Abstract

This service activity is motivated by the need for self-development of vocational school children after graduating from school. On this basis, it is very important to launch a competency improvement program for prospective graduates through several training activities and courses. The purpose of this activity is to facilitate group members to develop and achieve social change and goals as well as the desired benefits, namely by building skills and good cooperation between members through cooking cake training activities in self-development for these vocational school children. One of the activities that can be carried out by setting a priority program is holding cooking classes in the hope of increasing their skills and deepening their knowledge of economical and hygienic food and developing new soft skills (a program based on the common hobbies of group members). The method of implementing this activity is based on the theory in the Social Welfare Study Program, namely using the Mezzo level with intervention or a Group Work method or group approach (Based on the theory of Zastrow, 2004:50-54). The stages include the intake stage (building relationships), the assessment and intervention planning stage, the member selection stage, the group development stage, and finally the evaluation and termination stage (the stage of severing relations with the client/target group). The target of this activity is five Vocational High School (SMK) children who are doing practicum at the Social Service Office, Jl. Abstract

Upaya penguatan karakter nasionalisme melalui pendidikan karakter di sekolah merupakan salah satu hal yang sangat penting bagi generasi penerus bangsa ditengah berbagai fenomena kemerosotan karakter bangsa. Namun akibat adanya pandemi pandemi Covid-19 yang melanda Indonesia membuat sektor pendidikan terhambat, mengakibatkan lembaga pendidikan kesulitan dalam memberikan penguatan pendidikan karakter terkhususnya karakter nasionalisme siswa. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMP Negeri 1 Kuala, Kabupaten Langkat yang bertujuan mendapatkan gambaran tentang dampak pendidikan karakter terhadap karakter nasionalisme pada siswa SMP Negeri 1 Kuala Kabupaten Langkat pada masa pandemi Covid-19. Informan kunci dari penelitian ini yaitu Wakil Kepala Sekolah SMP Negeri 1 Kuala, informan utama yaitu 2 guru SMP Negeri 1 Kuala dan 3 siswa SMP Negeri 1 Kuala, dan informan tambahan yaitu 2 orang tua dari siswa SMP Negeri 1 Kuala. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode penelitian deskriptif, lalu teori yang digunakan yaitu teori indikator nasionalisme. Hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu bahwa pendidikan karakter selama pandemi Covid- 19 berdampak terhadap beberapa aspek karakter nasionalisme siswa yang dapat dilihat dari 6 indikator nasionalisme seperti, mengadopsi nilai-nilai kepahlawanan, menghargai kebinekaan Indonesia, sikap mendahulukan kepentingan bersama dari pada kepentingan pribadi, menghargai perbedaan pendapat, menghormati hak-hak orang, dan kerelaan membantu yang terkena musibah.

Abstract

Anak merupakan individu yang tergolong dalam masa perkembangan dan perubahan. Anak termasuk individu yang memerlukan pendidikan. Pendidikan pada anak merupakan sebuah dasar yang dapat digunakan untuk masa depan. Pendidikan dibutuhkan oleh anak guna menumbuhkan rasa tanggung jawab dan meningkatkan partisipasinya dalam masyarakat serta berkontribusi untuk kemajuan negaranya. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Tempat Pembuangan Akhir Batu Bola berlokasi di Desa Simatohir Kecamatan Angkola Julu, Kota Padangsidimpuan. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui bagaimana dampak sosial ekonomi pemulung terhadap tingkat pendidikan anak di TPA Batu Bola. Informan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari penjaga TPA Batu Bola, 5 orang pemulung, serta Kepala Desa Simatohir dan 2 orang anak pemulung. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan studi pustaka, observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Metode yang digunakan ialah metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Untuk menjawab permasalahan penelitian, digunakan teori kondisi sosial ekonomi oleh Soehandono dan tingkat pendidikan formal menurut UU Sisdiknas. Sehingga ditemukan bahwa kondisi sosial ekonomi pemulung berdampak terhadap tingkat pendidikan formal anak mereka, dari teori kondisi sosial ekonomi oleh Soehandono antara lain kondisi rumah, kegiatan ekonomi, pangan, sandang dan aktivitas sosial. Serta dilihat dari tingkat pendidikan formal yang dimiliki anak pemulung berdasarkan UU Sisdiknas meliputi tingkat pendidikan dasar, tingkat pendidikan menengah, dan tingkat pendidikan tinggi

Abstract

Mathematics is one of the fields of study taught in schools. Both elementary schools, junior high schools and public high schools. In Mathematics Lesson there are various kinds of material presented, starting from Multiplication, Addition, Division, Subtraction, Trigonometry, and much more. Learning Mathematics at school is expected that all students can know numbers and be able to count, because in the real world and work in mathematics it is very important so that there are no such things as Number Illiteracy and Calculation Stuttering. But who would have thought that there were many children who still did not understand mathematics, one of them was the children at the Panti Asuhan Solaya (PASO), the children complained that they did not understand Mathematics material, namely Multiplication and Division. the interesting subject of Mathematics and the difficulty of Mathematics. In this complaint, children need motivation to be enthusiastic and learn mathematics while playing so that children do not get bored in learning. And to overcome these problems optimally, Mini Project Practicum 2 was carried out, where the project used the Group Work Intervention method which consisted of several stages, namely Assessment, Planning, Intervention, Monitoring, Evaluation, and Termination. The implementation of the intervention method is expected to have a good impact on children.

