Abstract

This study aims to discover the communication media Dalihan Na Tolu in the marriage tradition of Mandailing Ethnic in Mandailing Natal regency. This study applied descriptive qualitative. The direct observation in the field was employed to obtain the data by doing a sequence of stages namely observing and watching the marriage tradition procession from the beginning until the end, in-depth interview to some traditional figures and documentation related to the research. The result of the study demonstrates two media are used in the communication media Dalihan Na Tolu in the marriage tradition of Mandailing Natal ethnic, they are traditional media and modern media. The traditional media consists of sirih (betel), salipi, gondang tunggu-tunggu, ogung, and pangupa. Moreover, the modern media consists of wedding invitation card, flower board, telephone, smartphone, social media and radio.

Abstract

Kegiatan Dakwah merupakan wujud dari pengembangan ajaran Agama Islam. Dengan melalui dakwah maka kita dapat menikmati indahnya ajaran Agama Islam. Kegiatan dakwah merupakan keharusan yang melekat dalam diri setiap muslim untuk merealisasikannya dalam bentuk, metode, serta konsep yang kondisional, Seperti halnya kegiatan dakwah dalam pengembangan agama di Masjid Raya Al-Mukminin Desa Pakpahan. Melihat sangat pentingnya Kegiatan dakwah dalam pengembangan agama, maka yang menjadi latar belakang rumusan masalah diatas adalah: memperhatikan bagaimana pelaksanaan kegiatan dakwah dalam pengembangan agama di Masjid Raya Al-Mukminin Desa Pakpahan, Kemudian apa saja tantangan dalam kegiatan dakwah dalam pengembangan Agama di Masjid Raya Al-Mukminin Desa Pakpahan. Dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif dan analisis data yang bersifat deskriptif, maka metode ini memiliki fungsi sebagai prosedur dalam penelusuran masalah yang akan diteliti dengan menggambarkan obyek dan subyek penelitian sesuai fakta dilapangan. Kemudian dalam pengumpulan datanya melalui observasi, dokumentasi dan wawancara berdasarkan penelitian yang kami laksanakan. Dengan adanya agenda kegiatan dakwah di Masjid Raya Al-Mukminin Desa Pakpahan, merupakan upaya untuk menyebarluaskan ajaran islam dan sekaligus mengupayakan pengembangan agama khususnya pada lingkungan yang minoritas. Sehingga dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwasannya pengelolaan kegiatan dakwah Masjid Raya Al-Mukminin Desa Pakpahan memiliki agenda dakwah yang terarah dan terstruktur dalam setiap agenda dakwahnya.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the significant impact of interpersonal communication on overall organisational performance. This type of research is a meta-analysis research. The inclusion criteria in the study are research from national or international journals indexed by SINTA and Scopus, research related to personal communication on organisational performance, research published in 2020-2024, and attach complete data in analysing the effect size value. The analysis includes a comprehensive review of the existing literature on the topic, covering a range of industries and organisational settings. The results of the meta-analysis indicated a strong positive influence between interpersonal communication and organisational performance with a value of rES=0.818; z= 0.629; p < 0.001) with a high effect size category. Furthermore, this study revealed that effective interpersonal communication can increase employee engagement, enhance collaboration, and improve problem-solving ability, which ultimately results in better organisational outcomes. The findings also highlight the importance of considering individual differences, such as personality traits and job complexity, in understanding the impact of interpersonal communication on organisational performance. The research has significant implications for organisational leaders and managers, who emphasise the importance of fostering a culture of open and effective communication within their organisations. Abstract

Radio StArt FM merupakan salah satu media komunikasi yang masih eksis di era digital, khususnya di Kabupaten Mandailing Natal. Sebagai radio yang berorientasi pada pelestarian budaya, StArt FM menghadapi tantangan akibat perkembangan teknologi dan arus globalisasi. Untuk mengatasi hal tersebut, strategi digitalisasi diterapkan dengan mengembangkan platform streaming, media sosial, serta konten berbasis budaya Mandailing. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilakukan dengan beberapa tahapan, seperti analisis situasi, pelatihan digitalisasi penyiaran, penguatan konten budaya, kolaborasi dengan komunitas, serta evaluasi dan monitoring. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa digitalisasi mampu meningkatkan kualitas siaran, memperluas jangkauan audiens, serta memperkuat interaksi dengan masyarakat. Meskipun demikian, terdapat kendala seperti keterbatasan infrastruktur digital dan literasi digital penyiar yang masih perlu ditingkatkan. Upaya berkelanjutan, seperti pelatihan serta kerja sama dengan pemerintah dan komunitas lokal, menjadi langkah strategis dalam menjaga eksistensi dan fungsi radio sebagai media edukasi serta pelestarian budaya di era digital.

Abstract

This research examines women's leadership roles in enhancing dakwah program management at As-Salmaniyah Al-Yusufiah Tahfidz Islamic Boarding School, Mandailing Natal Regency, North Sumatra—the sole female-led pesantren among 270 institutions in the region. Despite persistent patriarchal cultural norms, women's leadership demonstrates substantial effectiveness in Islamic educational contexts through transformational approaches integrating participatory decision-making (musyawarah), exemplary behavior (uswah hasanah), and spiritual development (tazkiyatun nafs). This qualitative case study employed in-depth interviews with pesantren leadership, teachers, students, and community members, direct observations of dakwah program implementation, and document analysis of institutional records from March to June 2025. Findings reveal measurable impacts: student enrollment increased from 220 (2018) to 318 (2024), representing 44.5% growth; complete Qur'an memorization achievement rose from 8 students (3.6%) to 35 students (11%); Musabaqah Tilawatil Qur'an competition winners increased from 5 to 25 students; and 40% of alumni gained acceptance to State Islamic Universities. External collaboration generated IDR 500 million in waqf funding (300% increase) and expanded dakwah programs to 10 surrounding villages. While facing challenges including patriarchal resistance, limited resources, and dual domestic-professional roles, female leadership successfully employs adaptive strategies emphasizing Islamic role models, external partnerships, spiritual guidance, and economic empowerment. This research contributes theoretically by validating transformational leadership theory within Islamic boarding school contexts and practically by providing replicable best practice models for gender-inclusive pesantren management.
