejajaran formula teologis yang melingkupi teks dalam rentetan tradisi yang melahirkan teksnya. Teks tidak dapat dipandang sebagai sebuah teks yang independen, tetapi harus dipahami melalui proses ?pembacaan? dalam konteksnya yang dapat dipastikan berkaitan erat dengan teks liyan. Teks hadir sebagai sebuah tenunan wacana yang melingkupi penjadian teks melalui proses adopsi, adaptasi, maupun reformulasi teks yang telah mapan dalam konteks rangkaian pewarisan tradisi. Kajian semiotika kultural yang terbaca tidak dimaksudkan untuk menelanjangi wacana teks secara vulgar yang teralienasi dari konteks hiperealitas teksnya, tetapi bertujuan untuk menjelaskan ?penanda? dalam teks yang melintas batas zaman, geografis, bahasa, maupun tradisi serumpun melalui sistem transmisinya. Abstract

The discussion of this article is devoted to delineating the differences and even conflicting characteristics between these two sorts of the Japanese literature. Embedded within the two mentioned social and cultural groups of the Javanese, the priyayi and the santri, the two Javanese literature presented the discourses which are not only different but also disagreement between each other. In the nineteenth century Java, and also the Indonesian archipelago at large, due to the Dutcb colonial government, these mentioned two social and cultural of the Javanese developed into respectively distinct and even conflicting groups.DOI: 10.15408/sdi.v9i3.662

Abstract

Masyarakat Bawean dikenal memiliki tradisi merantau. Keberlangsungan tradisi merantau yang sudah turun-temurun menjadikan masyarakat Bawean tersebar dan eksis di beberapa kawasan Nusantara dan beberapa negara seperti di Malaysia, Singapura, Vietnam, dan Pulau Cristmas. Kampung Boyan merupakan salah satu ciri komunitas orang Bawean di perantauan. Tujuan penelitian ini menemukan dan mendeskripsikan nilai-nilai solidaritas yang menjadi kearifan lokal dari tradisi merantau masyarakat Bawean. Metode deskriptif kualitatif menjadi ancangan kajian. Dalam hal ini, peneliti mendeskripsikan secara menyeluruh dan mendalam nilai-nilai solidaritas dari tradisi merantau masyarakat Bawean. Hasil dan pembahasan menunjukkan bahwa nilai solidaritas tradisi merantau masyarakat Bawean terimplementasi pada pengawal dan Kampung Boyan, ngater-ngateraken. Harapan dan keberhasilan merantau dijiwai sikap futuristik dengan kerja keras, saling menghormati, kerja sama, saling membantu pemenuhan kebutuhan, saling percaya, tolong-menolong, toleransi, dan penyelesaian persoalan dengan baik melalui solidaritas yang tetap terjaga.

Abstract

This paper examines a late 19th-century brochure entitled ‘Perdjalanan ke-‘Tanah-Tjoetji’ (A Pilgrimage to the ‘Holy Land’) written by Dja Edar Moeda, a Dutch-educated native teacher and a pioneer journalist and vernacular press entrepreneur in Sumatra. The text offers a critical perspective on the Hajj, differing from the majority of this corpus, which tends to show religious enthusiasm and saintly connotations. This paper demonstrates that the ‘deviant’ voice on the Hajj in the Brochure reflects the author’s concerns. As a native intellectual and religious modernist with a Western-secular education, he worries about the fate of his fellow native pilgrims, who are often victimised by rampant fraudulent practices in the organisation of the Hajj due to their illiteracy, map illiteracy, innocence, naivety and tendency to be submissive in their religious practice. In this respect, the Brochure indirectly criticises the Dutch East Indies colonial authority’s deficiencies in organising the pilgrimage and protecting the pilgrims as its colonial subjects.

