Abstract

Indonesia is a country known for its rich natural and cultural resources. One of the tourism sectors in North Sumatra is the Toba Batak culture. Where one aspect of culture in the Toba Batak reflects the potential for cultural tourism in Huta Tinggi, Samosir Regency. To develop and advance the potential of the tourism sector, especially in Huta Tinggi, Samosir Regency, and also as an effort to preserve culture, a Homestay building is needed which is one of the important factors in the development of the Homestay area in Huta Tinggi, Samosir Regency. local wisdom with a modern form (Neo-Vernacular) Toba Batak. This is because Neo-Vernacular Architecture shows a modern form but still has the image or characteristics of the area, but with a touch that is in accordance with the context of today. In the context of realizing the Samosir Regency Vision "The Realization of a Prosperous, Independent, and Competitive Samosir Community Based on Tourism and Agriculture" then to achieve this the Samosir Regency government has made eight missions, two of which are; Development of environmental and cultural tourism as well as community empowerment as the main actors in the tourism business, and increasing the development of public facilities and infrastructure that support the tourism industry, smooth the economy and facilitate public services, one of the main elements of which is the preservation/conservation of all sites and tourist objects in the area. Samosir Regency. The research method in this design Determine the design topic, which in this case is the design of Homestay in Huta Tinggi, Samosir Regency Primary data collection is carried out by surveying the field to collect data needed in the design Questionnaireor questions about Homestay. Data analysis and the results of using the concept of a circulation plan the sopo in the form of a greenhouse sopo the concept of a meeting hall is formed from a perspective that raises the concept of the foundation pillars of a Batak Toba traditional house the concept an exhibition room By applying the concept of a mimetic theme in architecture, this homestay building in Huta Tinggi Regency, Samosir contains the typical characteristics of the Toba Batak culture which we know as the Tatak Toba traditional house (Rumah Bolon) along with the Batak gorga which is an attraction for visitors and with that we can introduce our culture to foreign tourists. educational f, informative, recreational as well as making visitors interested and comfortable visiting Samosir Regency and staying at a Homestay located in Huta Tinggi.

Abstract

Tourism has now become the prima donna of the world and a source of income for several countries in the world. Increasing tourism destinations and investment, making tourism a key factor in export earnings, job creation, business and infrastructure development. Currently, Nisel has its own annual agenda to increase its tourism. However, the existence of buildings to accommodate all these activities is still very minimal. The design of the South Nias Cultural Center is a building design response to the need for new facilities in South Nias Regency, especially in the arts and culture fields. Coupled with the application of the Neo-Vernacular approach, this design is a process of inculcating cultural values ​​in a building design for the South Nias Cultural Center. With the existence of the South Nias Cultural Center, The longing to witness various cultural events and traditional arts of South Nias will be fulfilled even more due to the new facilities that are more organized and organized. In addition, the South Nias Cultural Center is expected to become a new tourism icon in South Nias Regency, especially on the Baloho beach and take part in advancing South Nias tourism in the future.

Abstract

Generally, tidal flooding that comes every day to belawan Bagan Deli beach is a serious problem. Many of the causes of this tidal flood include global warming, seawater at high tide, and poor drainage due to the large piles of garbage. The tide level reached 2.7 meters from the current sea level, and people's economic activities stopped for a while. The pile of garbage caused the surrounding houses to become shabby and dirty. This study aims to obtain a home design solution in anticipation of high tide due to tidal flooding that enters residents' homes with the concept of floating houses in the Bagan Deli area. The research method uses the floating foundation engineering design method by using a floating system on the foundation (base) of the house and the connection on the pole so that the house remains in place (fixed position). The results of this study will be conveyed back to the community and local government to improve the quality of life of the people in the Bagan Deli Belawan area.

Abstract

Rivers are places, containers, and networks of water irrigation from springs to estuaries. The existence of rivers with their nature that flows from upstream to downstream has the potential for opportunity value and externality effects between upstream and downstream or along river flows (Pangesti, 2000). Eco-Tech-Edu Tourism Combination and integration of learning across applicable programs, the flow of the Babarsari river looks clear and flows well, so this is used in the construction of living labs and industrial parks. In its use as ecotourism, it is necessary to analyze the burden of pollutants. In determining the burden of pollutants, it is necessary to carry out water analysis and water status analysis based on the Decree of the Minister of Environment no. 115 of 2003 concerning guidelines for water quality status.

