The key to the success of cervical cancer control programs is screening followed by adequate treatment. The socio-economic status gap and the low level of education lead to limited awareness and understanding of women of childbearing age. Increasing the capacity of knowledge of women of childbearing age through health education either directly or indirectly is important. Therefore, there is need to develop health education by utilizing the rapidly growing media today such as through the application of cross platform messages on smartphones. This study aims to analyze the effect of the application of health education on detection of cervical cancer through the application of cross-platform messages to increase knowledge and attitude of Women in Childbearing Age. A quasi-experimental research of pre-posttest design with control groups conducted consisting of 72 subjects of Women in Childbearing Age. Fogg's Behavior Model was the conceptual framework that guided the development of the cross-platform messaging intervention. A series of checklist from expert panel conducted to inform the development of the cross-platform messaging intervention. The messages are delivered for a 7-day period in the morning. Data collection using a checklist instrument. Univariable analysis through Rasch and bivariable modeling using numerical categorical comparative test, difference using T test. Findings revealed a significant increase in participants’ knowledge and attitude of cervical cancer screening. Women of Childbearing Age whose health education through cross-platform application has a 3.5 times probability of knowledge and good attitude compared to women of childbearing age who are not getting health education through cross-platform applications. Health education through cross-platform messaging services can be a cheap and effective method to improve the knowledge and attitude of women of childbearing age, as well as reaching individuals who have never done early detection of cervical cancer.

Abstract

The community still perceives stunting as a negative stigma. It potentially risks the mental health of both the child and the mother. Mother resilience is crucial to deal with biopsychosocial stressors because of stunting. This research analyzes the effects of the REKIS (Resiliensi Komunitas Ibu Dengan Anak Stunting) innovation on knowledge, attitudes, behavior, and resilience regarding stunting in mothers with stunted children. This research was a quantitative study with a quasi-experimental design. The population was mothers with children diagnosed with stunting in the Gilingan Surakarta Health Center. There were 60 respondents with the total sampling technique, 30 in the control and 30 in the intervention groups. Pre-test and post-test data were collected using knowledge, attitude, behavior, and maternal resilience questionnaires. Data analysis used the Wilcoxon Rank Sum Test to test the difference in mean scores between the control and intervention groups. In addition, the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test analyzes the difference in mean scores between the pre-and post-test. The results showed that all respondents had similar demographic characteristics (age, occupation, and education). Both groups had significant differences in pre and post-test mean scores on maternal knowledge, attitudes, behavior, and resilience (p<0.05). Significant differences were in the overall pre- and post-test mean scores on maternal knowledge, attitudes, and resilience (p<0.05). However, there was no significant difference in the pre-and post-test on maternal behavior. In conclusion, The REKIS innovation can increase the resilience of mothers with stunted children. It improves maternal knowledge and attitudes regarding stunting.

Abstract

The low self-efficacy of health cadres can impact the effectiveness of community education on postpartum family planning (KBPP). Previous studies indicate that with appropriate educational methods, the number of KBPP users can increase significantly. The Simulation Game known as the Family Planning Postpartum Bouquet Ribbon Game, or KOURIBGA, presents a promising approach to health education by offering an engaging and interactive simulation format. This study aimed to analyze the influence of KOURIBGA education on the self-efficacy of health cadres in Kedungwinong Village, Nguter District, Sukoharjo Regency. Employing a pre-experimental, pretest-posttest design, the research used a total sample of 35 health cadres. In this study, the KOURIBGA education served as the independent variable, while the dependent variable was the self-efficacy of the cadres. The results, analyzed using the Wilcoxon test, indicated a significant effect (p-value < 0.05), demonstrating that KOURIBGA education positively influenced health cadres' self-efficacy in Kedung Winong Village. Thus, KOURIBGA education can be effectively utilized to enhance self-efficacy, contributing to better reproductive health services.