Abstract

Artikel ini bertujuan untuk melacak dan mendeskripsikan representasi manifesto messianisme Java pada ranah karya-karya sastra keraton. Sejak semula, masyarakat Jawa memiliki ideologi tentang manifesto messianisme sebagai identitas kultural. Pada ranah politik kerajaan Jawa, sebenarnya ideologi ini dianggap sebagai wahana orientasi kosmik. Sejak era kerajaan Kediri, masa kebudayaan Jawa-Kuna (Jawa Hindu-Buddha), hingga era kerajaan Mataram, masa kebudayaan Jawa-Islam; para 'rakawi' dan 'pujangga' telah mengadopsi, mengembangkan, mengkristalkan, mereformulasikan, bahkan telah merekayasa ulang tentang episteme messianik Jawa melalui proses pengimitasian konsep messianisme Kitab-kitab Suci dari peradaban Semit (Arab) dan Arya (India). Temuan yang berkaitan dengan pengaruh kultur keagamaan manca tentang manifesto messianisme asing dalam teks-teks tertulis berbahasa Jawa, dapat dianalisis melalui karya-karya sastra keraton yang menyuarakan kronologi profetisme Jawa, seperti Kakawin Bharatayudha, Kakawin Sutasoma, dan Kitab Primbon Quraisy Adammakna. Dalam sejarah sastra Jawa, karya-karya sastra yang bersifat messianik, yang digubah oleh para penulis keraton, kenyataannya telah menciptakan konsep yang tidak berbeda, meskipun mereka menggunakan istilah-istilah religiositas dari agama Hindu, Buddha, maupun Islam. Dalam konteks ini, ideologi messianistik Jawa dapat diidentifikasi dan direpresentasi melalui dua hal (1) orientasi messiansime etnik yang merujuk pada paradigma identitas kultural Jawa, dan (2) orientasi eskatologi messianisme Jawa Islam.Key words : Hindu, Buddha, Islam, Indic, Semitic, Brahmanic, Abrahamic, incarnation, Javanese, messianic episteme.

Abstract

This article is about a research describing a discourse on the clash ofcivilizations represented in the person of Mahoud, the Hellenized Islamic prophetin the pejorative novel of the Western World The Satanic Verses by SalmanRushdie, who was born in the Bhí£rat tradition of India. As a famous novel in thatworld, The Satanic Verses politically represents a hegemony in discourse of asecretive quantum literary industry to create a clash in civilization between theEast and the West through a deconstuction of religious power.The research employs a descriptive qualitative technique in the dataanalysis, which is textually done by understanding (1) the position of SalmanRushdie as a Indian-English author toward the well-known Islamic religioussymbols in creating the representation and (2) his way in representing Mahoud theprophet in the novel.The research uses Stuart Hall's and Michel Foucault's theory ofrepresentation. As a result, the analysis shows that The Satanic Verses as a novel byan author of Indian and English blood offers a literary discourse as an imaginativepolitical manisfesto through the projection of language power. Obviously, theimaginative discourse also shows how the Indian-English author has an absolutecontrol over the literary language play used in the representation of religioussymbols.Keywords: Bhí£rat, the West, Islam, Indian-English author, The Satanic Verses

Abstract

Aplikasi (Public Safety Center) PSC 119 SIBANGJO merupakan sebuah aplikasi berbasis website dimana digunakan sebagai penunjang dalam bidang Sistem Informasi Pasien pada pelayanan kegawatdaruratan. Dalam penggunaannya aplikasi PSC tersebut sudah memberikan beberapa fitur yang cukup kompleks, selain itu pengguna atau user juga dapat kemudahan dalam pengaksesan aplikasi tersebut, hal ini merupakan pengaruh dari usability yang ada. Usability test melakukan pengujian bagaimana pengguna menggunakan dan memahami aplikasi dan mengukur seberapa puas menggunakannya. Kemudian untuk menilai usability testing dari aplikasi diperlukan aspek penilaian digunakan alat bantu testing aplikasi. Pada penelitian ini dilakukan pengujian pada aplikasi PSC 119 SIBANGJO untuk melihat fungsi-fungsi halaman yang ada. Oleh karena itu, perlu dilakukan pengujian aplikasi pada aspek penggunaan serta aksesibilitas dengan tujuan agar pengguna nyaman menggunakan aplikasi tersebut serta kita dapat mengetahui beberapa masalah yang ada pada aplikasi PSC. Untuk melakukan pengujian aplikasi tersebut digunakan sebuah Software testing yakni PowerMapper dengan memiliki beberapa aspek pengujian yakni Overall quality, Errors, Accessibility, Compatibility, Search engine, Standard (W3C) dan pengujian Usability. Hasil dari pengujian aplikasi tersebut ditemukan bahwa masih terdapat beberapa permasalahan tetapi tidak mempengaruhi kinerja dari fitur aplikasi PSC tersebut, sehingga dapat dikatakan bahwa Aplikasi PSC 119 SIBANGJO layak untuk digunakan sebagaimana mestinya
