Abstract

A number of different parties, from both the governmental and private sectors, have attempted various means of overcoming poverty, such as through a zakat institution. As an official zakat institution, BAZNAS has established the Zakat Community Development (ZCD) program. The ZCD program seeks to empower communities by targeting the mustahiq living in underdeveloped villages in terms of prosperity, facilities, and infrastructure. The program has the objective of enabling the members of mustahiq communities to help each other manage the funds provided by BAZNAS, so that their prosperity can be increased. Related to this program, BAZNAS has developed a measurement tool called the Indeks Desa Zakat, or IDZ, which emphasizes Islamic elements, such as those relating to religion, as its very important aspects, in addition to the economic, social, health, and education aspects. This research aims to answer questions regarding the overall condition of villages targeted for the ZCD program by central BAZNAS, in addition to identifying underdeveloped villages to prioritize for assistance. The results demonstrate that from the implementation of Indeks Desa Zakat (IDZ) calculations in the priority areas of the ZCD program, it can be concluded that among the three research locations, RT 34 Beruntung Jaya Village is the village that should be most highly prioritized for a ZCD program, with an index value of 0.48. This value places the village in the good category based on the IDZ score range; therefore, it can be considered for assistance.

Abstract

The growth of MSMEs has been steadily increasing each year, yet they still face various challenges. One of the sectors contributing the most to the national economy is the food and culinary industry. MSMEs in Maringgit Village sell traditional foods from the Hulu Sungai Tengah region, such as kue cincin, rice cakes, kue apam, kue jabuk, sugar-coated peanuts, and other processed foods. Increasingly fierce competition has made it difficult for them to compete due to limited knowledge of how to increase income and sales. This study focuses on how MSMEs in Maringgit Village can boost their income through halal certification and modern marketing. The lack of information and knowledge has caused business owners to misunderstand regulations governing halal certification. Therefore, outreach and assistance with halal product certification are crucial to help these products enter modern markets. This community service aims to help MSMEs in Maringgit Village overcome these challenges. The assistance in halal certification and modern marketing training is carried out in stages, both online and offline. Success indicators were tested using difference tests. The results of this community service show that the knowledge and income of MSME food producers in Maringgit Village significantly increased after participating in the training. Income increased by 122%, with statistical results showing a significant change with a very strong correlation. Knowledge increased by 60%, with statistical results showing a significant change with a strong correlation.

Abstract

Food sector inflation significantly impacts economic stability and social welfare, particularly in Banjarmasin City, which heavily relies on external food supplies. Rising food prices directly reduce purchasing power, widen economic inequality, and increase the risk of social instability. This study aims to analyze the factors driving food inflation, evaluate inflation trends over the past five years, and assess the effectiveness of price control policies implemented. Data were obtained from the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS), Bank Indonesia, and local government policy documents, analyzed using a mixed-methods approach that combines quantitative and qualitative analyses to understand inflation patterns and policy effectiveness. The findings reveal that internal factors such as limited local food production, distribution inefficiencies, and dependency on external supplies largely contribute to price fluctuations. Meanwhile, external factors including disruptions in global supply chains, commodity price volatility, and import policy uncertainties further exacerbate inflationary pressures. Programs such as subsidized market operations, interregional cooperation, development of distribution infrastructure, and price transparency initiatives have been implemented; however, challenges remain regarding supply sustainability and distribution efficiency. Therefore, this study recommends strengthening logistics infrastructure, optimizing supply chains, diversifying local food production, and utilizing agricultural technology to improve productivity and cost efficiency. A sustainability-oriented strategy is expected to maintain food price stability, enhance community welfare, and support regional economic growth.

Abstract

The potential of rural women weavers in the Sabumi Group in Pagatan, Tanah Bumbu Regency, is highly significant, particularly in the villages of Manurung, Mundalang, and Saring. Among a total of 67 weavers, 63 are women, highlighting the dominant role of women in preserving and developing the traditional Pagatan weaving craft. This community service program aims to establish a Pagatan weaving business incubator through the formation of a youth group that functions as a center for training, production, and business development for women’s weaving communities. Additionally, the program seeks to create a digital platform for promoting and marketing Pagatan woven products through social media and online marketplaces. The implementation involved several stages, including mapping the complete network of weaving actors, conducting a SWOT analysis to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats, and providing training on digital marketing strategies. Furthermore, activities included content creation, product digitalization, and the establishment of a shared marketplace account to expand the market reach of woven products. One of the key achievements was the formation of the Kelompok Tenun Muda Majang Kaluku, consisting of 20 young weavers from Manurung and Mundalang villages. This group is expected to play a vital role in sustaining the weaving tradition while introducing modern business and marketing practices. Overall, this initiative demonstrates that integrating traditional skills with digital marketing innovation can enhance economic empowerment for rural women, foster cultural preservation, and strengthen local creative economies in Tanah Bumbu Regency.
