Abstract

This study aims to determine the impact of work motivation to see the performance of room attendant employees at Swiss-Bel Hotel Batam. With qualitative research methods that aim to find out in depth about the opinions and perspectives of each resource person regarding the impactt of work motivation to see the performance of room attendant employees. The assessment of work motivation variables is examined from external and internal factors of work motivation itself. The results of this study indicate that work motivation affects the performance of room attendant employees at Swiss-Bel Hotel Batam. The results of this study also indicate that the external motivational factor which is very influential is an indicator of working conditions, while the working conditions in question are that the room attendants at Swiss-Bel Hotel Batam do not make employees comfortable at work so that the employee turnover rate is high. The internal factor of work motivation which is very influential is the indicator of HR selection, namely to get the opportunity for promotion without having to see how the kinship relationship with the employee of the room attendant concerned.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of work discipline, QWL and work environment on work motivation and its impact on the performance of MSME employees in Pasuruan Regency. The data of this study were obtained from questionnaires, observations and related literature studies according to the research objectives. The analysis technique uses path analysis with SPSS program. The number of samples is 95 respondents using the incidental sampling technique. The results showed that the variables of work discipline, QWL and work environment had a significant effect either partially or simultaneously on work motivation. Performance of Pasuruan Regency MSME employees. The results showed that work discipline, QWL and work environment had a significant effect either partially or simultaneously on the performance of MSME employees in Pasuruan Regency with work motivation as an intervening variable

Abstract

This study aims to determine and explain the effect of green trust, green marketing and green perceived quality on green purchase intention. The type of research used is explanatory with a quantitative approach. The population in this study were students of the Faculty of Economics & Business and the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences Semester VII and were still active at W.R. Supratman University in Surabaya. The sample used in this study was 71 respondents who were taken using purposive sampling and data collection methods using questionnaires or online questionnaires. Data analysis used is descriptive statistical analysis and multiple linear regression analysis. The data in this study were processed using SPSS 23 for Windows. The results of this study indicate that green trust, green marketing and green perceived quality partially affect the green purchase intention of mineral water in Aqua packaging.

Abstract

Community Service activities are carried out at the Batam Tourism Polytechnic by collaborating with the Teramia Kindergarten Education Institute as a partner. Making muffin products and explaining hospitality is the main theme currently being carried out by lecturers at the Batam Tourism Polytechnic. The dedication was carried out well in November 2023 and received full support from Kindergarten teachers, parents and students of Teramia Kindergarten. The purpose of Community Service activities is to foster a sense of togetherness with children through a dish, starting from making gluten free muffin products at the Batam Tourism Polytechnic which generates creativity for kindergarten children, thus improving the quality and cleanliness of muffin production dedicated to the development of child hospitality.

Abstract

We, the academic community from Batam Tourism Polytechnic, do our service because English Travel Service Training is very much needed and useful for those who want to enter the world of work, so all students, especially those majoring in tourism, must take advantage of this training. This service is executed out by attending the location, which is a way of analysis and issue resolution by offering theoretical assistance, which this time took place on May 26 2023 at SMKN 02 Batam and the participants were students of class 11 majoring in tourism at SMKN 02 Batam and teachers as assistants for the Middle School State Vocational No. 2 Batam is a superior, reputable, quality State Tourism School, as well as being a center for tourism education and development which is located on Jalan Pemuda no. 5 Legend of Malacca, Batam Center Kodya Batam Riau Archipelago Province, which has 5 majors namely Accounting Expertise, Department of Tourism Service Business, Hospitality, Culinary, Fashion, Beauty & Spa. This school also has a variety of extracurricular activities such as e-sports, choir, Malay arts, green school, badminton, dance, spirit, scouts, Japanese, English, paskibra, PMR, music and martial arts, so servants are sure to be more This school will excel again if it continues to improve training based on English and tourism awareness.

