Abstract

Classification is a part of data mining that aims to predict the class of data using a trained machine learning model. K-Nearest Neighbor (K-NN) is one of the classification methods that uses the concept of distance to the nearest neighbor in creating classification models. However, K-NN has limitations in handling imbalanced class distributions. This core problem can be addressed by applying a class balancing technique. One such technique is the Synthetic Minority Oversampling Technique for Nominal and Continuous (SMOTE-NC), which is suitable for datasets containing both nominal and continuous variables. The aim of this research is to classify Honda motorcycle loan customer data at Company Z using the K-NN method combined with SMOTE-NC to address data imbalance. This research method is experimental, using a 10-fold cross-validation approach to partition training and testing data. The input variables include gender, occupation, length of installment, income, installment amount, motorcycle price, and down payment, while the output variable is payment status (current or non-current). The results of this research are: the optimal K value for classification using K-NN with SMOTE-NC is K = 1, with an average APER (Average Probability of Error Rate) of 0.143. The best result is found in subset 8 with an APER value of 0.033. In this subset, out of 61 data points, 34 current-status customers are correctly classified as current, and 25 non-current-status customers are correctly classified as non-current, with only one misclassification in each class. The conclusion of this study is that the combination of SMOTE-NC and K-NN (K=1) provides high classification accuracy for imbalanced data, and can be effectively used to support credit risk assessment in motorcycle financing.

Abstract

The potential of rural women weavers in the Sabumi Group in Pagatan, Tanah Bumbu Regency, is highly significant, particularly in the villages of Manurung, Mundalang, and Saring. Among a total of 67 weavers, 63 are women, highlighting the dominant role of women in preserving and developing the traditional Pagatan weaving craft. This community service program aims to establish a Pagatan weaving business incubator through the formation of a youth group that functions as a center for training, production, and business development for women’s weaving communities. Additionally, the program seeks to create a digital platform for promoting and marketing Pagatan woven products through social media and online marketplaces. The implementation involved several stages, including mapping the complete network of weaving actors, conducting a SWOT analysis to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats, and providing training on digital marketing strategies. Furthermore, activities included content creation, product digitalization, and the establishment of a shared marketplace account to expand the market reach of woven products. One of the key achievements was the formation of the Kelompok Tenun Muda Majang Kaluku, consisting of 20 young weavers from Manurung and Mundalang villages. This group is expected to play a vital role in sustaining the weaving tradition while introducing modern business and marketing practices. Overall, this initiative demonstrates that integrating traditional skills with digital marketing innovation can enhance economic empowerment for rural women, foster cultural preservation, and strengthen local creative economies in Tanah Bumbu Regency.

Abstract

This academic paper provides a comprehensive analysis of mixed marriages and the legal status of children within the context of Indonesian International Private Law. The study meticulously explores the formal definition of a mixed marriage, establishing it as a legal union between individuals of different citizenships, thereby subject to intersecting national legal systems. The research delves into the specific regulatory framework governing Mixed Marriages in Indonesia, with a critical examination of Law No. 1 of 1974 on Marriage and its implementing regulations. A significant portion of the analysis is dedicated to the intricate legal aspects concerning the child's status in a mixed marriage. This encompasses a detailed discussion on the child's citizenship, governed by the principle of ius sanguinis under Law No. 12 of 2006 on Citizenship, which creates potential for dual citizenship and subsequent legal complexities. The paper further investigates the fundamental rights and obligations of the child, affirming that these must be upheld irrespective of parental nationality, including the inalienable right to a legal identity, parental care, and formal education. Concurrently, the research outlines the concomitant parental obligations in a mixed marriage, which are paramount and include the provision of nurture, guidance, and comprehensive protection for the child's well-being. The study concludes with a critical evaluation of the practical implementation of these mixed marriage law aspects in Indonesia, identifying discernible gaps between statutory provisions and their real-world application. It underscores persistent challenges in juridical practice and administrative consistency, ultimately highlighting the ongoing pursuit of complete legal certainty for binational families navigating the Indonesian legal landscape.
