Abstract

Background: Sensory Play is an active play facility that involves touch, taste, smell, sight, hearing, vestibular, and proprioception. Sensory play can support the development of speech and language, gross and fine motor skills, cognitive abilities, and social interaction, especially with their peers. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of the sensory playbook 30 days using an approach of sensory play on the development of children aged 6-36 months in Ngawen District, Gunung Kidul Regency. Method: This research is a descriptive study using quantitative methods to measure the level of children development with a pre-test and post-test approach using the Developmental Pre Screening Questionnaire (KPSP). An intervention in the form of sensory play from the book "30 Days of Sensory Play Ideas to Support Toddler Growth" was also used Results: Based on the results of the study showed the Chi-Square test p value < 0.000 where p < 0.005. Thus it can be concluded that there is an influence  from the sensory playbook  on the development of children aged 6 - 36 months in Ngawen District, Gunung Kidul Regency. Conclusion: The Intervention of the 30 Days Idea Sensory Play Book has an effect on the development of children aged 6 - 36 months showing an influence on development which is seen through the interpretation of dubious KPSP results or deviations from being age-appropriate. Community health center or midwife can suggest the parents to use sensory play in order to improve their children's growth and development.

Abstract

Stunting merupakan masalah kesehatan yang serius pada balita, ditandai dengan pertumbuhan fisik dan perkembangan kognitif yang terhambat akibat kekurangan asupan gizi dalam jangka waktu lama. Kota Surakarta, khususnya Kecamatan Pasar Kliwon, menjadi salah satu wilayah dengan kasus stunting yang fluktuatif namun masih memerlukan intervensi berkelanjutan. Penelitian ini bertujuan meningkatkan pengetahuan ibu balita mengenai pencegahan stunting melalui edukasi gizi dan pengenalan MPASI berbahan pangan lokal tinggi protein. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat dilaksanakan di Posyandu Kelurahan Pasar Kliwon pada Juli 2022 dengan melibatkan 28 ibu dan balita. Metode yang digunakan meliputi ceramah interaktif, diskusi kelompok, serta edukasi pembuatan MPASI berbahan dasar lokal. Materi disampaikan menggunakan leaflet, dan keberhasilan kegiatan dievaluasi secara kualitatif melalui pengamatan keterlibatan peserta serta pengenalan media pemeriksaan KPSP. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan pengetahuan dan antusiasme peserta terhadap materi stunting dan pencegahan melalui pemberian MPASI sehat. Interaksi aktif selama diskusi dan minat terhadap inovasi produk MPASI menjadi indikator keberhasilan edukasi.

Abstract

Background: In adolescents aged 15-20 years, anemia is a disease that is susceptible, especially in young women. Early prevention efforts use educational videos motion graphics It has not been widely studied as to how much influence it has on knowledge and perceptions regarding the prevention of anemia in adolescents. This study aims to determine the effect of the Prevent Adolescent Anemia (CARE) educational video on knowledge and perceptions of preventing anemia in adolescents. Subjects and Method: A quantitative study was conducted on 68 teenage girls who were susceptible to anemia. This research used a quasi-experimental design that was held in February 2024 at Abi-Ummi Boyolali Islamic Boarding School. The dependent variable were adolescent knowledge and perception. The independent variable was Cegah Anemia Remaja (CARE) educa­tional video. The difference in values between the two groups was analyzed using the Wilcoxon matched-pairs signed-ranks test. The influence of the CARE educational video on adolescents' knowledge and perceptions of anemia was examined using multinomial logistic regression. Results: The prevalence of knowledge of preventing anemia in adolescents is 58.8% sufficient and the majority's perception of preventing anemia in adolescents is good, at 94.1%. The effect of CARE educational videos on knowledge is significant (OR= 5.40; p &lt;0.001) and on perception is also significant (OR= 5.48; p= 0.013). Conclusion: Health education through the Cegah Anemia Remaja (CARE) Educational Video has an effect on increasing knowledge and perception of anemia prevention in female adolescents.