Abstract

The largest city in the Riau Islands is Batam. Melayu Beach, which is located on Bridge 4 Barelang, is one of the interesting places in Batam City, about a 15 minute drive from Bridge 1 or around 45 minutes drive from Batu Aji. Melayu Beach can be said to be a beach that has been operating for a long time, therefore Melayu Beach has become quiet and visitors are starting to become less interested in Melayu Beach. This causes the need for a comprehensively planned tourist destination development strategy. The qualitative descriptive research methodology was chosen for this research. Data collection techniques are as follows: questionnaires, interviews, observation, literature review, and documentation. SWOT analysis is used in research to determine how well tourist attraction development methods have succeeded in increasing the number of visitors by evaluating the advantages, disadvantages, possibilities and dangers of each strategy. Based on the results of research using the SWOT matrix with four quadrants, the IFAS and EFAS matrices, it is clear that a business diversification plan is needed to maximize the attractiveness of the Malay coast tourist attraction as well as optimize its strengths and weaknesses. The development process is as follows: (1) Expanding social media with strong branding to develop Malay beaches and distributing brochures about Barelang Malay beaches in Batam, (2) Employing local people there to manage Malay beaches so that reduce the unemployment rate and increase the economic wealth of the area surrounding the Malay coast, (3) Improve the facilities and rides on the Malay coast, and (4) Protect and maintain the ecosystem on the Malay coast.

Abstract

Kegiatan PKM ini menggambarkan kegiatan sosialisasi ilmu pengetahuan hospitality yang diadakan di SMAN 19 Batam oleh tim dosen dari Politeknik Pariwisata Batam. Tujuannya adalah untuk memperkenalkan siswa dengan dunia industri perhotelan serta mendorong minat mereka untuk mengejar karir di bidang tersebut. Melalui serangkaian kegiatan seperti penyuluhan, workshop, dan kunjungan lapangan, siswa diberikan kesempatan untuk memperdalam pemahaman mereka tentang aspek-aspek penting dalam industri perhotelan, termasuk etika profesi, keterampilan komunikasi, dan kepemimpinan. Dukungan dari praktisi dan ahli hospitality dalam menyampaikan materi juga menjadi faktor kunci dalam membentuk pemahaman yang komprehensif bagi siswa. Selain memberikan pengetahuan teoritis, kegiatan ini juga memberikan kesempatan praktis bagi siswa untuk merasakan langsung suasana dan tugas-tugas yang terlibat dalam dunia perhotelan melalui simulasi dan kunjungan lapangan. Hal ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pengalaman nyata yang dapat memperkuat pemahaman siswa serta membantu mereka mengembangkan keterampilan yang diperlukan di dunia kerja. Selain itu, kegiatan ekstrakurikuler terkait hospitality juga diperkuat sebagai upaya untuk mendorong partisipasi siswa dalam aktivitas yang dapat memperdalam pemahaman dan keterampilan mereka dalam industri perhotelan. Rekomendasi untuk melanjutkan kegiatan serupa di masa mendatang termasuk perluasan jangkauan ke lebih banyak sekolah, penguatan kolaborasi dengan industri perhotelan lokal, serta evaluasi berkelanjutan terhadap dampak jangka panjang dari kegiatan ini. Dengan demikian, diharapkan kegiatan pengabdian ini dapat terus berkembang dan memberikan manfaat yang signifikan bagi siswa serta industri perhotelan di Batam.

Abstract

Pengabdian Sosialisasi Edukasi Masyarakat Dalam Penerapan Hygiene Sanitasi dan Keamanan Makanan Produk Catering di PT Mitra Jaya Harmoni sangat dibutuhkan dan bermanfaat bagi karyawan MJH dan pengabdi, maka harus memanfaatkan pelatihan ini. Pengabdian ini dilaksanakan mendatangi tempat yang dituju dimana metode analisa dan menyelesaikan masalahnya dengan memberikan pengarahan theorikal practek yang bertempat di PT. Mitra Jaya Harmoni dengan alamat Kompleks Ruko Greenland Blok V, No. 02 Batam Center 29431 pada Jum’at 19 April 2024. Dalam pengabdian ini para supervisor setempat sebagai pendamping pekerjanya yang mandapat arahan dari team pengabdi. Para pengabdi dari Politeknik Pariwisata Batam yang unggul, terkemuka, berkualitas yang menjadi pusat pendidikan dan pengembangan pariwisata teruma bidang perhotelan sebagai pengarah tidak perlu diragukan lagi dimana para pengabdi berlokasi di jalan Gajah Mada the Vitka City Complek, Tiban Batam Propinsi Kepulauan Riau, dimana memiliki 4 jurusan yaitu Manajemen Devisi Kamar, Manajemen Devisi Tata Hidang, Manajemen Devisi Kulinar dan Manajemen Perencanaan Pariwisata.