Abstract

Recovery  is  a  process  that  a  drug  addict  must  go  through  if  he  wants  to  be  completely  cured  of  his addiction.  Recovery  does  not  mean  just  stopping  using  (drugs),  recovery  must  be  understood  as  the creation  of  a  newlifestyle,  thus  it  will  be  easier  for  someone  to  decide  not  to  use  (drugs)  again.  In recovery  there  are  three  things  that  must  be  considered,  namely  avoiding  high-risk  situations,  learning how  to  relax,  and  telling  the  truth.  Recovery  demands  total  honesty,  that  is,  if  you  want  to  recover,  you have  to  be  one  hundred  percent  honest  with  the  people  who  support  you,  such  as  family,  doctors, therapists,  etc.  If  you  can't  be  honest  with  them  then  the  recovery  won't  go  well.  Being  totally  honest means not givinghis addictive  nature  a place to hide. If you lie, it means you have opened the  door for relapse.  An  opportunity  to  change  life  can  be  seen  as  an  opportunity  to  change  life.  Changing  lives  is what makes recovery difficult but also profitable. Recovery is difficult because a person has to change his or her life, and all changes are difficult, even if it turns out to be good. Recovery is beneficial because a person gets the opportunity to change his life. If we take the opportunity to change, then we will look back and  reflect  on  our addiction as  the  one  good  thing  that  ever  happened  in  life.  In  recovery,  people  often describe  themselves  as  grateful  addicts.  Why  should  someone  be  grateful  to  have  experienced  an addiction  because  starting  from  that  addiction  they  are  then  helped  to  find  the  peace  and  serenity  that many people seek. Abstract

Sexual violence is a social problem that is still common in society and can happen to anyone, both women and men, both children and adults to the elderly. The basic form of prevention of sexual violence against children that can be done is to give them an understanding of the meaning of sexual violence, how to protect themselves and what to do if they experience sexual violence. During this practical field work opportunity, I carried out a mini project in the sexual violence class with NA, who is my client, and 11 grade V students at SDN 060919 and carried out for 3 months from start to finish. Implementation of the mini project through several stages, namely 1) Engagement, Intake, Contract, 2) Assessment, 3) Planning, 4) Intervention, 5) Evaluation and 6) Termination. The results of the implementation of the mini project that has been carried out also show that there has been an increase in NA's understanding such as he understands the concept of sexual violence better and becomes more aware of and knows how to prevent sexual violence from happening to himself, NA becomes wary of strangers and ensures that body parts are private he is not touched by others. This is concrete evidence that the mini project that was implemented succeeded in overcoming NA's problem, namely the lack of self-understanding of sexual violence.

Abstract

The rise of bullying in the community is very troubling, especially in the school environment. In this case bullying at school can have very serious effects both in the short and long term for the victims. In the short term Bullying can lead to feelings of insecurity, fear of going to school, feeling isolated, feelings of low selfesteem, depression or even suffering from stress which can end in suicide for the victim. Meanwhile, in the long term, victims of bullying can experience emotional and behavioral problems. Therefore, to prevent bullying from escalating, assistance is needed to increase students' knowledge about the negative effects of bullying and invite students to make changes. The process of providing this assistance will be carried out through PKL 1 activities by creating a Mini Project. Activities will be carried out using the casework method which consists of the Engagement Intake Contract, Assessment, Planning, Intervention, Evaluation, and finally Termination. The focus of the client's problem solving process is to educate students about bullying through verbal explanations, animated videos, making posters, and taking real action in the field. The final result of this program was declared successful, it can be seen from the significant changes in students, namely starting to reduce the attitude of ridicule, getting more compact, and increasing students' knowledge about bullying.

Abstract

Bullying merupakan perilaku agresif berupa kekerasan atau intimidasi yang dilakukan oleh seseorang atau kelompok kepada korban yang lebih lemah. Perilaku ini sangat merugikan korban dan berdampak buruk bagi tumbuh kembang anak. Untuk itu, Pemerintah Kabupaten Labuhan Batu melakukan sosialisasi pencegahan bullying di sekolah-sekolah. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis pelaksanaan dan dampak sosialisasi pencegahan bullying oleh Bupati Labuhan Batu. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan wawancara mendalam kepada dinas pendidikan, kepala sekolah, guru, siswa dan orangtua. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sosialisasi yang dilakukan memberikan pemahaman lebih baik tentang bahaya bullying kepada warga sekolah. Namun, diperlukan tindak lanjut berupa implementasi kebijakan anti-bullying di sekolah agar perilaku ini benar-benar dapat dicegah. Disimpulkan bahwa sosialisasi yang dilakukan pemerintah daerah merupakan langkah awal yang baik, namun perlu ditingkatkan agar memberikan dampak nyata bagi pencegahan bullying di sekolah.

Abstract

In USU partner MBKM activities, it is necessary to have one form of program to be implemented in schools. This activity was chosen so that students can express the results of their imagination. So they can make creativity such as drawing and coloring which makes them happy and happy in the atmosphere of everyday formal learning activities. This activity also trains students so they can have creativity in drawing and coloring to give colors that match the image object. This activity is expected to improve students' ability to concentrate in carrying out future assignments. This activity was carried out to welcome the commemoration of National Education Day 2023.