Abstract

The Al-amin Science And Industrial Park area is projected to become a center for field laboratories and workshops that accommodate all study programs at UNPAB. In addition, the Al-amin Science And Industrial Park area is also planned to be the location of Ecoedutourism (Ecoedutourism) based on agriculture and processing of agricultural products. Eco-education is expected to attract visitors to enjoy the location of the Al-amin Science And Industrial Park Area with attractions based on field activities from study programs at UNPAB such as horticultural gardens, nurseries, animal husbandry, waste management for the use of renewable energy to processing packaging of garden and livestock products. The construction of the Al-amin Science And Industrial Park Area Mosque is expected to become a center of Islamic activities consisting of worship activities, mu'amalah and da'wah education, as well as Islamic information centers, not only for the Al-amin Science And Industrial Park area but also for the surrounding community and visitors to the area.

Abstract

Art galleries are a place for art lovers who are used as a medium of interaction between artists and art connoisseurs. In the city of Medan there are communities of art lovers that are possible to develop. However, these communities cannot develop because of the activities carried out separately. The Medan art gallery will be a solution to the problem of the limitations of art lovers in the city of Medan. The purpose of this study is to examine the Medan Fine Art Gallery with an approach to the elements of Neo-Vernacular Architecture and develop it in a more modern form. In the design of the Medan Fine Arts Gallery, there are three main functions, namely without the visual arts communities in the city of Medan, Wadah trades the works of Medan children, and develops a creative economy which includes applying elements of the Neo-vernacular Architecture theme. This theme can be a basic reference in design as well as a unique value that displays the overall design result. The theme approach will produce a modern form but still have local cultural values. The concept is "Batak Traditional House and Ulos Fabric motif" which is one of Medan's cultural icons. Overall the building characterizes predetermined themes and concepts. A combination of themes and concepts that will produce a modern form but still apply local cultural values.

Abstract

The potential of natural resources owned by the Wong Polo beach tourism area in the Pantai Cermin sub-district needs to be explored and developed into a tourism sector without good planning, which will result in loss and quality degradation of the area that is not expected. Based on the results of the study, it is shown that the identification of the physical aspects of the beach condition supports the development of beach tourism, which is one of the beach tourism destinations located in Hamlet XI, Kota Pari Village, Pantai Cermin District, Serdang Bedagai Regency, North Sumatra. This Wong Polo beach area has white sand beaches and Mangrove forest areas based on nature tourism and the pattern of structuring the zones in the Wong Polo beach area leads and is oriented towards the waters as well as to facilitate these tourist attractions into areas of a beach of interest visitors.

Abstract

The main impact resulting from sea level rise is the occurrence of high tides which result in tidal flooding to community settlements in Bagan Deli Village. This phenomenon has a negative impact on improving the quality of life indicators in a settlement. Inadequate house shape to prevent tidal flooding and irregular spatial patterns are factors in this research. The purpose of this study is to produce a floating house arrangement design solution which is expected to be a solution for areas affected by tidal flooding. This research method uses a pattern of circulation forms that already exist in Bagan Deli Village and applies the concept of a floating house design with architectural design principles. The results of this study will be published so that it can become a theoretical basis for the community and government in improving the quality of the community environment affected by the tidal flood.

Abstract

The surface around Belawan is nearly below the water level. So that at high tide Belawan automatically inundated. This is a phenomenon that has become a tradition at high tide. Tidal flood is a flood whose water comes from sea water. This tidal flood is a flood caused by the tide of sea water, until the tidal water inundates the land. This tidal flood is also known as inundation flood. This tidal flood will often hit or often occur in areas whose surface is lower than sea level. Because it is caused by the overflow of sea water that reaches the mainland, the water that is inundated due to this tidal flood has a color that tends to be clearer than the water in the usual floods. Tidal flood itself has several special characteristics or special characteristics it has. Some of the characteristics or characteristics of tidal flooding, among others, occur when the sea water is high, the color of the water is not too cloudy, it does not only occur when the rainy season arrives, usually occurs in areas that have a lower plains area than the ocean area. Impacts that arise due to tidal flooding, therefore many or small tidal floods must have a negative impact on the people who experience it, causing material losses, damaging buildings, causing the environment to become dirty and muddy, spreading germs. The floating house is a solution in tackling flooding due to high tide. By using a layout pattern with architectural design principles by considering drainage, comfort, and a clean and well-organized environment.

Abstract

Tidal flooding in coastal areas is a problem that is currently very difficult to solve, especially in the Bagan Deli area of Belawan. Global warming is the main factor in melting the polar ice caps and causing sea levels to rise, when the tide rises to 2.7 meters above sea level, which temporarily stops the activities and economy of residents in the Bagan Deli Belawan area. This study aims to solve problems and obtain design solutions with the concept of floating tourism to prevent tidal water due to tidal flooding into residential areas. The research method uses the hull engineering design method (Hull) as a floating medium above which will be made into a tourist area and linked to an experimental electromechanical module (MOSE) to prevent tidal flood waters from entering residential areas, so that tourist areas are not washed away. The results of this study will be a recommend  for the concept of preventing tidal flooding in all residential areas in coastal areas.
